I never write negative reviews, and will die on the hill of supporting local businesses/people, but this was so disappointing. $65 for three main courses and tea. I get inflation, but this food simply isn't worth the price. Puddles of oil in the sauce, the only flavor being heavy cream and salt, severely undercooked lasagna noodles in one dish, and overcooked fettuccine in the other. Also, remarkably small portion sizes compared to most other places (from what I've seen here in the US) and unappealing presentation. I'm not saying don't eat here - I'm sure that they simply need more time to get their act together, but honestly... If you have more kinks to iron out, don't open up at such high prices. That's just too much to ask for in this economy. Would I love to see more European restaurants around here? Of course, but right now, this just isn't it. The people working here are great. Ok so this place is out in chatsworth little place full of good Italian food. The pizza was good but I do feel the crust was pretty firm even for thin crust. The salad bar was a plus during a pandemic but some of the items like tomatoes were mushy like it was frozen but over ok. I had my dog with me, so we were seated out on the patio. My server was exceptional: friendly, pleasant and professional. I love what they have done with the patio. it's located in back away from street traffic. I ordered the Roman Stones as an appetizer and a small pizza which turned out to be an excellent choice. Ate here twice in their newly opened location. I want to start by saying that I love supporting local businesses and I want downtown Chatsworth to thrive. Maybe I'll go back after a few months to see if things have changed. My first trip to the newly opened Little Rome I ordered a personal pan all meat pizza. (Ordered to go) It was ok taste-wise but nothing special. Smaller than most other personal pan pizzas in the area and definitely more expensive. I'm not so much worried about price, especially with inflation these days, but it was more expensive than Hamilton's and smaller in size. Make it make sense. The second time around I ordered their meatball sub. (Ate in the restaurant) Service this night was not good at all. (There was an event on the patio) Long wait for a table while there were several available on the patio that just needed to be bussed. The meatball sub was terrible. The portion was small. (3 meatballs) and was not hot. Like they had made the sandwich and forgot to bring it out on time. Came with chips - here's where it really stung me. They literally gave me less chips (plain Lays) than what would come in a small bag from a vending machine. I was thoroughly perplexed by this. It was almost comical. My friends eating with me never did get the correct drinks they ordered (just plain Coke) after asking 2 times. Overall, not a good experience at all. We had heard good things about this place from locals in Chatsworth. So, we decided to try it out. We were all pretty disappointed. We were greeted by a sweet little girl around 6 yo. She was literally our hostess with no adult nearby assisting her. Unique way to start but, it was fine. We ordered Coke Zero and they were out. Asked for Diet Coke and they don't carry it. We also ordered cheese sticks for an appetizer and they were out. We settle for cheese bread and it was average at best. Essentially two slices of Texas toasts covered in butter and cheese and sliced in strips. We ordered Chicken Parmesan, Lasagna and a pizza and had the salad bar. The salad bar was the best part. It was good fresh and tasty. The lasagna was clearly heated up and still cool in the middle. It was uniquely layered with the outer edges of the noodles being very stale and crunchy. The sauce was thick but loaded with large crunchy chunks of bell pepper. Unique but, too far of a departure from the classic dish I was expecting. Also, I don't care for bell peppers. I added meatballs (they were reheated, overdone and dry and only got one and it was broken up into chunks. My daughter had the same issue with her Chicken Parmesan as the sauce was loaded with crunchy bell peppers and she's not a fan of them either. She said the chicken itself was good. My wife ordered the "medium" pepperoni and ground beef pizza. She said it was good but, the "rationing of the ground beef pieces were astonishing. There were 12 pencil eraser sized pieces of ground beef very strategically placed. I promise you those pieces did not add up to more than an ounce. Maybe they were about to run out of that too...so there were using it sparingly. Service was overall average. Nothing to note there out of the ordinary. The pre-tip bill was $100. I honestly feel that was about $40 too much and I'm being generous. I don't see us going back. Perhaps it's the only Italian option in town, if so then I can see why the locals appreciate the offerings. We were just expecting far better. read more

As a customer since this restaurant's beginning, I was very disappointed in the quality and price of the food after eating at the re-opened location. My family and I were saddened by the fire that destroyed the previous location's building and eagerly looked forward to the re-opening at the new location in downtown Chatsworth. What a disappointment! The portions were smaller than before, and there were only one size offered which was supposed to be the full size option. It was a half size option at an over full size price. The lasagna and pizza that we ordered were mediocre at best, certainly not the original recipes. I ordered the calzone, which is new to this location, and it was small, lacking in filling with hard edges. Adding on the salad bar, which we have always done in the past, was too expensive of an option. The service was good and we enjoyed the new location's decor and patio area. However, the historic local pictures were missed. I had read other less than stellar reviews of the new location, but we decided to take a chance that the old Little Rome was back. Don't waste your time and money making the same mistake. I hope they can bring it back, this is not it. read more

We came here after dark this past Sunday, after being soaked on a rafting tour in TN, and came to the first food spot we could find. Fortunately we found Little Rome Little Rome has a very nice staff. The waitress came around, sat down at our table and really joked with us while taking our orders. Definitely made it seem as if we were in her home, not a restaurant. The first time I ate here was about 3 years ago when my family and I moved to town. We didn't return until the other night and it reminded me why. First, the service is good and the taste of the food isn't horrible. The portion and prices are ridiculous. Mediocre food at first rate prices. I ordered the dinner portion of the Gladiator for my son and I to split (he's 7). I ended up not having hardly anything to eat and my son is far from a big eater. Also, the carpet is horrific. The one trip salad bar was a joke the tomatoes were rotten and not a lot to choose from. The spinach dip was canned spinach and all watery and bland.
