    Clearly shows a $5 discount not $2.50

Can you give a place a negative star rating? Based on my last visit, that is what I would of done if possible. I waited a day to post this to cool off and I am still upset on how we were treated. We have supported this store for years, even through Covid, this was one of our main stops. They changed their Customer Appreciation program 2 years ago and we signed up for the new program. It was not as good as the old one but it is what they have. They sent me an anniversary text the other day and it stated Little King Alert: Thanks for being a part of our program for 2 year! Use kiosk or click tlcx.co/u1au @location to redeem 50% off your meal up to $5. We decided to drive the 25 miles to visit Little King in the Old Market. We went and ordered my favorite, the number 11. It started when at 2:00 they only had white bread, already out of all of there other breads. That was ok and we ordered our sandwich and had it made. When I presented the text, the lady asked her son what it was and he spoke to her in another language. She then took $2.50 off a $13 order. I asked why the discount was not $5 as the text said and she said you get 50% off of $5 and that is $2.50. I explained that is not what states and the son and mother started yelling at me that is what it says. Now the Dad comes over and is yelling that as well. I told them that is not what it said. They took the sandwich and said that they would give it to the homeless and not to come back. This is to a loyal customer of many years and when they were wrong. They are not appreciative of the customers and loyalty of the money spent there and to yell at a customer when you are wrong! I will never step foot in there again and suggest others to do the same. Not only could I not use my reward there, I could not use it at other Little Kings as I had to select it and it only allows a few minutes to use. This is not view towards all Little Kings as I still love the other locations and I suggest people to support them.

The 11. Royal Treat King Size Sandwich. Sooo good! I split half with my hubby and this will keep us full all day at the zoo!

Visiting from out of town, I woke up hungry for something of substance. I was the first customer of the day and very excited to get the royal treat aka the big daddy of Italian sandwiches! We were greeted by a friendly owners. I love how it's a family run operation and you can feel the care and service the provide to their customers. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! After a day of eating queso, bbq, and all around parry food, it felt great to nosh on something fresh! Would def recommend and if I lived nearby I would be coming back often! Sandwich was piled high of fresh veggies and they didn't skimp on the meats and cheeses! Half a sandwich is more than enough to get me thru until dinner.

Poor little king worker...she was working alone on the weekend with a really long line. My sympathy extends to her. However, esp when you're making food right in front of the customer, you should be sure that you use clean practices when making their food. She swiped at her brow and hair a few times (no hairnet) and didnt change gloves between customers..I definitely had an onion taste on my bread which I didnt really care for since I didnt order any raw onions on my sandwich...but the guy in front of me did. She also rushed and just slapped a lot of the ingredients on the bread while making it. I want to believe this is forgivable bc she seemed really stressed out and it's not her fault no one is working with her on a holiday...but still. I do like that the deli meat and cheese is sliced super thin and freshly sliced for each sandwich. The sandwich we ordered and shared we actually really enjoyed, it was one of the king's favorites (royal treat) on the menu. It tasted fresh and for $5.25 also a little steep for the size (maybe 6-8 inches). Mixed feelings on returning. It does remind me of jimmy johns.

Who would've thought a sandwich place would've been the best food of our trip?! It was the best sandwich I've had! I had the Royal. My mouth waters thinking about it!

I was not overly impressed with this place. The deli meat sandwich that I ordered was not bad, and the bread was great. It just didnt really stand out at all. Service was a bit lethargic

Great little sub shop, and an Omaha Tradition, personally I like the not so sterile feel and it is better than the chain sub shops

My husband and I were downtown for lunch, and I knew I had to stop by. The menu is VERY limited; there are only two to three sandwiches everyday and a few soups. I decided to order the mozzarella, tomatoes, arugula, and balsamic sandwich and he tried the mortadella with dijon. My sandwich came cold and his was hot, but both were served on the most delicious focaccia bread with flaky sea salt. I was in heaven. There is very limited seating, but the shop as a whole was very cute. There are some specialty meats, cheeses, drinks, and other food goods available for purchase, too. Everyone working was very kind and helpful. This is a must visit if you are a sandwich lover!

THIS is where you come to buy the AMAZING sourdough bread that they serve there. I was at an art event once featured a prominent German photographer. During his gallery talk, he jubilantly exclaimed that he LOVES coming to Omaha, that the Buvette sourdough is THE BEST in the WORLD! I agree. And the really great thing is that they will make amazing sandwiches from it. There is a chalkboard menu listing their sandwiches each day. There are usually 3 different rotating choices. It is enough, I usually have trouble deciding which one to get even with that small menu. The flavors are amazing and the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. I'm going to say that these might be the best sandwiches in the world. Most of the sandwiches are made on this AMAZING house-made focaccia bread. Literally the only thing that makes me sad here is that sometimes they run out of focaccia and ask if they can make it using baguette instead. Their baguettes are amazing as well but personally I don't like them as sandwich bread. So in that event I usually get the soup instead. Their soups are delicious so it's not that big of a problem, Seating is very limited, with a tiny table inside and a couple outside, so you will probably have to find somewhere else to sit and enjoy your lunch, There are deli items, pickles and olives, desserts, and some specialty grocery items available, Staff there are lovely as well and I always feel happy when I visit. Oh, and this - you know how I said these are probably the best sandwiches in the world? One might expect these would be a premium price. I am delighted to tell you that $7.98 will get you one of these amazing things. They are large and satisfying. It is an incredibly good value. I come here often!

Star Deli is tucked away in Benson, and is open a bit later than other restaurants at all to cater to the scene of the strip. As a vegetarian, I greatly appreciate their entire list of veggie options, which allows me to feel unlimited in my options - unlike traditional sandwich shops that may have 1-2 veggie options. Star Deli uses creativity to cater to all types of sandwich desires! I tried the Jalapeño Popper this visit, switching it up from my traditional sweet potato sandwich order. As you can see from the photos, there was no skimping on my jalapeños, and they were crunchy and fresh! Not very spicy, but that is not something they can control without taking a bite of each pepper lol. This sandwich was flavorful and unique, and I would definitely order it again. The only worker quickly got 'cookin' once myself and one other customer ordered, delivering timely service without the rushed chaos of fast food as I saw him freshly chopping up the veggies. The local artwork on the walls and the location being in Benson, Star Deli is one of my favorite sandwich spots. A block away from a vintage store from the left and the right, bars nearby, coffeeshops, shopping, and ice cream, it really is prime for the day or night! I recommend the Jalapeño Popper, but with such a large menu, I will probably try something new next time, and so should you :)

A delicate hint of sour, and a soft touch of light rye, with a fresh scent of caraway and onion..... it is a perfect loaf! Chewy, but still supple. they have mastered the craft. People living in Lithuania might be jealous! But such bakeries are rare, even in Chicago nowadays. we live here in California and there is nothing even close to what we remember. But luckily, this little gem of a bakery is making their incredible Lithuanian sourdough rye bread available via Goldbelly. if you are lucky enough to be standing in front of this bakery, run, don't walk inside and buy as many loaves as you have money for. They will freeze well, and they will be the best bread you have ever eaten. If you are not standing in front of it, do what I did. go to their website, and order by Goldbelly. I plan to do it for as long as they remain in business. This bread certainly makes a good sandwich if you slice it thin. But I prefer it toasted, with butter. Or better yet, smeared with Lithuanian farmers cheese that has bits of Caraway. The toast softens the cheese a bit, and you have a gooey treat! If you don't have such cheese (Andrulis is a good brand) consider a good creamy goat or even a simple cow's milk cream cheese spread from good ol' Philadelphia. Honestly, you can just eat it straight from. The loaf. Can't go wrong.
