    Carrot cake martini

to begin, the hostess was such a sweet soul.she was a great 1st impression of a rest experience.our waitress, Maria, was a delight. she made excellent drinks and answered all of our questions. I ordered to Pink Flamingo drink, salmon croquette appetize, and the braised beef short rib. My dad ordered crab topped grouper. His wife ordered the carrot cake martini, and the seafood risotto I look forward to experiencing new rest while visiting the area- this was hands-down the better dinner out I have ever had. Well done chef, and what a beautiful little gem this place is. I will return!

This restaurant was amazing! I booked reservations for my fiancés birthday dinner and we had the best food and drinks. The short rib was literally cooked perfect and the lamb chops had so much flavor. The cocktails were very well made. Next time we are in town we are coming back. This is a must go to place!

This is a great place to eat, they have a nice variety of items including a nice filet mignon, which I totally loved. The atmosphere there is really good as is the service. Our waitress was very attentive not just serving then going away and not checking back. It is in a plaza but the place is A1 in everything. Try it and enjoy

First of all I would give this place a 10 if I could. I'm traveling for work and came across this place on google reviews for the best place to eat in Ocala, FL. I've dined here for two nights straight because they are providing love on a plate. I have one more night and will be back tomorrow. Service is excellent and they offer a variety of cocktails. My hat off to the chef for curating the perfect menu. So far the filet and pecan crusted salmon have been absolutely brilliant! I'm looking forward to dining with you every time I'm in the area!

On a Saturday night, with one of the twins in tow, we decided to have dinner at Live Fire Chefs (on Pine next door to the police station). We discussed it back and forth and finally decided to have sandwiches/burgers instead of entrees in order to leave room for dessert. We were seated right away and got our drink order in and our food order in without much delay. The place was fairly busy, but the waitstaff seemed to have everything under control. A classic ruben with fries, a steakhouse burger with fries, and a Bacon Lettuce Tomato & Avocado sandwich with fries came out very fast and were exactly what we wanted. Great taste, cooked to order and all fresh ingredients. Then dessert! Oh my! These were all so very good! Super moist, not too rich, and oh so savory! Such a wonderful dining experience!

Surf & Turf was awesome and that steak had you wanting to order another plate!

What wasn't Amazing, heard about this New hidden gem in Ocala, had to go eat for myself and really see what all the hype was about! Can truly say this, everything from being seated to drinks, appetizers and the main course and of course desert was On Point! Enough said look at the pictures and you will see! Tip my hat off to the whole team, that's where the magic happens, when they all come together they make you feel like you're at a family home eating, when everyone gives you that special attention! Keep doing what you started and this place will have a large following! Bon appétit! I forgot to take pictures of the deserts, we had chocolate cake and the crème brûlée they both didn't last long enough to take a picture because they were so good! Enjoy everyone you won't be disappointed! God Bless

Chicken thigh marsala with mashed potatoes and vegetables .

Quick service, amenable staff. We're traveling so the quick service is key. The food was delicious. I had the chicken thigh Marsala while my husband had a grilled grouper sandwich.

    Cheesesteak

Friends from Eustis, Mt. Dora and Ocala met today for lunch to celebrate a birthday at Live Fire Chefs in Ocala. This was my third visit and it was once again. "exceptional". The Philly cheesesteak, tuna nachos, grilled cheese and grilled salmon were totally wonderful (again). And our server Angel was personable, efficient and a total delight. This place is a hidden treasure in Ocala and it is on our list of places to try again.

Anyone know what the dress code is? Seems casual, but their prices are more of an upscale location?

It's Casual. Really nice chill atmosphere.

Do they have a wine menu? If so can they post it to their website?

We visited for the first time yesterday and it's like a wonderland of Italian imported bakery items, olive oils, pasta and so much more! It was Italy transported to this delicatessen! Maria made our Italian paninis and, by far, they were the best we've ever had: made on fresh focaccia and absolutely out of this world Italian meats and pesto. We also had the homemade potato salad and it was also the best we've had and my almond cake (part custard, part cake) was heavenly! I am wanting to try their hot dishes next: lasagna, chicken parmigiana and more. My own Nonna was resurrected with this food. We were also helped by Rosini and Maria shared with me that her daughter Rosaria also is part owner. I would highly recommend anyone living in this region to take the drive here. It IS an Italian Wonderland of Foods. It's got a couple of tables so take-out is an option but we ate in. What a joy this deli was for us. Maria cooks with both love AND only the best ingredients. And you can 100% tell with the passion for food that she exudes when you talk to her. This, by far, has been my favorite experience with Italian fare since I moved from Miami to Citrus County in 2016. Yes, it's worth the hour drive for me. For sure and for certain... This is a must for anyone having a passion for Italian food: fresh, delicious and so very flavorful. Blessings to you, Maria and crew, for bringing us culinary joy yesterday with many more to come.

We made a reservation for 3 PM but when we arrived, it didn't look like a reservation was needed since there were a few empty tables. Our server presented us their menu, with a Valentine's Day special menu insert. We already checked out their menu online so we pretty much knew what we wanted to order. We started with the Calamari Fritto ($17). Reading how their Maiale Osso Buco ($32) is their standout menu item, that's what I ordered. My wife was going to order off the regular menu but pivoted to the Ravioli di Aragosta ($35) upon seeing the special menu. We were served freshly baked rolls topped with toasted garlic and accompanied by an olive oil dipping sauce. That was yummy. The calamari was well prepared, flavorful, tender and not rubbery. My wife liked her ravioli, commenting how the pasta was perfectly cooked. It was accompanied by 5 pieces of large shrimp. My dish lived up to the billing as their best dish! One of the wait staff even commented how it's the best dish on the menu. Tender and juicy meat accompanied by creamy, well seasoned risotto. The portions were also quite generous that I had to take some leftovers home. Oh yeah, like any good restaurant, the wait staff puts your leftovers in a container instead of diners having to do so themselves. Always appreciated! Service was on point and the ambience was equally nice...although located along Silver Springs Blvd/Hwy 40, traffic noise can be heard inside. Dinner for 2 came out to just under $120 with tip. We just had water with our meals. My wife thought the bread was fresh but thought the roast pork was just OK. The sandwich paired well with the honey mustard but not so much with the mojo au jus. My dish started out good, with my first taste of the roast pork being good and flavorful then just went meh after that. The sweet plantains are always good for me. Ambience was cool and upbeat. Portions were generous and it had decent value...but we thought the flavors of the roast pork were muted and fell well short of the pernil flavor we've come accustomed to.
