We went in for catfish for the grandmas--and boy, did they love it! My mom never finishes her food, but she cleared her entire plate. These ladies are picky about their catfish, and they raved about it so much, we're already planning to go back this evening. My husband had the Philly, and I went for the huge burger--so big I could barely finish it, but it was just as good warmed up later. The onion rings? Absolutely amazing. What really made the visit stand out, though, was the staff. TJ was excellent--full of positive energy, a great attitude, and genuinely welcoming. I wish more places had employees like him. We'll definitely be back!

You need to get here! I am brand new to the area and here to stay with my wife and kids, and I love trying out new restaurants for the food and the experience. Even before you enter the building you'll notice friendly people outside, and when you walk in, you now you've just entered a place that is passionate about what they do and it's bout to some goood food. The chicken and waffles was on point, and i finished my wife's hash browns, and they were the definition of perfection. They took their time preparing our meal, but they got their praise and worship on while throwin' down in the kitchen, and you know I joined in on the praise right from the table. There was nothing left on my plate except the bones of the chicken wings. I'm coming back and I'm bringing somebody with me. You'll visit and be glad you did!

This place was all about southern hospitality and amazing food. This restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. It is on the left-hand side of the strip mall. Upon walking in, it is clear you order the food from the counter and pick your own table. My wife and I went for breakfast, so we both ordered a fried pork chop, scrabled eggs, chesse grits, toast, and a side of corned beef hash. The food was ready in about 10 to 15 minutes and it was brought to the table. I call these layback pork chops because once you take a bite, you will close your eyes and lay back in your chair. You'll tingle all over and dream of your favorite memory. As you know, a perfectly cooked pork chop is an art. They have mastered the art. The first few bites were a blur. I started cutting the pork up in bites, but soon after that I had to grab it up with my hands. It was too good to wait for my hands to cut it up with a fork and knife. Then our experience hit another level. The cheesey grits were silky and peferctly cooked. Please note that they are not seasoned, so adding salt and pepper is not an insult. Salt and pepper are on the table, and a basket of utensils and napkins is brought to the table. Regarding the corned beef hash and srambled eggs, they were perfection. The corned beed hash was crispy, and the eggs were fluffy. I am a corned beef hash officiando, and it is top-notch. To speak to the portion size, it is the right amount. You will leave feeling the right amount of full. The most important thing to talk about is the staff and amostphere. Everyone says hello, take your time to order, and how was your meal. I am certain we met the owners, but I didn't want to be too nosey. This place made me feel like my family was making a meal for brunch. Thanks for the hospitality! We loved our meals and experiences. Now I'd like to talk about dessert. When you walk in, look to your left. You will see the most beautiful cakes (lemon pound cake, red velvet, coconut, chocolate, etc.). I brought two pieces of red velvet cake to my brother and fathter. They ate it in about 2 minutes. They both closed their eyes and didn't talk. Maybe this restaurant should be called "happy eyes and delicous desserts". If you want a delicious meal with wonderful people, this is your place. Kudos to the owners and staff. Please note that we loved it so much that we ordered food for delivery for dinner. They use foil paper so the food comes warm like you were in the restaurant.

Food is good. Only issue is the time they say your food will be ready it never is. My go to is the chicken and waffles.

I got the butterfly gin drink again and as always, it is 10 out of 10. It isn't too sweet and it packs a punch. My husband got an old-fashioned and enjoyed it. For our Mains, I got the pear salad, which was great. I didn't add any protein because my younger son got the grilled chicken kids meal with french fries. He only eats half the chicken so I got the other half. My older son got buttered noodles and a side of fries. It was very good as well, he liked the buttered noodles, but stopped halfway through, so I wouldn't be surprised if he chooses another dish next time. He does love the fries. My husband got the chimichurri steak which he should get every single time because it is delicious and my younger son eats a ton of it as well. This time he got the vegetable of the day and mashed potatoes as his sides and enjoyed both. Parking is a breeze because there is a lot of nearby street parking. It is only about 15 minutes away from LEGOLAND, so I highly recommend if you're in the area skip all the chain restaurants and come here instead.

She had the Breakfast Burger with fries and I went with the skirt steak and eggs. Both were excellent. The steak was cooked right and the whole plate came together well. Service was a little slow, which kept this from being a perfect visit. We also happened to be seated near one extremely loud patron, which made the room harder to enjoy, though that is obviously not the cafe's fault. Even with the slow service, the quality of the food is what matters and Lucille's delivered. We would come back.

The outside patio is beautifully decorated with lights, tables and chairs and greenery with foliage to create that natural outdoor vibe. When you enter, it's like walking into a small home where you greeted and seated by a hostess or server. There's a main great room and 2 smaller rooms that have seating as well and ambiance lighting throughout for intimate gatherings. The bathrooms are clean and fully stocked with necessities. As for the food, I got the Brussel sprouts salad without goat cheese which was delicious . It was about the size of my fist for $13. I assumed it was more of a tasting menu. My mother got the gnocchi which was described as delicious but lukewarm in temperature. She loved the beet salad however and the side of sour dough bread. My dad got a 13oz steak with potato purée. His steak was good in flavor however he described it as a bit too tough, and could have been more tender. Since he is a retired chef of 40 years I value his input. My other family members ordered the egg yolk ravioli which seemed a bit of a strange combination but certainly worked out in flavor. The labneh that was with the beet salad was also paired and eaten with the sourdough bread which seemed to be a great idea. Unfortunately the bolognese pasta was not tender enough for my family's liking. If you like pasta that way then you should be just fine. Over all it was fine dining and good. If you would like to go to a place where the portions are a bit larger I would suggest another place. But this is a nice casual dining intimate place for any special small occasion. Last but not least, Beth our server was kind and sweet. She was patient and very accommodating with great table manner and should certainly be recognized for her gracious nature and hospitality.

So today, we decided to make a big detour for lunch on our drive back home. Howard has never made a better dining choice. Though not near I-4 at all, the food was worth the trip! After entering, we waited in a short queue to look at the menu & place our order. Since hubs had been romanticizing their fried catfish, we decided to share a dinner with mac & cheese and collard greens. And of course I wanted grits & fried okra, too. We picked a table and waited only a few minutes for our meal. I really don't know where to start with the food because everything was incredibly delicious. My only critique might be that the grits were not as piping hot as everything else. That aside, those grits were loosely creamy with a drizzle of butter, and made an amazing bite alone, but even more so with the fried catfish. I could not stop eating either, though hubs did help. Plus, the fry on the catfish, & also the okra, was perfectly crisp & light. Yeah, we finished the okra, too. The collard greens were simply outstanding. I loved that they weren't soggy or over-spiced. Hubs & I fought over the last bite. We also loved their mac & cheese! The flavor was decadently cheesy with a thick creamy sauce & a baked cheese crust. And I really liked that the macaroni pasta wasn't mushy. Our entire meal was fantastic. Hubs ate the entire cornbread muffin so it must have been tasty. I'm definitely looking forward to another opportunity to eat at Big Daddy's!

It's not much to look at as it's a dive and next to the corner Citgo station. We were hungry and tired of waiting to eat. So, the waitress pushed tables together for the 12 of us. Even though it took a little while to get our food it was absolutely delicious. A couple of us had breakfast which was fabulous and the rest of the group had BBQ and everyone of them raved about their food--especially the ribs, Mac and cheese, and fried okra. Our server, Mikayla, was awesome. We kept her busy but she was very kind, courteous, and attentive. I have no doubt that we will be back to enjoy some more BBQ at Big Daddy's who actually came out and met everyone in our group.

We started with the pretzel appetizer, which was hot and crispy on the outside while staying pillowy soft on the inside. The wasabi mustard is a game changer and easily the standout accompaniment. The queso is your standard yellow queso, similar to classic nacho cheese. We tried the Kingpin Brisket Sandwich with barbecue sauce on the side. The brisket is finely chopped but could benefit from more seasoning on its own rather than relying on BBQ sauce to carry the flavor. The pineapple slaw and onion straws add nice texture and layers of flavor, which makes you hope to see improved brisket quality in the future. The Philly was ordered to-go, and the portion size felt small for the $16 price point. The steak again lacked seasoning, though the bread was toasted nicely. It comes with peppers, onions, and mushrooms; I opted out of peppers and didn't really notice any mushroom flavor coming through. Overall, the menu has a wide variety of sandwiches, burgers, and wings, but I'd like to see improvements in seasoning, protein quality, and overall consistency. On a positive note, the server was very friendly and efficient, and the pickup process was smooth. Looking forward to trying additional offerings in the future and hoping to see some quality improvements across the menu.

This is a casual restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating and it is seat yourself. We picked an open table outside and sat there for quite a while before anyone acknowledged us. They then sent the server assigned to our table (Samantha). It was a quick smile-free greeting and she took our drink orders, then when serving our drinks she took our food order. After serving our food, she never stopped by our table again, although she stopped by her other tables around us several times. We had to stop her to ask for a box and our check.....she never offered drink refills even. We ordered a single cheeseburger with bacon and a side of onion rings ($14.74), a Fish Filet with no side ($14.50) and an order of Tater Kegs ($11.50). The cheeseburger with bacon looked great but didn't live up to the appearance. It was kind of tasteless....even the bacon was disappointing. The onion rings were crisp and pretty perfect. Fish Filet was large and tasty although we really would have liked more tartar sauce. The Tater kegs were also large and tasty. It was nice sitting outside with view of the lake and boat activity. This restaurant has potential to be much better....slow, minimum and cold service really takes a restaurant experience down. I hate that I cannot recommend this restaurant.
