We brought photos of the room, the rug, etc...and they were so helpful in choosing a fabric that brightened up the room! Our second recent project was an 1800's Victorian Corner Chair that was in the attic for years. I emailed Barry photos and he emailed right back with suggestions (to not refinish the wood as to keep the original patina) and a quote. We brought in the chair and Toni brought out various samples to choose from. The orignial silk was a teal/blue and she assisted us in finding a beautiful fabric. The chair was polished and looks just gorgeous. This family has the knowledge, the eye and the professionalism you need! And they are very responsive and super friendly. After showing him pictures of our living room and explaining what we seemed to like, David showed me about 10-12 rugs and was very helpful explaining the differences between the styles/patterns, manufacture and quality, as well as appropriate sizing. With his guidance, I boiled it down to four and arranged to have them delivered to the house so we could see what they looked like with our furniture & colors (btw, I highly recommend doing this). My wife and I were so blown away, by how the rugs transformed the room, that we decided to buy one for our dining room as well. Both are hand-woven, tribal patterns from Afghanistan. Since then, I've taken four older rugs in for cleaning and one fringe repair....they look great! David and his team are exceptional at what they do. I understand you sign a waiver that states they can't guarantee spots will be removed but in my case they removed the dye from the rug, briefly mentioned it to me when I picked up my rug, never showed me what happened, and still charged me for the full cleaning despite damaging my rug. It seems like whoever was doing the cleaning didn't have enough expertise to know how to treat or clean my rug and irreparably damaged it. The fact that I was still charged the full amount for the cleaning felt disingenuous. They clearly knew they had damaged the rug as they mentioned it to me upon pick up. Not showing me the area affected when I was there felt like they were trying to hide their mistake. Be very cautious when you bring rugs here to be cleaned.

The space was cozy and from the moment we walked in Steysy made us feel right at home. The workshop was hands on activities and allowed for us to express ourself artistically. We were able to craft our own candles with our selected scent. The collaboration with Flower and Vibe was top notch. It added an extra layer of creativity and working closely with your loved one to create a flower arrangement. The flower arrangement was the perfect touch to go with our candles. The cost of the workshop was $180 for both so I'm assuming it's $90/ pp. It's a bit costly, but for the experience it was worth it.

She guided my group and I through each step of the candle making process and was so clear, easy to follow and informative! She has a background in education and as a fellow educator, she really broke candle making all the way down and even the chemistry behind it! There are many oils to choose from, and you can even mix a few so long as the combination is roughly 30 grams. You also get to choose whatever jar you like. Lucky for me, there was one chrome jar left on the shelf so I was able to grab that one to use! There was also refreshments, wine, and light snacks served during the workshop which was a great addition with the ticket purchase. Now, this is a newer black owned business and women owed business, so I'm happy to support! The shop itself is very quaint, but has a lot of items for purchase, like other candles, perfumes, jewelry, and scents. It's located in the Speedway in Brookline which has a small lot beside it, but there's street parking if you are lucky or a Community Center parking lot a couple minutes away to park at. Apparently, the owner also does soap making classes which sounds very interesting. I'm already thinking of coming back again sometime in the spring with some more friends! Please go! You won't be disappointed!!
