I have something between an anxiety and rage attack anytime I need to go to this place. Always have had, since day one. More often than not they are out of stock on things, even the most basic things. The staff are always willing to offer you a rain check ticket, which means having to plan/psych myself up/deep breathe my way into yet a second visit? Swell. The overall attitude seems to completely match that of the surrounding area which is "Well, we're all that's here, so whatcha gonna do about it?" This place gets a two stars from me because of the friendliness of the sparse handful of overworked staff, as well as some of the weekly deals that are offered. However, the fact that you can log on to apply those deals to your account - but can't place an online order for the same things on that site is ridiculous to me. The fact that they pair with Instacart, but will not honor your individual deals or coupons when you order through Instacart is ridiculous to me. The one time that I tried to go through Instacart to order with them, they were out of literally everything that I ordered. And had no date or idea of when they would be back in stock with any of it. How any business is still operating with so little convenience factor for their customers, especially customers with special need, is beyond me. I'm an Instacart shopper and was having trouble finding the cut of meat my customer was looking for so I called to the butcher, who was cutting some meat, 4 times without being acknowledged, and after the 4th time he said something to the effect of "when I'm using the saw don't bother me." Well here's the thing, son. I'm a customer, If I ask you a question, you stop what you're doing and answer me. I don't give a crap about you and your saw, the customer is always right. So you basically admitted to ignoring me 4 times and gave me attitude to boot? You ain't talking to me that way again, boy. I didn't catch your name but this was Thursday, May 22, around 1-2 PM or so. That person needs to be taught how customer service works. read more

I love coming to a small town and still having small town experiences! Did you know that Bashas sells ice cream from the deli? Serving size, price, and taste;10 stars! Coffee is nice and strong! On their pizza... yummmmm, once again size, price, and taste; 10 stars! Worth the stop even if you don't need groceries! read more

Friends took us to Basha's Market the first time. They love it and since we were going by, decided to stop. Bashes is a fun market. It's in Taylor, AZ which is a bit of a drive for normal weekly shopping but we always stop when we're out that way. The store has different things than my regular store in town. I found my teas that I use for ice tea in the summer. So I bought a bunch! Their produce is also beautiful. They have a large produce department. Very important. There is a nice deli, cheese and meat department, too. They have all the things you could want. I will go back to Basha's the next time I go to town. I recommend stopping by and checking them out! read more

The most DELICIOUS fried chicken and super fast service, first time I've ever gotten it and the price just can't be beat, we got an 8 piece (2drums, 2wings, 2breasts, 2thighs) and it's was only 6.99. Fed me my husband and our son no problem. I highly recommend. And such a clean place too you aren't worried at all eating from this deli. read more

Just sent over $100. First time shopping here. Very nice store! Clean! All staff including manage are friendly and helpful. Bought fried chicken and chicken fingers that were fresh and tasty. Deli meats were great! We will make the journey from Holbrook to shop here. Get a Thank You Card for additional savings. It's free and saved us $35. read more

A good amount of the employees i've never had a problem with. But one of the managers, Debbie, really likes to make rude comments to you and call you a liar when you're not too. This manager also really likes to profile people and treat them like she's a superior figure or some sh*t read more

Racism is big here. The tall balled man kindly bagged the lady's groceries in front of me, but rudely scanned my items as fast as possible. He let them pile up on each other. My avocados were squished and my pizza box was smashed. He didn't even bag them I had to do it. The situation was not only rude but very uncomfortable for the customers behind me as well. We discovered this market in 2011 when we moved to Lakeside. It is a 30 minute drive from the house and we fell in love with the service that the store provides. We usually shop on Saturdays because that is when Danzeisen Milk is in stock. Their skim milk is rich and tasty and their whole milk has cream on top. Their chocolate milk is mmm mmm good. Alas their produce has been slipping as of late as well as their checkouts are being converted to self check out. Having said this it is still a treat for us to shop here. It isn't perfect but it is as close as you will get in the mountains. There was an earlier comment about it being a far drive. That is balderdash, If you live in the city it takes you longer to drive to a market in offensive traffic. If you aren't tied to the milk or specials shop on an off day. Tuesday is good for less traffic and fewer customers. Do yourself a favor and enjoy. read more

This place is so wonderful. The employees are always super helpful. The store is amazingly clean and well kept. I was so worried when Walmart came in across the street. Walmart is known worldwide for pushing smaller businesses out. So far this store has survived, and I'll do everything I can to support it. I really just popped by for a few Gatorade's at this Bashas. They close at 9 pm on a Friday. But this is Taylor, Arizona after all. I was able to grab my drinks for $1 each using my Bashas card. The store seemed clean and well put together. I'm not sure if this is the only grocery store in town, but it should have everything one needs here. It was too late to check out the deli. read more

When I moved to the area a few years back I used to go to this Bashas religiously but not anymore. For some reason there is an infectious bad attitude that runs through the butcher shop. I called yesterday (Sunday) and asked if they had any prime rib and was instructed to call back today (Monday). The person who answered the phone was really nice and transferred me to the butcher shop. From the moment the person picked up the phone he had a really bad attitude. I hung up the phone and called snowflake smoke house and butcher shop. They were really nice and had the prime rib I was looking for. The Bashas in Taylor has had issues with employees with bad attitudes. Not sure why but it's bad enough for me to stop shopping there. Over the past year or so I have gone there very rarely and my experience today is exactly why. It's too bad because the manager there is so nice and helpful. Maybe he needs to give his employees classes on customer service. read more

After driving 35 miles from my home the other day to buy some fresh salmon they had advertised on sale, I was informed they didn't have any and apparently hadn't received any for a while. This is not the first time I've gone to this store and ended up with a rain-check instead of the meat that I wanted to buy nor is it the first time they've been out of salmon when it was advertised on sale. Several employees have told me that the meat manager never orders sale product and I have every reason to believe it. They've advertised bacon, lobster tails, ribs and roasts and not even had one package to sell me when I showed up - no substitutes offered either! So I'm beginning to wonder why someone doesn't teach this manager how to order product that the company advertises? Why doesn't someone teach this manager that they're not allowed to "bait" customers with an ad, then "switch" those customers to something pricier, because they never had the original product in stock? Why is this person still employed as a manager in the meat department? Perhaps their last name is Basha? The store manager has to know that this person's incompetency is dragging down the reputation of the entire market. All the other departments always have their sale product front and center on the shelves. Stay away from this place when they advertise specials on meat, because most of the time the only "special" you're going to get is a rain-check and disappointment that the "sale" merchandise was never ordered to begin with. You'll be better off going to the IGA in Snowflake. At least you'll then have something to eat when you get home! read more
