There is not enough good things that I can say about this store and it's owner, Dewey. In December…read more2025, I placed an order for Chamere that my wife wanted after seeing Emily in Paris. It was placed thru accelpay that wine businesses use to expand their business. My order was fulfilled thru Mondo Vino, and it arrived promptly. Between the cost of the product and the shipping, my total was over $50. Upon arrival, we opened 2 cans. The remainder sat in the refrigerator. My wife recently decided to have one, but being a stickler for best buy or expiration dates, she said that she thought this was out of date based on the codes on the can bottom. I copied the data and put it into a database to find that this was manufactured in March, 2024, 21 months before it was shipped to me. I was really mad, so I sent an email to Mondo Vino to complain even though another 10 months had gone by since I received it. Dewey answered my email within 5 minutes, and said that he had actually ordered it from his supplier around the same time as my order, and he wanted to know what to do to make it right. I replied that having owned a business where customer service was everything, that I did not want anything, because his customer service was so good. He asked if he could send me replacement cans, and I said it was not necessary. He then asked if I wanted a refund. I said only if he would be made whole from his supplier. He said that he did not know if he would be made whole, but told me to call with a credit card number for a full refund. Ironically while this was going on, one of my credit cards had been compromised, so I was not interested in giving a number over the phone as I rarely even use the physical card and prefer ApplePay for safety. This was no reflection on him. I again said nothing had to be done as I was satisfied, but that if he still insisted to do anything, that to cost him less out of pocket, to ship me a bottle of white wine. Today, by Fedex, I received 2 bottles of white wine. In this day and time, getting good customer service is really an exception, and no longer the rule. Dewey is definitely a rare exception, and the kind of business people should support.
As an aside, I asked AI when the Chamere came out originally in the US, and it said, June, 2024. Distributors would have gotten their first supply between February and April 2024, which coincides with the date code on my cans. That confirms that the distributor was shipping old merchandise to their dealers.
THANK YOU DEWEY!!!
