On my wedding day, she served me soup with dairy in it, despite the fact that she knew full well that both the groom and I had a dairy allergy. Fortunately, at the first bite, I was able to taste that there was something off in the soup and sent one of her staff back to the catering tent to check with her. I was so outraged -- that could have completely ruined my wedding day! Throughout the year I spent working with her to plan the wedding menu, her disregard for instructions on food restrictions was a constant source of frustration and concern, particularly as my sister has a life-threatening allergy to nuts. It seemed that my now-husband and I could never get a draft of the wedding menu without the inclusion of something we had specifically asked her not to serve. In terms of the execution of the dining service at the wedding --or the taste of the food itself--everything was great. However, I found working with Jaime one of the more stressful parts of wedding planning and, as I almost spent my wedding in severe gastric distress because of her, I can't give her more than a two-star rating.

Jessica and Taylor were fantastic to work with. They were so helpful in guiding us when we were ready for each step and no request was too much. We had amazing paella at our reception and our guests were like hungry seagulls it disappeared so fast. I had to see photos of it from guests because I didn't get to see how gorgeous the display was. Also highly recommend the beef tenderloin with chimmichuri sauce, cod with beure blanc sauce, tabbouleh, lemonade as a cold drink station. Really everything we asked for was awesome. We had incredibly friendly and professional catering staff, bartender, and Jessica herself was our day-of person who checked in tactfully throughout the night and even made sure I got a plate of food from my now husband. Rave reviews from all our guests that this was the best wedding food they've ever had. The opposite of rubber chicken and sad banquet food.

Dozens of people at the wedding came up to us and told us that the food was the best wedding food they had ever had. Shawn provided passed appetizers, a stationary appetizer table, and drinks in addition to the main meal, which we did buffet style. The main course included an incredible roasted vegetable lasagna, baked salmon with sorrel aioli, roasted broccolini with red onion, parsley, olive oil and tamari, a kale salad, a light brown rice with toasted pistachios currants, dill, chives and a vinaigrette. We bought our own wine and beer, which Shawn's crew poured for guests. Shawn is also much more affordable than many of the other Island caterers.
