    Falafel Wrap
    Vittoria C.

Oh boy, where do I begin - Livi's Pockets is absolutely delightful!! First off, everything at Livi's is fresh! I've walked by many times before they've been officially open and they're always hard at work prepping everything for the day! It's truly so good to know your food is fresh and not something pre-packaged and opened for customers. When I came in, I was told by the owner that the falafel was a must-try, so naturally I had to get their falafel wrap. Let me tell you - it was some of the best falafel I've ever had! If you're a falafel lover or just looking for a great vegetarian option, this wrap is a must-have! Finally, I cannot end this review without commenting on the incredibly kind staff at Livi's! The owner is so so SO sweet - an extra special treat to accompany the food. The rest of the staff is just as kind and works hard to make sure you love their food! They're also very clean and careful while preparing meals. P.S. if you're not a pita wraps type person, you MUST try their sister spot (located just across the hallway), Livi's Burritos!

Little hidden gem in downtown Providence. Always fresh and quick service. Try the homemade chips too!

Very dry, chewy $12 chicken falafel wrap.

I've only been once. I got a chicken falafel wrap. $12 is a lot for a wrap, so I was hoping it would be good. The 2 chicken tenders in my sandwich were burnt black on the ends and dry. The falafel was dry, and crumbly. Both were taken out of containers and both were room temperature. Even though I was hungry, I ate half the sandwich and threw the other half out. Very rare for me to do. I would not order there again unless they made the meat and falafel fresh. For $12, you certainly deserve a good sandwich. I put up a pic. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Tofu & veggie burrito with mango habanero salsa, so spicy and so good!

I had low expectations for Livi's: they're kind of tucked away inside the Arcade, and the store was completely empty except for the one woman working at the counter. But my veggie & tofu burrito was surprisingly amazing! Most places equate "veggie" with peppers and onions--blech! Here, the veggie burrito included a ton of fresh, seasonal ingredients, like sweet potato and tomato. The mango habanero salsa was HOT but really full of flavor! The portion size was large, definitely on par with Chipotle. Over $8 is a bit pricey for a meatless burrito, but I'll definitely come back here when I want a few more options for ingredients than Bagel Gourmet.

In Providence for a conference at the convention center and yelp reviews helped me find Livi's. It was a little difficult to find as it is located inside a building with other shops (mostly clothing) and I entered from the far side of the building where there wasn't signage for Livi's so I walked past it several times before realizing the cafe was inside the building. Glad I didn't give up looking because my falafel wrap was outstanding. It includes 3-4 pieces of freshly fried falafel in a wrap filled with lettuce, cucumbers, tahini and more! The young lady in front of me ordered the hand cut fries which looked amazing. I wasn't super hungry, otherwise I would have ordered the fries for sure. It was a pretty heafty portion of fries right out of the fryer. Maybe next time. My wrap was very filling and only $6.99 plus tax. Very friendly young man at the register who also prepped the wraps and salads in front of you. There was another person who was in charge of the fryer/prep in the back. A fan and would return when back in the area. Fairly close walking distance from the convention center.

Been looking for the best falafel in town I think I found it. The falafel wrap is amazing. Today I photographed an order being prepared of eggplant and and Gyro meat wraps shown. I ordered the falafel on the Greek salad and it was great. I look forward to trying the Gyro next time I order. Owner is extremely nice and friendly.

Wow... warm, fresh Gyro with mouthwatering Beef kafta. This is the perfect place in downtown providence. Open til 6:30 so I never have to rush after work... the service is fast and friendly, they remember and care for their customers like no other place does. I am always happy to walk in and be greeted by them. And the delicious food is just the cherry on top. I will never get tired of this amazing middle eastern food with an American twist I love Livi's pockets... can't wait for next time And for the days I need to be more focused on health... plenty of vegan options

As with love, it's often difficult to find a restaurant with the total package. Sometimes the places that have the tastiest food know that they're hot stuff and don't feel the need to bend over backwards service-wise. Similarly, there are some family owned joints where the staff is just too cute for words, but you worry for them because sadly their food just isn't that great. Livi's is a perfect example of a restaurant that's simultaneously bodacious and charming. Tucked away at one end of the Arcade in downtown Providence, it's the absolute perfect spot for a quick lunch while working or shopping in the area. I ordered the Livi's Pocket, as my theory is that you usually can't go wrong with a place's signature item. I wasn't disappointed: the eggplant, high quality fresh mozzarella, and red peppers all melded together perfectly in my tasty wrap. At the end of our meal the nice lady behind the counter offered us a free sample of their baklava. That's probably the smartest business move they could make because that stuff is so tasty there's no way you won't buy some to go or on your next visit after experiencing it. It was love at first bite for me at Livi's... pay a visit yourself and prepare to fall hard!

The spring weather was pleasant, so we grabbed a table next to the canal and shared the sandwiches. I liked both equally well and was impressed that both the corned beef and pastrami were tender and easy to eat. The sandwiches were nicely dressed, not too little and not too much. They were moist without being sloppy. The cheese was perfectly melted, and the sandwiches were warm and satisfying. The service was fast and friendly. A well-deserved 5-star review for this visit.

After all, when it's cold like this...I have a tendency to find a bakery in the morning and go very carb-heavy with a nice hot mug of brewed tea or coffee. As I walked up, I was immediately awed by the snow covered outdoor patio. It was beautifully covered in a light layer of snow (obviously unused due to the weather) with little birds all fluffed up and perched atop some of the chairs. They sure looked like little caretakers of the area and were a very cute sight! Walking through the door immediately transported me out of the elements into a very warm and comfortable zone filled with the scent of freshly baked bread and pastries and fresh coffee grounds. Both happy and awake banter as well as sleepy groans enveloped the room. You could hear the staff buzzing around moving pastries and firing up fresh brews for those in line. It's pretty awake in here compared to everything else outside. Stepping up to look at the baked options on the front counter, I was greeted by one of the friendliest voices I've heard in a while. She was so cheerful that I couldn't help but wonder if it's the coffee or tea they serve here or the potent pastries lining the display shelves. Well, whatever it is, I definitely want what she had! I settled for a dirty chai and a couple of pastries and sat on one of the high tops beside my little feathery friends staring in from outside. Each sip divine. Each bite absolutely lovely. Even chatted with an older gentleman with the coolest indigenous soft cloth coat beside me. Everyone was friendly. Everyone was kind. They sure are not the usual sleepy and grumpy breakfast spot. The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.
