Pei Wei in Kingwood has always been a family favorite since it opened. However, we stopped going there a few years ago due to the service and food quality going down. I decided to give them a try again tonight with take out. I must admit everything we ordered was excellent! Lettuce wraps, Teriyaki shrimp, and the Bourbon Chicken did not disappoint. We will definitely be returning back to try the dine in experience again. We've always loved the ambiance there! We need our good Asian restaurants in Kingwood! read more

Another underrated gem. Upon arrival I thought oh another version of Panda Express far from it. The food here was very delicious. I have the Spicy Korean Steak with rice and it was all cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and even offered up some suggestions that we ended up trying and was pleased. The establishment was clean. The wait for food was minimal. We will definitely be back. read more

Another first for us . A friend of ours swears by this place whenever she's in Texas from Northern California. So we finally after 6yrs have made it here and they didn't disappoint. Food was prepared fresh. My sesame looked and tastes as described. Slightly crunchy and lightly sweet. Rice was cooked to perfection. Customer service was great and helpful us navigate through our fickle minded decisions. Will definitely be return visits. Only minus was there were no sesame seeds on my chicken. read more

Pei Wei was always my fav by my work location. Great food, great ambience, great service. This was in the Champions area. After retiring, I now frequent the Kingwood location. I can only hope that business there will now blossom again with Trader Joe's finally replacing a huge Randall's. Both are great places to eat or shop. read more

Since the moment we walked in the ambience was so nice. We were immediately greeted by the cashier and he had a smile on his face the whole time. Our food came out quick and it was plated beautifully. Then when we finished our food the cook came and gave us special fortune cookies with sprinkles on them and it was so cute I rate this location a 10/10!!!!!! read more

Ordered the spicy general chicken with noodles instead of rice. When they brought my food, I recognized the noodles as Ramen. Then I took a bite and it was clearly cheap Ramen noodles. Needless to say, I got my money back and did not eat anything else from there read more

Only two stars for food I would give five for service though. Whatever the manager is telling the workers they need to put more meat in the dishes. I don't blame the workers, just pei wei it self or the management. Put more meat, it's like 98% rice The workers do deserve a raise though read more

Had pei wei tonight. I've never had. It is order, pay, sit down. We did take out. Person who took my order. Name Marcos, Marcus. Very nice. Patient. As my first time. Ordering was easy. I joined the rewards program. Those are always nice. Bourbon chicken and fried rice. Husband ate every bite. It was delicious. I had orange chicken. Well made. Crispy bites chicken orange sauce. Yummy. I love rice I ordered extra. Brown and steamed. Server very thoughtful. Sent me home with eatingware, chopsticks. Chopsticks. That was perfect to slow my husband down. He was starving but I wanted him to enjoy his meal. And he did! We hope to return very soon. O. Got 2 orders of crab puffs. 6 pc. Tasty. Ordering, easy process. I was able to be swift. I was excited to try this place since i got a coupon for free lettuce wraps from the planet fitness grand opening and the ladies were so nice at the event. We did not have a great experience 2 years ago but we had a great meal and service today. Unlike last time, the dining room was clean and tables cleared, the service was great and the food met the standards expected from Pei Wei. Our food was great and came out fast, correct & delicious. The place seemed updated somehow and some new items on the menu. Management & staff made noticeable improvements! read more

Pei Wei Asian Kitchen - I was so hungry i tried to eat, what is this? i could have boiled my own spaghetti and used duck sauce from my pantry. - Asian Fusion Near Me - Kingwood, Texas

As someone with a severe gluten allergy, I thought I wouldn't be able to consume my favorite Chinese dishes since they're mostly full of gluten. My nutritionist said P.F. Chang's and Pei Wei had gluten-free options. My favorite dishes off the GF menu (which has several offerings) are the Kung pao chicken and shrimp, chicken with broccoli, and the Pei Wei original shrimp. I don't know if they have GF soy sauce or coconut aminos (I've only had takeout since my diagnosis), but the food is extremely flavorful, and my husband (who orders GF as well) said he can't tell the difference. I also always get the cauliflower rice, and it adds that right crunch with my food. The hack to the freshest meal possible via takeout is to order your food when you're within 10 minutes of the restaurant. If they're finishing your order when you pull up, you won't be disappointed. read more

We always do Takeout but the food is just what they advertise. I can't say much for the ambience ... it's like a cafeteria.

Not the same food and I understand ties change but it must be noted that the service is amazing from the crew who served me and my son on the evening of 9/2/2023. Very gracious! read more

The food and service here are excellent. I've enjoyed every meal. Clean and conveniently located.

I was craving fried rice and stopped in with my daughter. It was so clean and welcoming. They have new menu items besides the old "tried and true" selections. I had the new bourbon chicken with fried rice. It came out steaming hot and the sweet server was attentive and friendly. If you haven't been here in a while try it again, it won't disappoint! read more

I ordered online pickup today, I got the chicken broccoli and chicken dumplings. Pictures are very misleading. The chicken and broccoli legit looked like it had no flavor. The sauce color difference through the picture vs real life is crazy!! The chicken was dry and had no flavor. The rice was okay not the best, tasted like panda express rice. The dish itself smelled like steamed broccoli Overall I did not like that dish at all. I did however really like the chicken dumplings. It had way more flavor than the chicken broccoli and was very juicy. I would probably go back only for the dumplings and MAYBE to try another dish, but after the disappointment of the chicken broccoli, I don't think I would try anything else. read more

The 2 stars are for friendly service, by James, who took my order to go. Other than that, I would not return. This was an inedible waste of money. The lo mein noodles were just hard spaghetti, that did not look or taste fresh. There were 4 anemic shrimp and the chicken was tough and tasteless. It all smelled of peanut oil, and there were 4 sugar snap peas and some Sysco type carrot slices. Won't be wasting any money here, again read more

I stopped coming to this restaurant as the experience with the food was not good, like fried rice not well done, many white rice included, not good flavor. After over 2 years decided to try and today was great food. The beef Kung Pao and shrimp Kung pao was great. The reason I gave 4 stars is that maybe it is like that the recipe but we like it but more dry but was tasty read more

I'm Asian. This place serves Horrible Asian food. Everything seems to be coming straight out of a microwave. This was not Asian food, the rice came straight out of a box. I have never been so disappointed with food like I have today. We spent closed to $100 for these food. We ordered all entree dishes, and typically they are packed separately from the rice, this was not the case. Rice was course and raw! read more

I visited Pei Wei (Kingwood) on a slow Tuesday evening at 5:00 p.m. Was very disappointed to see how this restaurant has gone down. The overall appearance of the dining room was nothing less of subpar. Floors dirty, sticky and had trash on them. Many tables had not been cleaned long after their guests left. Won't be going back to that location. read more

I ordered the lettuce wraps on Grub Hub for pickup. Food was ready when I arrived. Lettuce wraps were yummy as usual.

The food is so good. Hot and fresh. Plus the staff is always so helpful. Service can be crazy when they are busy but well worth the wait.
