I was watching Big Bang with my hubby on the telly. A commercial caused him to pause in mid-sentence. What was the object of his sudden interest? Pizza! Bacon wrapped pizza! So when he said it looked good and that he'd like to try it, I decided to indulge the love of my life with some artery-clogging fun. Little Caesar's had closed in downtown Saline, but a new franchise had opened at the dreaded Walmart mall on the east edge of town. I had vowed not to frequent this mall due to my dislike for The Evil Wallyworld Empire, but recently we had decided to try Oscar's sports bar and since then we've decided that the businesses on the periphery are not infused with evil by mere proximity. Initially I tried to order online, since I often find that there is much less confusion when I can see all the possibilities in front of me, but I could not find a way to do that. I seem to have a recollection of ordering online from Little Caesar's, but it's such an old memory that I could be wrong. So I looked up the number and asked for the pizza with the bacon wrapped 'round. I thought I'd have to choose toppings, so I started rattling off a few ... only to find that there is a pre-set set of stuff that goes on top the DEEP! DEEP! Dish Bacon Wrapped Crust pizza. OK, whatever you got, then. I asked how long it would be. It only takes twelve minutes for one of these to pop out the other side of the oven, so in about the time it took me to get there, it was ready for me. I noticed that they had grab 'n' go salads for $5. The place is small. There is only room for two chairs, to wait for your pizza, and no table. So it's not a sit down and eat it right there kind of place. I was a bit surprised that the pizza was not as huge as I was hoping. Only eight slices (for $12) but each has bacon on two sides of the crust. The bread is nearly 1" thick but it's very light. Not heavy at all. It is not overly salty and has none of the bitterness that you sometimes get from wheat flour. It is actually just a tiny hair sweet, due to the lack of saltiness. One of the better pizza crusts that I've had in a long time. The tomato sauce was OK. Maybe I would have wanted just a little more, but I'm a lycopene addict. And the meaty toppings were not quite enough. Hubby threw a few slices of lunch meat on each slice. I added a salad that I made at home and we dug into our carnivorous, cholesterol-laden feast. Hey, we both had the lipid panel this year already, and passed with flying colors. Not quite A-OK, but not Meh! either. We have satisfied our curiosity, Back to our fave!

The staff were super friendly and sat us right away, which set a good tone from the start. The environment was lively but still very family‑friendly, which I really appreciated. They have a solid variety of drinks and beers. I ordered a mojito, at first sip it tasted like water, but after stirring it up it turned out to be really well balanced and refreshing. For food, I had the lemon pepper wings and my husband had the buffalo wings. Both were perfectly cooked: crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and the sauces were spot on. Definitely some of the better wings we've had in a while. We'll definitely be going back! I've got my eye on the steak fries for next time.

Waitress seemed annoyed that we weren't ordering food right away. So, we put in an appetizer order while we waited. The Quesorizo was okay, but the portion was tiny. We put in our order before our sixth arrived as they told us what they wanted. The food started arriving fairly quickly which was good. But the waitress put in an order for a regular chicken tenders meal for one of my daughters instead of the one from the kid's menu. I ordered the "El Gordo" Burrito with beef. It was a lackluster item filled with regular ground beef that was not seasoned. I didn't finish it. My wife and oldest daughter got the buffalo chicken mac and cheese - which they normally love - but they said it was not very good today. And to top it all off, our waitress disappeared for about 10 minutes forcing us to go up to the bar to get drinks/refills and request a new set of silverware because my son dropped his on the ground. I do not plan on going here again.

First, happy hour is awesome: 4-5pm + last hour (so 8-9pm Sun-Wed and 9-10pm Thursday thru Saturday). It's half off: draft beers, sangria, starters, house cocktails and wines. Also, I stand by the opinion that DropTop is the BEST Detroit style pizza right now. However, their burgers are also FIRE - that olive burger? YUM! I also am happy to share that the little details from opening - like cold frosty glasses, cold plates for salad, from scratch dressings/sauces, etc. is still on-going which truly makes a difference to the overall experience. Service is always super friendly, helpful.

The burgers are easily the standout!! juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The shakes are AMAZING, and the pizza is different and big size, making it great for sharing. The fries are another win: crispy, well‑seasoned, and addictive. The environment is nice and cozy, which adds to the charm, though I do wish they had more tables. That said, they've optimized the experience by offering a separate pickup door, which makes takeout incredibly smooth and efficient... a smart move for a small business. What really elevates DropTop is the staff. They're super friendly, genuinely welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Their recommendations were spot on, and you can tell they care about the food and the customers. Overall, I'd absolutely come back. The burgers were my favorite, but honestly, everything I tried was solid.

We ordered 3 large cheesesteaks, 2 fries, and cheesesteak rolls, plus paid extra for add ons like cherry peppers on the side. Not only did they forget the extras entirely, but the "large" sandwiches were a joke. They used bigger buns and apparently decided that counted as a larger sandwich, because there was definitely not more meat. In fact, the meat barely covered HALF the bread. We literally have to cook extra meat at home just to turn these into actual cheesesteaks. And the cheesesteak rolls? The menu photo shows four halves. What showed up was ONE roll cut in half. That's it. The curly fries were the only thing remotely worth the money. Charging extra for every tiny add on while simultaneously skimping on the actual food (and the addons) is wild. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least put enough meat on the sandwich to justify calling it a cheesesteak.

The taste was excellent and the volume, huge. The bun was warm and fresh. I can't tolerate stale bread. The Beef steak sub with mushrooms and cheese (onions). Had a lot of beef. Almost too much. Maybe a mistake based on what I've been reading. Or that's the norm for here. It's a bit pricey, but it was a pretty big sub. I think we'll be back on our next romp through Ann Arbor. 10/25

I had the dinner combo of Dak Bok-um & California (8 pcs of California roll & grilled chicken with sautéed vegetables and rice. Marinated with Korean pear, soy sauce & garlic based sauce.). This was really good and a great value - huge portions!
