Jaime was the caterer for our wedding....and everything about the food (taste-wise) and service was…read moregreat. However, Jaime was not receptive to instructions regarding food restrictions. On my wedding day, she served me soup with dairy in it, despite the fact that she knew full well that both the groom and I had a dairy allergy. Fortunately, at the first bite, I was able to taste that there was something off in the soup and sent one of her staff back to the catering tent to check with her. I was so outraged -- that could have completely ruined my wedding day! Throughout the year I spent working with her to plan the wedding menu, her disregard for instructions on food restrictions was a constant source of frustration and concern, particularly as my sister has a life-threatening allergy to nuts. It seemed that my now-husband and I could never get a draft of the wedding menu without the inclusion of something we had specifically asked her not to serve. In terms of the execution of the dining service at the wedding --or the taste of the food itself--everything was great. However, I found working with Jaime one of the more stressful parts of wedding planning and, as I almost spent my wedding in severe gastric distress because of her, I can't give her more than a two-star rating.

Dozens of people at the wedding came up to us and told us that the food was the best wedding food they had ever had. Shawn provided passed appetizers, a stationary appetizer table, and drinks in addition to the main meal, which we did buffet style. The main course included an incredible roasted vegetable lasagna, baked salmon with sorrel aioli, roasted broccolini with red onion, parsley, olive oil and tamari, a kale salad, a light brown rice with toasted pistachios currants, dill, chives and a vinaigrette. We bought our own wine and beer, which Shawn's crew poured for guests. Shawn is also much more affordable than many of the other Island caterers. We could not have asked for, or found, a more wonderful caterer.

The seasonal tone to the menu was a very nice touch. We needed tables, linens, utensils and she did not miss a beat. Everything was orchestrated with such ease and she really stepped up to the plate when our head count went from 20-30, with only a couple hours notice. I highly recommend Herring Run, they are professional and provide quality food and service. Thank you for a great event!

Beginning with the constant, responsive communication leading up to the event, to the actual dinner itself (honestly one of the best dinners I've ever had), to his presentation and stories regarding is dishes (you can tell how much passion he has for this), to the great job he did cleaning the entire kitchen before leaving, this was the definition of 5 star service and food. I recommend Gavin to anyone looking to make a special occasion even more special or just looking to enjoy a truly great dinner.

Where to begin?! Is…read morethere a way to give a company ten stars? I contacted several caterers for a small gathering, but one thing let me know this catering company was THE ONE: When I called to get a quote, the owner - on his own accord - physically visited the site to get the lay of the land before I even signed the contract. He stayed in contact with me throughout the ENTIRE process and handled every curve ball with a smile. To boot, the services were reasonably priced. We began with the goal of having a clam bake. Then, I considered the fact some people might be allergic to shell fish. Little Rock allowed me to have a hybrid menu to appease all my guests. They came from far and wide, from Memphis to India to China to Chicago and New York. I knew I had a tough crowd that has eaten at some of the best restaurants across the globe. Our experience with Little Rock was absolutely PERFECT, from my first phone call to the last morsel I put in my mouth. The first course was clam chowder. Really?! The clam chowder was out of this wooooorld!!! Every single guest I spoke with commented on its deliciousness. My guests said the clam bake was also absolutely perfectly delicious and that they were stuffed after the meal because the plate was so full of food. We also got a beef tenderloin option, which melted in your mouth. The BBQ chicken option was stupendous. Peter and his wife brought a family feel to my reception, but their delivery was beyond professional. When I called Peter after the event, he said he enjoyed our work together, met wonderful people throughout the day and that he wished the hubby and me a lifetime of bliss. What an incredibly personal touch. I am dripping with accolades for this amazing company that made my day beyond special. I couldn't have pulled this off without Little Rock. Glowing review!!!!!! Take a bow, Little Rock. Take a bow.

I think the trick in the era of covid is making outside dining at least as compelling as inside dining. That's certainly the case here. Walking to our table among all of the beautiful flowers seemed so dramatic (in a good way). It just added to the overall pleasant experience. And having excellent fare also doesn't hurt... The standout for me was the hangar steak- usually a cut that I avoid like the plague when I see it on the menu. I took a chance and it turned out aces all the way for me- succulent and delicious. My dinner companions all had the lobster bake which they thought was equally tremendous. Throw in some clam chowder as an app and blueberry panna cotta for dessert and you have a Winner in the Woods...

I've been coming here for years. The food is 5/5. Best breakfast sandwich on the island hands down…read more I must visit every time I come to the island. Their baked goods and heartier plates are delicious too. Deducting a star for two things: 1) the pricing when you order online for pickup is much higher than at the store. Talking to the kid behind the counter (literal kid, more on that next) said it's a known problem and "we need to fix that". For example, when you order at the store, a farm fresh egg is $2. Online it's $4.99 for a farm fresh egg. 2) the kids at the counter... this seems new. There are literal children working behind the counter and their skills are profoundly lacking. But anyway, the food is worth it and excellent.
