We had breakfast at Little John's and it was absolutely the best diner food I've had. The biscuits were fluffy, the hash browns were crispy, and my corned beef hash was amazing. Our little kids ordered French toast with bacon and the servings were actually kid-sized! My daughter said she is sad we don't live in Winter Haven because she wants to eat that food again and again. Our server was really sweet and attentive as well. The restaurant is close to Legoland, just a few minutes away so a great stop for anyone who is in town for that. If we ever come back to the area we will definitely return to Little John's. read more

Food, delicious. Service, wonderful. Ambiance, loud. I saw a post and Little John's and thought I'd give them a try. The place is great. Small in size, only like 10 table, perfect. My only concern was the noice level due to the size. There was a crying child and dear lord, it was so loud. There wasn't the space to let the volume drop at all. I had the ultimate omelet and it was delicious. I got the side of tomatoes instead of the potatoes and that was a good choice. I didn't walk out if there feeling all bloated. read more

0 Stars Absolutely Terrible! Placed our order for breakfast and waited 45 min then asked how much longer and food had not even been started! Can't tell you how the food was because we left! Service started off good but never even got a refill on our coffee. I would give the benefit of doubt that it was busy but it was not and even if it was the place is not very big! It is my understanding that the chef cooks one meal at a time, therefore we waiting about 1 hour for our food. I went with friends and one of them had been here before and warned me about how long it takes to get your food. Ok, so based on my previous review I will still say that the 50+ minute wait - on a Sunday morning - was ridiculous based on the size of the place, I would like to amend and say that once the food did arrive, it was very good! WOW what a great diner!! They're open from 8:00am-2:30pm with breakfast, lunch, salads, appetizers, and sides on the menu. I had the philly beef and cheese with sweet potato fries and cole slaw. The sandwich normally comes with American cheese which I don't eat, so provolone cheese was added. It was hot and seasoned well and the sweet potato fries that came with the cole slaw and sandwich, were outstanding! The serving was large enough that I took half of it home. Had high hopes for this diner based upon previous reviews, but having to wait 35 minutes for mediocre food when there were only two other tables is utterly ridiculous. All the food arrived at the table hot, which is not always the case in many restaurants. Our server was patient as we decided on our order, checked on us often and kept the coffee mug filled.
