The selection they carry here is honestly pretty good if you don't want to always shop at consignment stores. Sneaker heads rejoice: the new and improved and incredibly spacious Livestock is here! Sneaker stores are hit and miss. Sometimes they go floor to ceiling and over pile the shoes, to give that feeling of being swallowed up by kicks. This one goes spread out and minimal. Lots of room to breath and relax. And the prices are the same as most other stores, so the customer isn't paying for the layout. There's clothes, Nike, New Balance and ASICS and other brands. From limited editions to some mainstreams, there is a good selection of sneakers without being over done. Service was friendly. Warning: DO NOT ORDER ONLINE This company is a scam, any time you order online they wait a long time, tell you the "size is not in stock" (despite the website saying it was in stock when you ordered)... then they stop replying to you. Even if you ask for another size, they ignore you. Then after a week you ask for a refund and still get no response. It's now been 2 weeks and I've had to call my credit card company to initiate an investigation. I'm sure they tell themselves a bunch of lies and excuses but they are completely immoral and should not be operating an ecommerce site if they have no intention of full-filling orders or responding to customers. I hit up Livestock with Wendy H today. This place is one of those NYC / LA style places. All shoes are neatly displayed. An array of high end, high designed, highly unique Nikes, Adidas, Vans, LiveStock, and Alife. They also have those 'two' racks of clothes with about 10 items neatly spaced on each. The sneaks are regular priced ranging from 80-200. I bought myself a pair of Alife's today, and they are so comfy and slick. Staff was great, that hip urban scene, and they gave us tickets to an upcoming party when we made our purchase. I am not a part of this scene, but I am down with it, in my new comfy shoes. Two words; not down. Livestock is another in a long line of boutique sneaker stores. The prices are exactly what you would expect to pay in a boutique store of any kind but the fundamental problem is that sneakers aren't worth a $200 price tag. They never have been. It's like paying $60,000 for a Civic. Sure it's probably got a good stereo and some nitrous under the hood but you're still just driving a crappy little four banger. This might be the only store in Toronto that I have ever felt old upon walking in which is hilarious because the guys that work there are about my age. I learned how to pull my pants up though so I guess that makes me an outcast. It's true that the small amount of clothing they carry is hard to come by in Toronto but it seems like the only size they carry is large and extra large which is strange because the vast majority of the kids I see shopping there couldn't fit into a large if they invited three of their friends inside their shirt to help fill it out. You would do better to just buy it online. You'll wait just as long for the shipping and it will at least be in your size when it gets there. If you think Dunks are the height of fashion or haven't figured out that the only good thing to come out of the 80s was the end of the decade then this might be the place for you. The location is in a basement of a building and they need to really renovate this location as it really lacks the feel of a boutique sneaker store. I've always have to approach an employee to help me get my online orders from the back even though the store would be empty. I've been a long time fan of livestock because they've always offered a decent collection of shoes, most of which are modestly priced, however, the clothing that they offer is quite the opposite. As one of the few Toronto retailers (and one of the few Canadian retailers) of legitimate Billionaire Boys Club/Ice Cream gear as well as clothing from The Hundreds, high price tags can be expected. Sadly, the prices of the BBC and Ice Cream items are relatively the same as the would be on the actual website, as for The Hundreds articles of clothing, I really dont know. What I do know however is that its actually cheaper to order some of the shoes they offer from the manufacturer/brand website. For example, livestock offers a limited selection of shoes from The Hundreds (in bad colourways I might add) for approx $90-$120 but you can order the same shoes (and have more selection) from the actual TH online store and pay maybe a max of around $85 including canadian shipping costs. Livestock isn't a bad shoe retailer, its stock is quite alright but they need to step it up in terms of pricing, bringing in better colourways, and diversifying their stock. Many of the offered shoes can be found at nike and foot locker retailers...at cheaper prices! read more

I ordered a pair of sneakers through them literally 1 minute after they were released- they processed my payment and gave me directions for in store pickup, then a week later I got an email saying that they never actually had the shoes that I had paid for and cancelled my order. Absolutely ridiculous for them to release them and take money for shoes they never had in the first place. So disappointed that I won't have a chance to get these limited run shoes at all now- if I had known they never had them I would have spent my time waiting in the queue on another site that could actually deliver on their advertised product. Oh Livestock - how much money have you cost me over the years? My addiction is sneakers and you've been my dealer for years. Livestock is a premium sneaker shop/boutique that started out in Vancouver. 'Livestock' is a play on words on 'deadstock' -- primarily used in sneakerhead circles to denote 'unworn' or 'brand new in box'. It has nothing to do with farm animals. Livestock eventually ran headlong into Goodfoot, their Toronto counterpart, when they both opened up locations in the each others 'hood. I was in the prime of my sneaker habit during the turf wars - like any drug dealer war, the shit got better and for cheaper. But I usually backed my local shop against the invading forces of the Toronto sneaker scene - Livestock guys were much nicer and they had the better products... and frankly, FUCK TORONTO. Eventually, Goodfoot folded completely (as with many sneaker shops during the massive die out after the financial crisis first hit). Now, Livestock is the big dog in Canada with two locations in Vancouver and locations in Toronto (I believe the Calgary location shut down). The inventory is the same as the Vancouver store - offerings from Vans, New Balance, Puma, Adidas, etc. and smaller brands like Clae, Alife, Pointer, etc. But the star attraction is their Tier Zero and Quickstrikes Nike releases and they have a Jordan account. They also bring in some pretty damned rare collaborations and exclusives. And they sell the accessories to match your kicks from brands like G-Shock, Hundreds, Acapulco Gold, BBC, etc. I gave both locations in Vancouver '5 stars' (i.e. http://www.yelp.com/biz/livestock-vancouver) -- the staff is nice, especially the older staff to regulars (a.k.a. whales) like me. I really can't give Toronto Livestock a perfect rating. The staff is pleasant enough - but the crew in Vancouver seem to live and breathe the scene whereas the Toronto staff seem more aloof. Sold me a used and broken bottle of Jason Mark shoe spray and when I went in to get it replaced, they not only lied to me (said the bottle is only supposed to last for 4 sprays) but called me a liar and said you could've bought it anywhere or probably did something to cause it to break. After e-mailing Livestock to inquire about the status of my order I received a response stating my order had been canceled due to lack of stock and a refund forthcoming. This occurred during the 5 days of boxing day sales and I did not receive the cancellation until the last day of the sales and refund after the sale was over. I voiced this concern to them 3 business days ago and have still not heard back. Would not recommend dealing with this store to anyone until they can improve their customer experience. They carry some exclusive kicks, but they are usually overpriced. They also carry alot of shoes that you can find on queen st (footlocker, get outside) for cheaper. You can find some american street brands like the hundreds, MHI, and HUF Service is okay, the owner's are friendly but the other associates can be snobby. Don't order shoes here. I've ordered from them online putting a note at checkout to send me a new stock of the item. So I trusted them and waited for a couple of days for my shipment arrive. To my surprise, when I got the item, they sent me shoes that had detached tags/labels and damaged box!!! When I checked with them why was the shoes sent with this condition, they told me that the shoes were used for marketing and photoshoot for their website. I really had to get an answer from them, unfortunately they cannot give out any clear responses to me on why this was the case. So basically I've ordered a brandnew shoes from LIVESTOCK CANADA (deadstock.ca) which was intendedly used for marketing, and at the customer's expense? RIDICULOUS! This place is an absolute joke. I "ordered" some shoes and after 3 days later, they email me saying the order was cancelled because there was not "enough stock to fulfill my order". The funny thing about this was that my friend and I ordered the same shoes and same size but I ordered first. My order number was 81684 and my friend's was 81690. But my friend was able to get the shoes but not me? Now don't get me wrong, I'm not jealous that he has got a pair and I don't but it is the fact that I emailed them to see what was up and the representative named Brett F said that they "must adhere to a certain level of fairness by fulfilling orders in the order that they were placed". Now that's absolute bullsh*t because I don't know about you guys but I think 81684 comes before 81690.
