Lizard Lounge is a great venue for karaoke, cocktails, karaoke ad cocktails. One thing though.... two fers ala Lizard Lounge means that the bartender/tendress literally serves two you martinis at the same time. As if..... Putting the tepid second drink aside for a moment, the Lizard Lounge is an awesome place to channel your inner rock star. read more

Lizard Lounge is my favorite karaoke spot. I've never encountered a better sound system and the bartenders are awesome. They also offer some late night pizza options if you're hungry which is great and some super drink specials. I've been coming here for a decade and I love it. read more

I don't give many places 5 stars but I did to this joint because of the bartender and the KJ that were there. Both were very nice. I'm from L.I. but I've been living in San Francisco for 16 years I've been home once every couple of years but I haven't really been out to any gay bars. In fact there really aren't any gay bars left on L. I., at least not like there were when I was growing up. I Googled gay bars on Long Island this place popped up and I was close by so I stopped in. It's pretty much a karaoke bar which I'm always down for and they also had video games and lots of big screen TVs. It's located in Bohemia Shopping Plaza where the CVS is. I used my Waze app to get to it and it didn't exactly take me to the exactly the right place I passed it at first and had to come back around but found it. When I walked in I told the bartender that I had Googled gay bars on L.I. and this place came up and he gave me the best response ever... He said "We're open to any type of clientele. We've had gay nights here also. But open to anyone who wants to come in." It made me very happy to hear him say that. Five star! I played a couple of games of Miss Pac-Man, had me a big tall Tecate for five bucks and had a nice conversation with the bartender. I will definitely come back then perhaps sing a little ditty as well. LOL read more

This is my favorite bar ever. I was convinced I was not a bar kind of gal until a friend brought me here. Now its my home away from home :) The owner and bartenders are kind and professional, as is the DJ. Their library of songs feels endless! They even have my favorites... Disney songs! I've been to a place in NYC and their song list did not include Disney! This is the best place to go for karaoke on the island. So be a gent (And lady) by giving your patronage...buy a drink, snacks or some pizza. A business can't be supported by singing karaoke alone! Love you guys at Lizard Lounge! read more

I'm so glad I went! My sister has been trying to get me to go here, but I've been so busy! Covid handling was done well. They had every song people requested. There were even songs in French and Japanese! Come support local and go visit. read more

Waited nearly 20 minutes for a bartender to even be behind the bar, no clue where they all were, then it took forever just to get a drink after ordering. Fun place for karaoke, just horrible service read more

Karaoke bar where everyone sings horribly and wonderfully . Lots of fun!! Bring a fun crowd and be prepared to sing your heart out . Bartenders were nice and made good margaritas ... felt like the staff was pretty great for a bar. I've been to many places that you stand at the bar waiting around to be served . Not here . The staff is friendly and attentive. read more

Really fun place, good service and Jay is the best!! Drinks are good and not pricey, would definitely come back!

pregame pregame pregame i traveled over an hour and a half to get there went 3 times they serve cardboard pizza and my tab was over 150 each time for 2 people even after being remembered the karaoke set up is amazing but this is not the place to go to drink up your nerves to sing. i will be looking elsewhere. read more

Worst Bar on Long Island. The staff is incredibly rude. The owner is even worse. He attacks anyone that gives his business a bad review like myself. Maybe if he knew how to treat his customers properly I wouldn't be writing this review. The bar was empty on a Saturday night. the karaoke was terrible. Be prepared to pay $3 for a glass of water if you don't buy anything. And once the owner sees that you haven't purchased anything in his establishment he'll attack you verbally. I've met three year olds that behave better than Jay. Don't even waste your time walking into this dump. Extremely overpriced. Don't waste your time and money. They most certainly don't deserve any business whatsoever read more

I believe I have been here twice or more for 2 birthday parties. It's nice place with such of those cool video games! It's nice place to keep party running. Last party, I wasn't there that long which I had to work at night. Keep it up with this cool bar! :) and Hey.. where are the lizard? lol :P sweet! read more

Planned my girlfriend's 30th birthday here and it couldn't have gone any better! Don't let the facade fool you, this place is actually really spacious inside. Plenty of tables, seating, and also some couches make for a comfortable and accommodating venue. A few good beers on tap and also drink specials throughout the night. Music videos, TV, and video games as well. The karaoke setup is really awesome, a big stage, laser lights, strobes, fog machine, and huge selection of songs. The owner, Jay, is a great guy and helped to ensure our experience earned its 5 star rating. If you like karaoke then you MUST get to Lizard Lounge ASAP. Tip: Friday and Saturday are always packed, so if you want to sing a lot then try another night when it's not as crazy. Highly recommended! read more

Best sound system for karaoke on LI... once you come here you won't want to go anywhere else

With the exception of purely Karaoke bars, the Lizard Lounge is probably the best known K-bar on Long Island. Friendly atmosphere and great selection makes this a top draw for anyone looking to belt out a few songs. read more

For a while, I've been looking for a good karaoke bar on Long Island. Last night, I finally found that. Me and my friend went here last night and it was so much fun. Not only did they have karaoke, but they had video games there too! Such a cool place overall. I'm definitely coming back here a lot more in the future. read more

What an awesome little place. The outside does not do it justice at all. When you walk in the decor is great, they have video games everywhere to play, the bartenders are super friendly and the karoke makes this place the total package. They even put my video on their Facebook page. All in all, the best karoke place on long Island hands down. Thanks Lizard Lounge staff you made my birthday that much better :) read more

I had no expectations when I came here this past Saturday night. All I knew was I wanted to dance. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Although there was a much smaller turnout than expected for a Saturday night, those who were there all seemed to be having a good time. Those who sang karaoke seemed to be regulars and boy were they talented! Drinks were well priced and there were tons of games to play on old school consoles including Sega genesis. How fun! Overall, it was a no-fuss fun night. read more

Went here on a random. So glad I did. Nothing like purging your song demons and no better place than than the Lizzie. They have an song you can think of. The crowd is great and encouraging, they switch up drink specials to keep it exciting and the staff is attentive and know how to keep the vibe going. Shout out to the all around MVP Jay Antonio. Go and have some fun damnit. read more

I just had my 30th birthday there last night and I had a blast. I brought about 30 of my friends in the bar and we sang our hearts out. I will be back here numerous times. Tonight was my first time at this bar and I'm never ever going back. I was denied a glass of water because I hadn't purchased anything. The bartender was a complete snot. So I wrote them a 1 star review on Facebook. I wasn't able to leave because my friends had drove. While sitting and minding my business the owner comes over to me and gets in my face and kicks me out. After words were exchanged and the situation got heated the owner then insulted me, made fun of me, and my financial status. He proceeded to tell me that I have money to dye my hair but can't afford a water. I haven't dyed my hair in months and even if I did who the hell is he to judge what my wallet looks like. The owner is aggressive and nasty. Staff extremely rude. Karaoke sucks. I've been a waitress for 10 years. Ive had so many people sit at my table and order nothing. And never once charged them for water or asked them to leave. The owner is a greedy money hungry POS. So if you'd love to be denied a water and verbally abused and insulted then the Lizard Lounge Of Bohemia is the spot for you ! read more

"today was my first time at lizard lounge and i really enjoyed myself! the KJ was very nice and was kind to my nervousness. bartender was great, drink was delish, and he fixed the tv where smash was which was an added bonus. sang my first karaoke song with my giant flounder and it was a great experience!! however - to the guys shouting "f**king mexicans" during my song... marc anthony was born in new york and he's puerto rican. jokes aside, not all hispanics/latinx are mexican. and there's no problem with mexicans, the problem is people with attitudes like you. but i'll bet you'll get drunk on cinco de mayo right?" thanks for the awesome time and awesome crowd aside from those poops, LL." that was my original facebook review from last night after i left my friend's birthday party. today, i received a private message on facebook from the owner of lizard lounge asking me to take this review down and rewrite it because "he was there and heard no such thing." i was there too and even i didn't hear what happened - i was told right after i got off the stage. it was a short incident that was such because my boyfriend handled it immediately, thankfully. when i tried to simply communicate with the owner in regards to the small incident and review, i was brushed off with an "ok lol :)" and my replies were diminished in importance. my concerns weren't being met. in short: while the event and the night was wonderful, the owner was completely unprofessional in messaging me privately instead of commenting on the review itself and absolutely disregarded my concerns. while the staff were professional and kind to me last night, the owner's actions and words speaks volumes about this venue. conduct yourself better or lose business. i'll be sure to pass this incident around now. thanks. -- or, ok lol. :) read more

thought it was a cool place.. karate was cool everything was cool.. until me and my girlfriend went to pay our 101$ tab.. i simply asked the bartender who i think was in charge because he was training two other guys why our tab was so expensive .. he said our tab was actually 86$ because he gave us a drink on the house .. i asked him how much each drink was because we only had 6 (3 each) and he got extremely frustrated and started yelling at me telling me he heard me tell him im a bartender 10 times and hes sick of and this is the price so deal with it ... yes im a bartender and yes i did ask if his dirty martinis come from brime juice or real olives and yes i asked him if he can make me a peanut butter and jelly shot but i still dont think i deserved the attitude he gave me ... so i simply told him okay im just asking prices because it seemed like a lot to me i put a 20$ tip on the bar and he told me that i need it more then him and gave it back to me!! so i took my 20$ and left.. ill never be back.. terrible bartenders for ur all male bartenders with customers who tip 20% read more
