There were so many adorable details, I wish I had taken more photos. Inside, there's tea available all day, and free breakfast in the mornings. The spa is embedded right in the hotel, and when you're a guest using the amenities is seamless. You can easily get into an exercise class, like Zumba or yoga, or use the pool and the saunas- there's one with hot dry heat and another with steam. When you get up to your hotel room it feels more like you're in some kind of time capsule. They have kind of an exhibit of historical objects from the area. Then the room is kind of effortlessly elegant, in that unique New England-y way- just nice furniture, great materials in the bed sheets and whatnot, and some spiffy flair- like a luxurious tub with a huge tabletop for putting bubble bath, salts, spa essentials, maybe a bottle of wine?, and an outdoor terrace for having a light breakfast in the morning (put some fruit in your mini fridge, from the morning or from a market nearby). I have driven by the Vineyard Harbor Motel 1000,000 and figured I'd give them a call. I'm so glad that I did and they are now in my phone. Excellent. The motel is updated and crisp. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows not so much. The location is right on the water and the rooms are extremely well appointed for the Vineyard at this price point. The layout of the rooms make them very spacious. The rooms are inside a U shaped structure that is invisible from the street. Each room is accessed by a HUGE deck overlooking the ocean. It seems to have its own beach.

We had the pleasure of staying at this most wonderful property owned by Annabelle and Simon Hunton, who were our gracious hosts. The inn is a beautiful well maintained property inside and out. Annabelle, one the owners has a gift for interior design, and she created warm, eclectic and beautifully done rooms throughout. We rented a luxury home for a significant price. We were locked out of our home with my toddler after bedtime because they gave us the incorrect key and not offered so much as an email apology let alone compensation. Further, they had poor communication post-rental and it overall left us quite disappointed. We won't plan to rent from them in the future based on this experience.

We were given great suggestions for things to do as well which we took advantage of on our last day and we're so glad we did. On our last morning we let them know we were leaving early for the airport and they dropped off homemade strawberry scones which were the perfect on the go breakfast for our ferry ride back to Woods Hole. Made a last-minute online inquiry on a Friday afternoon to see if they had "room at the inn" the…read morefollowing day - got a response back within an hour from owner Larry who said he had one room left for us to stay, and knocked off a percentage of the cost since it was a last-minute booking. My husband and I were elated. The owners were wonderful and we had a relaxing stay in their beautiful home. We were greeted by Larry in the morning for breakfast, who prepared some delicious blueberry pancakes for us and we enjoyed great conversation with he and his wife and the rest of the B&B guests. Couldn't have asked for a better stay for our first trip to Martha's Vineyard. We'll be back!
