We had a wonderful stay at Charles and Charles for our annual mother/daughter weekend. Because there were three of us we stayed in the loft 2bd/2bath Edgartown room which was spacious yet cozy. We appreciated the thoughtful details around the room like the warm towel racks, the homemade oatmeal and coconut cookies, the bottle of wine that was left in the fridge (which we most certainly drank!). The property itself was well manicured and beautiful, and the homemade breakfast was to die for. We were given great suggestions for things to do as well which we took advantage of on our last day and we're so glad we did. On our last morning we let them know we were leaving early for the airport and they dropped off homemade strawberry scones which were the perfect on the go breakfast for our ferry ride back to Woods Hole. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! The first B&B I've ever stayed at, this place was incredible. From relaxing in their swing outside to their amazing breakfast this place is the bee's knees. The owners are actually from LA so we connected about that, and they actually took us to the ferry on our last day as we went to Nantucket. A very special place, we also loved borrowing the bikes and riding all over the island. This place is perfect. The only tip I would have though is to bring earplugs because the beds are so comfortable you will hear snoring from your neighbours :) read more

I've been to my fair share of hotels and bnbs in my 25 years on this earth, but to say my stay here was the best Accommodation Ive ever had would be an understatement. Charles's bed and breakfast was nearly perfect in every aspect. It was walking distance to the ferry in vineyard haven, the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, the breakfast was phenomenal and the host was amazingly kind, helpful, and charming. Bikes, beach towels, and beach chairs were available even after we checked out and always free. The rooms had top of the line toiletries and this was the only hotel I've ever been to that had a bidet which I greatly appreciated as someone with GI issues. I would recommend Charles and Charles to the earth and back and only plan on staying here in the future. read more

This place is an absolute gem! My husband and I stayed here based on other glowing reviews. This place did not disappoint! A short walk/drive from the ferry and downtown Vineyard Haven. The b&b is located in a quite neighborhood setting with beautiful gardens and a pool. We were greeted by Charles, who was so friendly and very accommodating! The room was extremely comfortable and clean! The bedding was soft and luxurious, I felt like I was staying an a 5 star hotel! The room had freshly made cookies and wine for us on our arrival. The gourmet breakfast was absolutely amazing! I would also take Charles up on his dinner recommendations as it was some of the best dinner we had during our stay! We had a great holiday get-away to the Vineyard and staying here made it even more relaxing! Originally we had reserved their smallest room in the B&B, but upon arrival we were upgraded to the West Tisbury suite which has a private entrance and is detached from the main building. There was even a bottle of wine in the fridge to enjoy before going out to dinner. The suite had a small patio with a table and chairs, great for coffee in the morning as well as a living room, dining room/ kitchen (stocked with coffee, tea and scones on the first day), large queen bed and tile bath. We found that we had everything we needed to relax! The living room had a TV so that we could watch some football after eating dinner and comfortable couch for lounging. Breakfast is served of course (B&B); but they bring it right to your door! Every morning we were given quiche, fresh fruit, greens, a muffin or scone, juice and coffee. Honestly, the breakfast was more than I thought I was going to get, and I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks to the B&B for making our holiday a great one! We will be back to enjoy the Vineyard in the summer next time. read more

We had an absolutely delightful three night stay in early July. Charles was a great host! He gave us great recommendations for everything we wanted to do on the Vineyard. Breakfasts are included with the stay including fresh made juices. The first breakfast was risotto with a soft poached egg on top with fresh fruit. Then a breakfast flatbread the next morning with fesh fruit. The last morning breakfast included quiche with scones and fresh fruit. Everything was homemade and deliciously awesome. Absolutely amazing. Booked a room at the last minute (cannot believe there was any available - this must be the best kept secret on the island), made the trek from Boston, and after a short walk from the pier at vineyard haven, arrived in a quiet residential area where the B&B is located. The gardens are beautiful, the pool area is impeccably clean and tastefully decorated (as is the rest of the house/rooms). Met Charles as soon as he arrived, and he was so welcoming, gracious, and helpful. Eagerly helped us map out a bike route to Edgartown, set us up with bikes, helmets and even beach towels. There were ice cold bottles of water waiting for us in the mini fridge,and even a plate of homemade cookies (absolutely amazing). One B&B you don't want to miss poolside breakfast at. Charles (one of them, at least) is one of the best chefs I've ever come across. Cannot say enough about this place. Stay here. read more

Charles and Charles was the perfect place to stay for our mom's 60th birthday celebrations in Martha's Vineyard!!! The breakfast each morning was so delicious and the rooms were wonderful. What a great place!! Booked through Hotels.com. Had a great one bedroom suite which was ready at 1 pm. Charles is incredibly gracious. The breakfast by the pool (included) was eggs in a popover, and homemade granola with yogurt. We only stayed one night, and sat by the pool the next afternoon. Charles brought us Klondike bars, and then drove us to the ferry late in the afternoon. There are bikes for use (we didn't partake), and the pool was terrific. We will certainly be back, and you should go, too! read more

We really enjoyed our visit to Martha's Vineyard. Our stay at Charles and Charles made it even better. We felt as though we were at home. Our room was spacious and very clean. The linens/towels were very luxurious and of high quality. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and tasty. The grounds were nicely planted and well manicured. We really enjoyed sitting at poolside relaxing after taking the complimentary bikes out for a ride about town. Charles and Charles is located a few minutes walk from the town center in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Charles was a pleasure to work with. His suggestions for activities and restaurants made our experience even more enjoyable. Nothing like getting the inside scoop from a local!! This is one of the many reasons my wife and I like to stay in B & B's. We will definitely be back for another visit soon. read more
