    BBQ Beef Bowl
    David C.

I had a bit of time to burn at the airport before my flight so decided to grab some food to eat. The options at IAH are not very impressive so decided to just stop in to Little Purse. Overall, the service was great, the food was mediocre, and there was a good amount of seating with plenty of charging ports at the bar. Food came out in about 10-15 minutes so if you're in a crunch, Little Purse is not bad. The server was very attentive and made sure my water was full the entire time I was there. He was also very personable. The miso soup was actually pretty decent with a good amount of tofu and good level of saltiness. The BBQ beef bowl was disappointing. Kimchi was decent but the rice was old and clumpy and the beef itself was marinated with what tasted like canned bean sauce. The prices were on the higher side for what was provided but honestly not that bad.

Do not eat here. For the love of god please take my word for it. The broth is literally hot water with soy sauce. The place was cute and staff were friendly but that's it. Worst food I've ever eaten.

Marinated Beef Rice Bowl; charging station at table-extremely slow charging

Typical airport food-just ok and overpriced. I had the Marinated Beef Rice Bowl...Meh. Server was attentive. I found a quiet corner where I partially charged both my iPhone and my kindle. (Really slow charge).

Three little Egg Rolls and Blue Cheese Dressing?

We had flown from Miami to IAH. Here we were supposed to have a two-hour layover but because of weather elsewhere affected flights, we only had 45 minutes. Our inbound gate was only two gates from our outbound gate. We quickly looked up a map of the airport and were heading to a Panda Express when we saw Little Purse. A quick glance at the menu and we spoke to a server. The important question was that we had exactly 25 minutes until boarding (if it started on time). The server told us that they could get us in and out on time and to have a seat. We ordered Tonkatsu Ramen, Egg Rolls, a Diet Coke and a glass of water. She did her job and tried to upsell me to a small bottle of water that I could take onto the plane but I passed on that. The drinks came first, then the Ramen and finally the Egg Rolls. Yes, everything was delivered in time, but we had to eat in a hurry, making it less enjoyable. I should have asked to have the order to go, annoying everyone else on the plane. While there was a QR Code for ordering, the server took our order. She then asked for my phone number and a credit card. When she told me the total, I asked her how she had arrived at that amount. Somehow $50 seemed a bit high. She explained to me that the system "automatically added a 15% gratuity" but that I was welcome to change it. The food was passable but certainly not gourmet. The service was minimal. The value is simply not there even after considering that this is an airport location, and the rent is mostly likely very expensive. Charging $14.95 for 3 small Egg Rolls served with Blue Cheese Dressing is outrageous and disgusting. The Pork in my Ramen was sliced too thick and was chewy. They should be embarrassed. I wish I hadn't been in such a hurry that I hadn't read the reviews before entering.

    Little Purse Dumpling Restaurant

This small restaurant is conveniently located in the airport at the intersection heading to Terminal E and the C gates (C34 and above). Ordering is flexible--you can scan a QR code, use a paper menu, or check the TV monitor. Just be aware: if you're looking at the monitor, there are no prices listed, which makes it hard to know what you're getting into. We ordered the siomai and a bowl. The food came out quickly, but the quality was disappointing. The siomai were hard and really small for the price, and everything was overly salty. We understand airport pricing is usually high, but this just wasn't worth it. Another downside: when it was time to pay, an 18% tip was already added automatically with no option to change it. For a quick-service spot, that didn't feel appropriate. Fast service and a convenient location aren't enough to make up for the quality and pricing.

You'll never have a great ambience whenever it comes to airport restaurants, but hey for what it's worth the vibes are there. The environment changes walking in. Now hear me out, airport ramen. Almost sounds the equivalent to gas station sushi, but it was actually not that bad. The miso was spiced and seasoned very well, the tofu were in good size cubes, which I love tofu so yay for that. The broth in the ramen was fantastic and everything was made together greatly. Now in terms of pricing. It's on the pricier side. And I wish there was more noodles in the bowl. The service overall was fantastic though. The guy who helped me out had a good smile and didn't mind helping out when needed. But, I like noodles, and I think with how the price was, It should've came with more.

Chicken and shrimp dumplings (I ate 2 of them). Sauce super salty and dumplings were extremely small. All for $16.99!

Food was salty and definitely not worth the price even if it is in the airport. Also, you order your own food via barcode which wouldn't be bad but the internet service is spotty throughout the restaurant making it impossible to order. Then you get greeted by waitstaff after you've moved yourself to a different lotion and half way in the middle of ordering your own food. Waitstaff didn't even have a good personality so these kinds of times makes it really hard to tip well let alone tip at all. Also, the portion is really small so if you're remotely hungry, this isn't the place. I ordered shrimp and chicken dumplings. Sounds yummy, right? Well, the sauce was very salty (and I like salt) and it had five very little dumplings for $16.99!

Nice place. Actually reasonably priced. But the slider was not that good. The spicy sauce over powered the chicken that I could really taste the chicken.

The ramen we had was great. It definitely was not the service we expected as you order through a QR code. If you are on a company card - heads up - ask for the receipt right there otherwise it will be a hassle to receive it. The ambiance was all right, definitely a quiet part of the loud airport. The boiled eggs were a highlight of the ramen bowl. The noodles were delicious and just the right consistency. The cucumber added the perfect touch of crunch to the bowl. I did - however - have to ask for chili oil on the side to get an actual flavor off of the broth. Once you add the chili oil, it makes for the perfect ramen. When we did ask for the chili oil they took quite a long while to attend to us - both times.

    Beef rice bowl

Small restaurant in terminal C. Airport food is never great so I didn't have high expectations but this meal was OK. I got the beef rice bowl. The portion was huge but the bowl itself was kind of plain. It had rice, beef, and kimchi... I wish it came with other toppings. The kimchi was too expensive so I only ate the rice and beef. The flavor wasn't terrible but wasn't great either. I would not come back here. The staff were nice and attentive.

I initially was excited to try this place for some time with the name and decor, usually just walking past Little Purse to catch a flight at IAH. I finally tried it. This has to be the saddest looking $20 dish of dumplings I've ever had, especially given the rich asian heritage in Houston. I ordered the pork and leak dumping, standard stuff, was slightly surprised by the ~$15 price tag adding to around $20 with tax and tip. The dumplings were fried to a dry crisp - soy sauce was very salty. I would not be surprised if they are unpacking frozen walmart (not even costco) dumplings in the kitchen and just deep frying them like french fries. Would I Recommend to Try? No Ambiance- 7/10 Food Taste- 2/10 Service- 2/10 Date Worthy- 0/10 Value- 0/10

Pork and leek pan fried dumplings

I finally made it to this little spot in the center of Terminal C. I've passed by it numerous times but didn't have the time for it. It's designed to be quick, but can be slower if it's busy there. They don't handle cash, or payments as all ordering is done in a tablet at tables or the bar seating. There are no asians working here, at least not during my visit. I went with the Korean chicken sliders, pork and leek dumplings and iced tea. Dumplings are slightly spicy since they're in a chili oil. Sliders are just chicken tenders slathered in a Korean BBQ sauce and small even tho the bun is delicious and large. The menu is a little misleading and confusing.....the posted one at the entrance versus the one you view on your phone. Posted one looks like they have more items, and when you view on phone, there are many different sections so your eyes play tricks on you. I heard this same comment from the patrons sitting next to me at the bar. But indeed, it's literally the same menu. Overall, this is an alright option in the airport. Their location is certainly prime. I still feel this is airport food though, just slightly better.
