Top class bike shop in the city centre. Pricier than what you'd get out in the suburbs, but they seem to be pitching at a racing clientelle, so maybe that's why. Best thing about Cycleways is that they do repairs - the repair shop is a few doors down from the main store, heading towards Capel Street. Again, it's pricey - but it's also the only place in the city centre that does bike repairs so what can you do? They don't repair on the spot, you'll probably have to come back later that day, at the earliest.

So pleasant to deal with. Helped me out with buggy puncture. I have purchased there before and definitely would again.

They've been super helpful, gave me great advice, helped me out with my bike to work scheme, gave me a free check up to make sure the bike is still good after a few weeks and to top it all off...

From wicking underwear to base layers to shirts and pants to windbreakers to full on parkas, Patagonia can take you naked and outfit you instantly to face the harshest of climates. Their products are extremely well-made and last a long, long time. Which is a good thing, because there's no way in hell I could afford to shop here on a regular basis. Now, this location is an outlet, meaning they sell merchandise from past seasons at a reduced price. The prices are indeed reduced heavily, but the fact that the starting price is so high means the reduced price is still high. I took a look around the store and was dismayed that I couldn't even buy a single item. Even a bra was only reduced to 27 euros. Sad face. If you are a camping nut or just enjoy being outside, this place is worthy of a stop in. Their stuff is really excellent and fun to just look at a wish for, as I do. The main drawback is that, because it is an outlet, you don't have as many options. You're definitely not seeing their full range, which is even more impressive.

Thank goodness for Millets!…read more At the end of our respective ropes in a desperate search for winter boots, my shopping party had an inspired idea to look here for decent waterproof footwear to tackle the snow. Not only was the store mid-sale, but the footwear department upstairs carried stock in size 8! Victory! We agreed a pair of marked down fur-lined snow boots (was €80, now €45) that have the look of life-long reliables. I was fairly impressed with the rest of the shop's offerings -ski suits, down jackets, climbing gear and more. What I wasn't delighted with were the prices on a few of those; a woolly hat whose matching scarf was marked down from €20 to 10 was still itself a massive €20. Strike one, Millets.., but you're still in the game.

Hiking boots are the way forward! Millets do a great stock of hiking boots! and to go with those boots you can get a really wam yet fashionable jacket, one that is vital for going out in this weather. If youreally really brave or just pure mad you could get all sorts of camping gear here to have a real snow advneture. seriously though i would say if you really wanted to camping in the dublin mountains in this weather these guys could kit you out and give you things that woudl make you as comfortable as you would be at home in front of a fire.

Maybe it's because I'm German and we tend to be fairly outdoorsy but I like my raincoat and bags to be 100% waterproof which is not necessarily a bad thing in Dublin. The store stocks most of the gear you will need for camping, hiking and all kinds of other outdoorsy pursuits. I've even brought friends here who just wanted to buy a good quality bag or backpack. Yes, it's not the cheapest brand and the staff can be a wee bit pushy trying to get you to buy things you don't really need but if you want decent outdoor gear, it's this or the Great Outdoors.

I'm okay with this, it wouldn't be any cheaper even if it were and the Great Outdoors ain't so bad. To further Ciara K.'s point there're a few more groups that exclusive wear expensive North Face raincoats. Firstly, filmmakers, I swear if you see yourself being the next Michael Bay go out now, today, and buy a black North Face parka or you'll havve dropped the ball from day one. It's a fireable offence on set and you're likely to be sent home without pay. Well, you're not going to get paid anyway but ... And tourists, not just couples with matching jackets, which is weird but I get, no, whole groups of tourists wearing matching raincoats, usually luminous red or orange ones as well. Whether they're male, female, European, Asian, American, wet or dry it makes no difference, they're just as likely to go out looking like their nations official hill walking squad. Just check it out, I've seen old biddies on history tours doing it, lads on drinking holidays doing it, fans over for the game doing it, teenagers on language exchange doing it ... everyone's doing it! ... XD This shop could be a little more comprehensively stocked, they don't seem to have the full range of North Face clobber and I've found the size range to be limited at times. The staff have obviously been Stateside for sales bootcamp, the result being you'll need bear mace to get them off your back.
