All you need for your outdoors sports or activities... Store is deceivingly big so don't be put off, wonder to their basement level or on up to the first floor and they'll have want your after! Hiking, climbing, camping, kayaking, surfing... You name it! Staff are very friendly and all are very knowledgeable about their areas... And they are also straight up honest, they won't settle for you buying something for the sake of it... They'll ensure its the right product so no, cheap shot selling here... They really care about your comfort and safety so top marks to the staff here!

This is a great shop for anything 'outdoorsy' you might need. They stock big brand names like Lowe Alpine, North Face, Roxy, Quicksilver etc. They do clothing and equipment so if you were going on a surfing trip you could get everything you need from your bikini to your wetsuit to your surfboard and that waxy stuff they use (god knows for what) to put on a surf board. It can be a little pricey, but it's certainly not overpriced. Clothes/equipment for hiking/surfing/kayaking etc is always going to expensive as you're risking your safety a little, so you want the good stuff!

merman! *cough, cough* MERMAN!!

Always enjoyable to visit a Patagonia store. The people who work there are very friendly and really…read morelove the products. There was a summer sale going on with some items up to 30% off. Very nice selection of items and exactly what you would expect of Patagonia.

From wicking underwear to base layers to shirts and pants to windbreakers to full on parkas, Patagonia can take you naked and outfit you instantly to face the harshest of climates. Their products are extremely well-made and last a long, long time. Which is a good thing, because there's no way in hell I could afford to shop here on a regular basis. Now, this location is an outlet, meaning they sell merchandise from past seasons at a reduced price. The prices are indeed reduced heavily, but the fact that the starting price is so high means the reduced price is still high. I took a look around the store and was dismayed that I couldn't even buy a single item. Even a bra was only reduced to 27 euros. Sad face. If you are a camping nut or just enjoy being outside, this place is worthy of a stop in. Their stuff is really excellent and fun to just look at a wish for, as I do. The main drawback is that, because it is an outlet, you don't have as many options. You're definitely not seeing their full range, which is even more impressive.

Ok, I have to admit that I love the North Face. I bought one of their backpacks when I went off to…read moreAustralia and more than once I was the only one whose gear remained dry in their backpacks- Result! Maybe it's because I'm German and we tend to be fairly outdoorsy but I like my raincoat and bags to be 100% waterproof which is not necessarily a bad thing in Dublin. The store stocks most of the gear you will need for camping, hiking and all kinds of other outdoorsy pursuits. I've even brought friends here who just wanted to buy a good quality bag or backpack. Yes, it's not the cheapest brand and the staff can be a wee bit pushy trying to get you to buy things you don't really need but if you want decent outdoor gear, it's this or the Great Outdoors.

The North Face shop is strangely part of the Great Outdoors empire and not competition as it…read moreappears to be. I'm okay with this, it wouldn't be any cheaper even if it were and the Great Outdoors ain't so bad. To further Ciara K.'s point there're a few more groups that exclusive wear expensive North Face raincoats. Firstly, filmmakers, I swear if you see yourself being the next Michael Bay go out now, today, and buy a black North Face parka or you'll havve dropped the ball from day one. It's a fireable offence on set and you're likely to be sent home without pay. Well, you're not going to get paid anyway but ... And tourists, not just couples with matching jackets, which is weird but I get, no, whole groups of tourists wearing matching raincoats, usually luminous red or orange ones as well. Whether they're male, female, European, Asian, American, wet or dry it makes no difference, they're just as likely to go out looking like their nations official hill walking squad. Just check it out, I've seen old biddies on history tours doing it, lads on drinking holidays doing it, fans over for the game doing it, teenagers on language exchange doing it ... everyone's doing it! ... XD This shop could be a little more comprehensively stocked, they don't seem to have the full range of North Face clobber and I've found the size range to be limited at times. The staff have obviously been Stateside for sales bootcamp, the result being you'll need bear mace to get them off your back.
