I spent 260 euro for repair that lasted 12 days. I picked my ebike from repair on 10th November. I had spokes installed in front wheel, rear wheel rebuild and ensure brake discs are screwed properly. It's now 22nd November and my rear brake disc just became completely loose. On 22 Aug, after shop replaced my brake pads, I came back to the shop right away to tell that the brakes do not feel right and the young lad completely brushed me off. I believe that initial improper repair of the breaks is what's caused the issues, not the quality of the parts. Subsequently I had to leave the bike for another repair. There are other issue with most recent repair: they failed to fasten cable harness back and failed to mention that they chose wider rim for rear wheel than original, effectively forcing me into replacing tires as well. I'm still going to replace tyres, as I believe that I had to rebuild my rear wheel due to too wide tyre installed on the rear wheel. I asked the shop to "Check if bigger tyre would work" according to wording on my receipt. Shop has chosen the tires that started rubbing the rear fork and destroyed my rear rim. I didn't ask for specific tire model. I did ask for wider tires. I didn't think I'll need to add "wider tires that wont destroy my bike". Why would I trust you guys to do anything in my bike, if you install parts that are definitely not fit for purpose. You called me back after rebuilding the rim to tell me that the tyre is too wide. Why you didn't tell me that when you originally installed the tyre and I asked that question? Very unsatisfied with shoddy workmanship in the shop. read more

Always busy, this small bike shop packs some serious service. With a large range of bikes (new and second hand), accessories, some clothes and a workshop; it generally always has what you need. However, on the occasions that it comes up short, they are more that willing to order in any additional items. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and, from what I've seen, will always go out of their way to help. The workshop is superb with fast and reliable service charged at a reasonable price. I've used them allot and have never had any complaints. Well worth your consideration for all bike related matters. read more

This is by far the best bike shop ive ever been in. I had planned to find one of the big sports shops to get my niece's a bike but on the way into town i seen this place. After walking in I could see they were floor to ceiling stocked with bikes. The place was a buzz with people dropping off bikes for repair and other shoppers. The man behind the counter was quick to let me know he would be right there and as promised he was not long. I had no clue what I was going to get the kids but he was very helpful with suggestions. There was plenty too look at and I found the perfect bikes for them. After I bought the kids bikes Ken told me about the bike to work scheme and I could not help myself from taking a look. Its been a long time since I had a bike but I was given a very good walk through what was available. This family bike shop has been there for years and the vibe is very comfortable as either Ken himself or his wife or his Mum & Dad are always there. There were quiet a few people picking up there bikes after repair and it seems they have a couple of guys always working flat out to have the repairs ready quickly. Now im looking forward to picking up my new bike too. I feel I got a great deal and I think the customer service is second to none. And ive seen the after sales customer service while I was there and its a refreshing change from big shops personality where its hard to get the same person twice. They can offer much more than any bike shop ive been to in the past. Its hard to beat generations of expertise and care that you you will get here. Now I cant wait for some good weather!! read more

It's been awhile since my last review. As I'm quite a regular customer or at least visiting the place to check on prices and services they do, I can provide more in-depth review. First of all want to give a shout out to Mr. Ken. he's the main man there. Ken is a nice salesman and shall look after you nicely. In case he's not in there, boys from workshop will provide really good service as well. I was looking to by a bicycle and since my wanted model's price was fixed by manufacturer, I was looking who could give me the best deal in town. Little Sports gave me an average, maybe less than an average deal. So I kept looking. Biggest inconvenience for me was that they offer only first free service after six weeks. This is maybe acceptable for a bicycles for €100-200, but not for more serious ones, that would require a lot more tinkering. Few other bike shops in Dublin offered same or better discounts but they provide a two year free servicing! Two years. I must tell you, it's very important. At the end, big minus to Mr. Ken goes for trying to convince me, that his one free after six weeks service is better than others' two free years service. He kept telling me that they cover all expenses if needed for parts in those first six weeks. But wait, I said, brand new bicycle is already covered by manufacture's (at least) one year warranty. And what could go dramatically wrong in six weeks anyway? That felt like cheap trick. Despite all that I'm and will be coming here for repairs and perhaps future bike purchases. read more

Yesterday (or the day before) I just so happened to berate the powers that be at City Cycles in Fairview for having such a shit bike shop. Lo and behold, a new factoid has come to light: when you leave your bicycle into City Cycles to be repaired or whatever, they leave it outside when they're finished until you collect it! Locked up, obviously, they're not that stupid. But only just. If one were to leave a bicycle in, one might not bother to remove easily stolen items like lights, pump, water bottle, on board computer, as one would more than likely be under the assumption that the bike would be safe as houses in the shop (I certainly would be). Not outside waiting for some scrout to tea-leaf all your gear. So, nix to Shitty Cycles, don't give them your custom. I found this out today when I picking up a bicycle today from Little Sport (the wheel had needed truing). There was another chap in there chatting to the staff, and he got to telling me about the sins of City Cycles. As to Little Sport (the company that this review is meant to be actually about): no complaints. Friendly service, they had the bike ready when they said they would, reasonable charge. You'd be hard pressed to find better. read more

Bought my bike here through the Bike to Work scheme. They were very helpful, even though they were quite busy at the time. The bike I was looking to see was not available in the frame size I needed, but they had an boxed one in that size. They asked if I could wait for 5 mins, then in the workshop they began to put it together for me to take for a test ride. Did up a quote for the bike and the extras there and then. Once I gave them the cheque from my manager, they took my phone number. 3 days later I collected it. They said to bring it back after 6 weeks or so for a free service, which I did. Very happy with the service, and with the bike. read more

I do NOT recomend this shop even to my worst enemy. I'm customer to different bike shops for years and found that Little sports shop is the WORST place to do repairs. I have purchased of them second hand bike what they sold me with gear switching fault. Asked them to fix it 3 times. After 2nd time got nearly in car accident because gear switch on the back broke in the middle of the road while I was cycling. Apparently mechanics doesn't know how to align it correctly with the other bike mechanisms. Charged me over the roof for all part replacents and fixing. 3rd time problem came back and chain completely fell off and gear switcher is broken again. This is only one problem I had with this little sports shop. Other problems I encountered was that while I asked to repair my other bike mechanics desired to take off and change better parts for worst. I had to press them on to put everything back as it was. Also when I had problem with breaks and needed to be fixed only this issue mechanics started to do adjustments on them own and I ended up having problems with brand new chain what broke in the middle of the cycle. Never to mention that I was asked to pay for the adjustments I have never asked them to do. I have encountered so much problems after little sports shop fixing my bikes that I will never come back to this place again and I Do NOT recommend to anyone else. Take note this bike shop... They came begging me to come work for them while I'd a good job... I left my job and took on this bike shop as head mechanic.. I left a great opportunity in my other work place.. I took 2 wks holiday and I got a phone call say my job is gone.. they sacked me because I spoke my mind ..because they put so much pressure on work shop.. iv lost everything because off these..it's just me and my two kids .. and thanks to yous I have nothing now.. these owners have no idea what they have done to me and my family... read more

I have been using Little sports for many years. Adam Ken and Norma are friendly knowledgeable to everyone who comes through the door no mater what the crises :). Can't say enough about the them all, you'll have to experience it for yourself. Having got only 1 puncture in past 6 years living in South side and on moving over to north side getting 6 punctures in 6 mts.. But thats for another rant. Found little sport bike shop as a result and this morning monday at just before 9am notices shop open when passing nursing a slow puncture with a work appointment for 10.30am.Explained my difficulty to the 3 staff there...and what seemed in a jiffy bike tyres replaced and a quick full check over.Service standard i never would expect from 3 young gents.Full marks little sport. All repairs seem good and good bikes on offer. However, the only focus seems to be on pushing sales and making money for as much repairs as possible, not on customer needs. The follow up on bikes I've bought there has been poor, they took no responsibility for inherent defaults in the bike like shoddy gears and tires. Certainly will not be going back. read more

I have always passed this bike shop on the bus home and have recently become a customer of theirs. I am not an experienced cyclist at all, my bike has been sitting in my garage for the past year then I decided to get if fixed and this place was the most convenient place for me to get to with a broken bike. (Brought it on the Dart with me, then a quick walk from Clontarf road Dart station). I'm so glad I decided to go to these guys. From the moment I entered the shop Ken took one look at the bike and had the guys in the back rushing up front to take it back and fix it. The repair was done there and then and while I waited, after confessing myself as an inexperienced amateur cyclist, Ken the owner was giving me loads of useful tips I needed to give me the confidence to get out there on my two wheels.I was so happy with the customer service and friendly staff I decided there and then to get some new mudguards and a basket fitted. The best part of it was the price. I get the impression that most places would spot the clueless cyclist and take advantage by overcharging but these guys did not. New hybrid mudguards, a lovely new basket and (substantial) repairs all for 50euro. I was very happy and will definitely be going back to these guys for all my biking needs! read more

I've been going here for years and they are very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and fair in terms of cost. They evidently take pride as its a family business which makes the service personal. The only thing i'd say is that if you want to have a same day service on a Saturday be sure to bring it in before 3pm, as otherwise you may not get your bike back until Monday (they close Sun). All in all though it is a terrific shop to have nearby. read more

Got my bike to work here back about a year ago, i was dealing with the owner who was so nice and full of chat when i was looking at the bikes. I had never taken part in the BTW scheme before and was a little wet behind the ears to be honest. Once we had the bike chosen and i had committed to buying it i thought i sensed a change in him. Anyway after adding locks , helmet and all the accessories under the sun, I was to return the next day to complete the paperwork and hand over the cheque from work. When i returned the next day he actually ignored me, when i went to say hello he grunted at me and waved me off to one of his employees! The cheek, so deal closed there is no need to be nice or even civil....Andrew, the employee i waved off to, was so nice and really sound to me, but i couldnt believe the owner was doing this, doesnt say much for the ethos of the business. So if you are going in, block your ears to the old man, its all guff! read more

Little Sports over charged me and it took me to highlight it to them. When they finally admitted this to me (months later) they would only give me a gift voucher in return, they would not give me my money back and were very difficult to deal with. It took a lot of calls and unnecessary stress. I would avoid this shop at all costs as it ended up costing me! read more
