The breading could have used a bit more seasoning, but they were pretty good. The eggplant parmesan had a great flavor and was a good size for being the lunch portion. The Diet Coke was average. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I will be sure to visit this establishment every time I am in town.

I ordered the penne pasta with white sauce and shrimp, and the portion was generous enough that I had leftovers. I served them the next night alongside steaks, and the pasta was just as flavorful warmed up as it was when it first arrived. So many wonderful flavors in every bite! We sat at the bar both times, and both bartenders were outstanding--attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely fun to chat with. They had the soccer game playing, so we were able to enjoy a great meal, relax, and watch the game at the same time. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the service is exceptional, and the food is outstanding. The Red Devil is an absolute must when visiting Pinetop!

Driving through town so came in and ordered a To-Go order. Madelyn took care of us on Register 3…read moreand while she was very pleasant she was not that attentive and accurate in taking our order. Our food was correct (thus 2 stars - one for our chicken and one for our fries) but the wait was excessive (15 minutes) and I wanted a concrete and was debating with my husband on the size and opted for a small (we had this discussion in front of Madelyn) and after looking at the menu I ordered a "small concrete in the flavor of the day" and she placed my order without questions. My husband ordered a small chocolate concrete with Reese's PB cups but asked for them not to put too many in. After our 15 minute wait we were given a small chocolate concrete and a super tiny FOD concrete. I reminded her I ordered a small and she said it only came in that size. I said I wish she would've told me that when I ordered it. We didn't have time to wait to have it remade. It was supposed to be a chocolate and caramel concrete but there was no caramel on it so I asked if they could at least put that on it. When we got to the car I looked at my receipt and my concrete that was about 1/4 of my husband's small was $4.09! A small was $6.29. It gets worse: after asking for "not a lot of PB cups" he got ZERO. Sadly we did not realize this until we were a few miles out of town. My recommendations: if you are in a hurry go elsewhere and clarify what you are ordering and what you get. I think we'll just try somewhere else. As requested below I tried emailing to the address listed and it came back saying the address was invalid.

Then when I went to pay and I went to the front desk, I asked for military discount and never before has anybody ever asked me to take my ID out so she looked at my ID and said it's expired and I said OK here's my drivers license and she scrutinize my drivers license. It says Veteran on it and said this expires in 2028. I'm like exactly and she went to say well I could be a dishonorable discharge and that she knows somebody who's a Veteran so she knows all about this thing a verifying people so I went to the VA and I told them that my ID is expired and I need a new one and then I asked them to people with dishonorable discharges, get IDs and they said no and to go backwards when I finished paying and I didn't give a tip because the service was horrible and also the chicken smelt a little strange and tasted off like it was expired and undercooked in the pineapple fried rice I got the pineapple fried rice was OK but the chicken was off. I only ate a couple of pieces and push the rest of the side so when apparently she gave me my Veteran discount after very annoyingly questioning the validity of my ID and my status I told her I won't be coming back and she loudly said I don't care and then she started a walk away and I said and I'll make sure to report this experience on the Internet and she literally yelled that I don't care again loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear her. I didn't even turn to look at her. I just walked out the door horrible person horrible experience questionable food unfortunately they're the only Asian restaurant in town I think but I definitely will not be going back to whatever again I'd rather drive to a place like Show Low where they have multiple options and get good quality Asian food instead of horrible service and bad questionable food. If you look at reviews, there's also reviews about people complaining about his food tasted off and plates didn't seem to be clean or had a soapy taste.
