Backstory - We have a tankless water heater and have had issues with it for the last several years. If we used the hot water, once we turn it off, we wouldn't have hot water for hours. Not HVAC inclined, we had no idea what the issue was. We had it looked at and serviced by two other companies and just lived with it, through frustration, until enough was enough and we had to make a tough decision. We lived with the rarely working water heater for over a year until it was hardly functioning. At this point, we had to make a move, and was about to purchase a new tankless water heater, but through a recommendation, decided to call Albuquerque Repair Service Heating and Plumbing. Experience/Service/Quotes with other companies: 1. We had one company service the tankless water heater, and for a month it would work sporadically, but then it would fail again. This continued for about 2 years, having them service it, until we finally thought about replacing it. 2. Wagner Mechanical - Around March 2018, we had a Wagner mechanical tech come to our home (scheduled appointment), they spent some time "diagnosing" the tankless heater, which we paid for. After their "diagnosing", they said it needed to be replaced and a new tankless water heater with installation was over $6,000.00!!!!! We have an emailed estimate which I am going to post on their page. Considering a quality, new tankless water heater can be purchased for an average of $1,200.00, they wanted to charge more than $4,800 just for the install!!!!! Our experience with Albuquerque Repair Service Heating & Plumbing: We heard of the company through a friend that had nothing but praise for them. We called and scheduled an appointment. The owner, John, and a coworker showed up on time. He was polite, friendly, and they went right to work while we were in the house. We told him to see what's wrong and if it's serviceable, to service it. At the beginning of their time, they came in to turn the hot water on, which subsequently went on and off for the approx. hour they were here. After about an hour of work, the owner knocked on the garage door (didn't just open it up and come inside....very considerate) and told us he was finished. End Result and Cost The owner, John, told us that the issue was the sensors, and that there are 6 of them. He told us the prior company only cleaned the two front sensors, that the 4 sensors in the back, which could only be gotten to by almost taking the tankless water heater apart, were never serviced. The cost of an hour of labor was $115. That was it!!!! Final thoughts: I can't even begin to say how elated we, and our pockets are, for the work John did. I'll be updating this in a month or so based on how the tankless water heater performs. Another reviewer made mention of them turning their truck around in someone's driveway, so I think perhaps they should just use the driveway of their customer to turn their truck around. Other than that, for what we hired the company for.... Their work was amazing. They arrived on time. They were professional. They did what others couldn't. I couldn't be happier! Based on my experience, I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you!!!!

It continued to stay broken and Francine put me on the schedule for the next day at 10am but would call to confirm with me that day. Francine was extremely rude over the phone after I missed a call (called back 40 mins later and she didn't answer) and she basically blamed me (even though someone was tentative for 10am) and wouldn't send anyone out to fix my ac unit. I was told to find another company! The level of understanding and complete disregard for human empathy is disgusting. Very unprofessional.

The technician called ahead as promised and arrived within the timeframe he provided. He quickly reviewed our air conditioning system, thoroughly troubleshot the issue, and before long the A/C was roaring back to life. What impressed us most was his exceptional troubleshooting ability. Rather than simply replacing parts, he carefully diagnosed the problem, explained what he was doing, and efficiently restored the system to proper operation. We greatly appreciated his professionalism, punctuality, technical expertise, and courteous service. Based on this experience, we would not hesitate to recommend TLC Plumbing to others.

Needed someone to redo the washer faucet/drain box. Their worker showed up alone and got to work,…read morebut within the next 2 hours, he managed to drop a torch and burned the top of a *brand new* dryer - he put in a plastic valve box, but it's not flush to the wall and the frame of the valve box doesn't fit, (he tried to "glue" the frame on with drywall spackling??) - he left a pile of sheetrock dust and trash inside the garage - he was supposed to spackle and texture the sheetrock he cut out, and didn't - *AND* he was in such a hurry to leave the "mess" that he didn't even bother to turn the *WATER MAIN* back on??!! And - as it turns out - it's just as well that he left the water main turned off, because as soon as I got the water turned back on - *ONE OF THE WASHER CONNECTIONS IMMEDIATELY STARTED TO LEAK*!!! And - as if all that wasn't enough - when I went out to turn the water main back on - the plumber had somehow managed to turn the cutoff valve so far the wrong direction, that he'd managed to force the brass blocking tab *PAST* the brass block!?!? (I don't even know how you do that!?) I had to use 2 wrenches and a breaker bar to turn the valve back on!! Needless to say - this was NOT a good experience. I would *NOT* recommend these guys - and I will *NOT* be using them again. (I'm probably going to have to have another reputable plumber out here to make sure this is done right!?) The plumbing work can be fixed - but burning the top of a *brand new* $700 dryer is outrageous and spectacularly careless.....(he actually burned the dust cover that was *over* the dryer first - and could have started a full-blown fire!!) Don't use - find someone else.....(I didn't see any mention of being "licensed" or "bonded", so - you get what you pay for....)

Marcos did a service to my kitchen sink- super nice guy. Will use again for future plumbing issues…read more Thanks!
