I rarely write negative reviews, but after two instances of poor product quality and even worse customer service, I feel obligated to share my experience. Back in November, I ordered a custom strawberry cheesecake for my wife's birthday -- $75. What arrived was a disappointment: the filling was curdled in places and liquidy in others, many of the strawberries were clearly unripe and covered up with a lot of glaze, and the crust varied so dramatically in thickness it looked unfinished. Not what you'd expect for a specialty order at that price. Getting resolution was its own ordeal. The contact email on their website bounced. I called and left a voicemail. Eventually they responded, gave me a different email, and I submitted photo documentation of the issues. To their credit, they acknowledged the problem -- but refused a refund, offering only store credit. I accepted and moved on. Fast forward to February: I tried to use that store credit for my son's birthday cake. I submitted their online order form, referenced the store credit, and waited. Nothing. No reply, no confirmation. I called the bakery a few days later and was sent to voicemail. Left a message explaining the situation. Never heard back. My son's birthday came and went. We had to find a last-minute solution elsewhere. I gave this bakery two chances. The first produced a defective product. The second didn't even produce a response. If you're ordering a custom cake for an important occasion, I'd think carefully before trusting them with it.

Breakfast Burrito

Pleasant cafe in Fairbanks Village Plaza with a small but sufficient menu. The airy space feels welcoming and encourages lingering either inside or out, and while the staff may not be particularly proactive, they're at minimum responsive if you need something beyond the water and cups available at the self-serve station. My girlfriend and I both ordered the Breakfast Burrito (EGG, CHEDDAR CHEESE, ROASTED POTATO, BACON), which was well-executed in its simplicity and piping hot. Not inexpensive, but that's the Ranch for you! ;)

The food is absolutely amazing. This is hands down the best bakery in San Diego. Everything is made fresh daily and tastes super fresh. The staff is friendly, Sandy helped me with recommendations and nothing disappointed. The vibe is very calm and clean. Definitely recommend and coming back.

A perfectly made latte, a delicious pastry & girl talk what could be better!? Love, LOVE this bakery what a gem! Everything is made so much detail, shows in the quality. The bakery in itself is so inviting & charming. The packaging is so cute!! What a find, satisfied 10|10!! YUM :))

Don't bother getting a matcha latte unless you're in the mood for 16oz of milk. Won't be going back.

Matcha, soooo yummy!

It was a flavor bomb. The ratio of espresso to milk and foam was perfect for the cappuccino, and one of the things that I appreciated was that the lid was not plastic; it was made of paper like the cup. They are an Italian bakery, so they had many delicious looking pastries, which I'll have try next time. They're located in a little shopping center, so there's plenty of parking.

I'm a huge fan of the Italian minimalist approach to sandwiches: every ingredient's a shining star, especially the bread. truthly, I'm also a huge fan of the American-style where the filling's supersized and point of the bread's to keep your mits clean. Dolce Aroma's definitely on the less-is-more end of that sammie spectrum. they succeed spectacularly. the wife-unit had the POSILLIPO (prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, arugula, and olive oil on a warm baguette). I had the VESUVIO (prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, Italian cream, fig jam, and arugula on a warm baguette). the bread was perfect with a dense chew. love the sweetness of the cream and fig jam, nice counterpoints to the salty prosciutto and the peppery arugula. thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich. my only gripe is with the price point, an issue I almost never raise. nearly twenty bucks is a lot to spend for a sandwich. the ratio of what you pay for to what you get here's a bit steep. I'm mostly okay with that but be aware.

Ok, PB sourdough stands on it's own AND gives me every excuse to eat some more butter! Toasts up nice no matter what you like from a soft to burnt scale. But the sourdough was the gateway drug for me. It's impossible to go into the Prager Bros bake shops and avoid seeing something even more additive. For me, the almond croissant just sings the perfect duet with a good cup of coffee. They rotate in some scones that are equally tempting. The honey walnut, limited offering, was my favorite until they stopped making it. The seasonal scone (date and coconut) is more than a fine substitution. They serve baguette sandwiches that are crispy crunchy and delicious. Highly recommend them.....the danger is you won't be able to drive by one. Heck, you get hooked enough, when you get in your car your Waze may prompt you with the time and distance to Prager Bros. Could be worse I suppose! You're welcome!

I really enjoyed the cinnamon roll made with croissant dough and to be honest, the pain eu chocolate wasn't the freshest I've had, but I still enjoyed it OK. I wouldn't order that again, but I would definitely get the cinnamon roll again. That was one of the best ones I've had. I loved that it was made from croissant dough, which made it lighter and more flaky than most cinnamon rolls. I have high standards for croissants as I've been to France many times. :) The view that I got to enjoy these watching while sitting outside, made it such a great experience. I balanced my sweets with a cold refreshing iced Americano, and I would like to come back to try the Nutella danish. The service was great. The summer salad was fresh and loaded with smoked salmon, avocado, mango, and pistachios. Definitely save room for dessert. The crème brûlée had that perfect crunchy caramelized top, and the lemon meringue tart was really cute and had a nice balance of tart and sweet. Then a few years ago, it changed hands (Maybe more than once) and the only Location that I know of now is this one in the City of Encinitas in San Diego County. I haven't been there in 3 years because it is a 1.5 to 2 hour drive. But on fathers day this year, I decided to treat my parents to brunch as it is my father's favorite place for the Niçoise salad. So, i drove from Long Beach. Champagne Bakery is a small french Bakery and café. It is located in a very charming Spanish mediterranean white building with terra cotta roof tiles and a large courtyard with lots of tables under market umbrellas, reminiscent of a European small town square. The seating is almost exclusively all outdoors for the exception of a couple of small tables inside. There is plenty of parking out front. The menu has a lot to offer and is centered around french Café classics such as the French Onion soup, the Croque Monsieur and the Niçoise Salad. But they also have omelettes, paninis, savory and sweet crepes, soups, and more. They have lots of daily baked goods including baguettes, pastries, cake by the slice as well as whole cakes, coffees etc (see full menu in photos) I tried the broccoli cheddar soup for the first time. It comes with a piece of French roll. It was creamy and flavorful. I also got an omelette with spinach, mushroom and Swiss cheese. It comes with either salad or breakfast potatoes as well as a piece of french roll. I got the potatoes extra crispy. Everything tasted really good. My father ordered his all time personal favorite. The Niçoise salad and my mother ordered a soup and sandwich combo. We all enjoyed our food outdoors on a breezy and beautiful sunny day. The manager and staff members were super friendly and accommodating and Prices are reasonable. I wish we lived closer. I would visit more often. If you've never been to Champagne bakery, I recommend giving it a try.
