This is a typical unassuming diner that attempts to make guests feel like they stepped into an old diner but doesn't quite deliver. The decor feels forced. They also ran out of coffee on the day that I visited, which for a diner is a big problem. I'm still giving it 4 out of 5 stars because the service is good and the value even better. Huge portions for the price. The pork chops were perhaps a bit underseasoned but nonetheless well cooked. Hash browns were great, biscuit as well. This diner feels like you're at home. From the outside it looks old because of the building it sits in, but other than that the inside is very spacious. The menu has several options to choose from and the customer service is great. I had the French toast which was filled with flavor crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle just the way I like here the home fries were unseasoned, but with the little salt and pepper, they still were good. The biscuits taste homemade. The bacon was crispy and the grits were creamy. Overall, the experience was great, and the food was delicious. Definitely will be returning again. read more

Great little local place! Great burger and fries. My companions said the BLT and the omelet were delicious as well. Meals came with a cup of soup and my burger with coleslaw. Food is ok for me what you pay. I ordered a Philly with fries, when the Philly got to the table the fries got lost somewhere on 27. When they got the fries quite quickly, they were luke warm. Mom got a chef's salad, which was bigger than her. The ham, turkey, and roast beef, and cheese weren't cut in bite sizes but cut into 1.5 inch wide strips. Making it difficult for mom to enjoy, because she has one hand that can't hold on to a knife. A lot of older people that go there, I'm sure struggle with similar things. This needs to be taken into consideration. Food portions are very generous and comes out quickly. Our group of four had a variety of items; scrambled eggs , hash browns, home fries, pancakes and biscuits. Hot , fresh and tasty. It was surprisingly quiet even though it was a packed house for breakfast hour. There are comfortable booths and tables for all size groups. This was a tasty diner I found while on the road on a Sunday. But it was one I felt treated its regulars very different than we strangers were treated. The place was filled with cowboy hats, baseball caps and tank tops for a Sunday morning. I chose the eggs benedicts and was pleased with it and the potatoes that came with it. Eating traffic was heavy but the talented hostess had seating and cleaning tables to a science and the line moved steadily. Didn't like the noise level of employees shouting at each other and almost running in and out of the prep area. First visit to Dundee Diner for lunch/breakfast. Since it was Sunday around 12:30 we were with the after church crowd but our wait time was only about 15-20 min. The diner is a pretty good size with more than 20 tables. We ordered Hickory burger with bacon, American cheese and bbq sauce served with fries and Cole slaw and we ordered the Dundee Skillet which featured scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage gravy, cheese and toast. We also ordered a biscuit. The service is attentive and today Kelly was our server. The burger was a big burger and by itself, was not flavorful at all. I'm not sure that they used any seasoning. The consistency of the meat patty was thick and medium packed which was perfect. I added Mayo and a little of the bbq sauce. The fries were not served hot and they were shoe string style, which are not my favorite. I did not eat half of the fries. The Cole slaw is minced nicely and had a nice very light flavor. It could use a little more flavor but it's still tasty. The Dundee Skillet is a sizeable dish and it was tasty. The biscuit is really good, crisp and buttery on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday while passing through. Dundee Diner is a great throw back to way we used to go out for dinner 30 years ago. The menu is simple but tasty and the portions are plentiful. The atmosphere is exactly what a dinner should be relaxed and inviting. The service here was good and included the manager coming by to make sure we were doing good. I held off one star because a lot of our meal was prepackaged parts as opposed to fresh in-house prepared. Im not sure if we would return and if we did it would be out of sheer necessity. read more

My meal came with two sides so for the other side I got onion rings. Very crispy and fresh! My sister got fried chicken and it was just as delicious! AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. When we arrived it was busy and was given a number. We waited no more than 5mins and were seated. Our waiter John came over instantly and took our drink order. While he was getting our drink order we were asked by 2 additional waiters if our drink order had been taken. We ordered chicken and gravy, scrambled eggs, french toast, hashbrown, bacon and biscuit. The food came out record time and everything was hot and made well. This was literally the fastest service I have ever received from ANY restaurant. John stopped by our table multiple time to check on us and make sure our drinks were filled. My husband and I were genuinely impressed. This was our first time here and we will be returning.
