A culinary oasis for those brave souls who believe hot meat and melted cheese should always be within arm's reach--even if the nearest chair is bolted to the floor and covered in someone else's spilled Fanta. Charley's isn't here to impress you. Charley's is here because the laws of capitalism demanded that mall food have a second life. And what a life it is--reincarnated in this fuel-scented temple of compromise, where a man can contemplate his choices between pumps four and five. The experience? You order. You wait. You wonder why the speaker is yelling your number like it's a draft lottery. And then it arrives: a sandwich hot enough to burn your tongue, but not your soul. The bread is soft, the steak is chopped like it owes someone money, and the cheese is doing its best under the circumstances. There's a sense of dignity in that. This is road-trip cuisine in its purest form: not good, not bad--just there for you, like a friend who doesn't ask questions when you show up sad and greasy. Would I recommend it? Only to people I respect slightly less than I claim to. Would I return? Yes. Of course. I always do. Three stars. One for the meat, one for the nostalgia, and one for the fact that the bathroom wasn't locked.

The menu it's straight forward and plentiful for everyone's liking, so you're not overwhelmed with some crazy menu. I got the wing Wednesday special, $1 wings, so I got 5 spicy sweet chili and 5 buffalo. I also preferred 4 piece tender combo, it came with a side and drink, your side sauces and 5 ranches. All of this came out to a whopping.....$23!!! Crazy! Now let me tell you, these tenders are made with the resemblance of canes! It's crazy town, they are so flavorful and seasoned, there was nothing to complain about. The tots were super crispy and seasoned well. The wings were crunchy even with the drive home! I'd recommend sauce in the side if you have to drive more than 10mins home so they don't get soggy, that's just me though. Lastly, the service from the staff was fantastic, they had helped with whatever needs I had. Now, there's the drive thru or/and you can take it inside the small dining area to eat it fresh. For the price and food portions, I cannot simply avoid this establishment anymore, I will be a for sure revolving customer!

The chicken strips for the kids meals were crisp and cooked to perfection. Moist chicken and seasoned great! The regular wings were flavorful and massive! Unfortunately in the 10 minutes it took me to get home, the wings were soggy and lacked any texture. I think this is due to the cardboard containers used for take home orders, but if you toss them in an air fryer they crisp right back up. Would recommend eating in the outdoor dining area if you're going to try them out. Overall, we were happy customers and will be coming back again! Added a couple photos for the yelp page.

The place is a good size and they have outside seating. They have a bar area and TVs. We were greeted right away and when there was a change in shift and servers we were informed before he was done with his shift which was nice. The food was cooked fresh and we just had water to drink. We ordered some appetizers and it looked all good so we got the sampler. The onion rings were so good. Haven't enjoyed onion rings for years. It was fresh, flavorful & yummy. The while sampler was pretty good. My fave were the rings and mushrooms. We ordered wings because they have wings in their name, so we had to try that and they turned out to be very good. They were cooked to order, a good size and they drown it with your choice of sauce. I had the garlic parmesan, hubby had extra hot because they didn't have the wicked, and my so had the Jamaican jerk. We were all satisfied and very happy with what we ordered. The place smelled clean and sanitary when you came in and staff was friendly and on top of things. I recommend this spot and Im sure we'll visit again when in the area. I'm not sure why they get low rating but I think they did great and served excellent food.

Super casual, no pretentiousness just serious flavor. Let's talk wings... because yeah, this is where your wing obsession levels up. These aren't your typical pieces the drum and wing come together, and they're loaded. Pro tip: cap it at 3 pairs unless you're ready for a full-on food coma. Price might feel mid-to-high, but one bite and you'll forget you even cared. Deviled eggs? Just order them. One or two... and you'll get it. And the J.A.C. Burger messy, bold, and absolutely worth it. The kind of burger you don't even try to keep clean. Shoutout to Irissa for being an elite host dialed in recommendations both visits. That kind of consistency matters. Yeah... we're already planning round three.

Have came here about 8 times throughout the year. Have had nothing but great experiences…read more I know recently, the news article reported they are struggling to maintain afloat. I'll list pros & cons here and a few suggestions: Pros: -there are plenty of flavors, both their specialty and their 10+ sauce/rub options -indoor seating with a few TVs to watch sports Cons(which in my opinion are issues which can be solved): -because there's lots of flavor options, there is a major holdup in the kitchen. Especially if there's large groups of people eating lunch. We've spent over 45 minutes waiting for our food at times which has caused us to withhold going if we know we have a meeting scheduled after lunch. It's also cutting it close for the hourly workers who have to clock in-clock out for their lunch hour. -there is no "lunch menu", everything is à la carte which can make it a bit pricey. How to solve issues: -downsize menu options. Less items to cook means shorter wait times. -create a lunch menu. This would also speed up the process as well as create a fixed cost. Easily you can spend $20-$25 on lunch when you add fries and a drink. I love wings; this is the best wing spot in town hands down. There are things they can do to improve, we are all pulling for their success!

This prompted a spontaneous trip out here to support a local business. Location & Parking: It is definitely on a weird lot and there is not much space in the lot for parking. We parked across the street but heads up that business will come put a "Do not Park here" Post-It note on your window lol. (There are NO signs that say you can't) Ambiance: When you walk into the main dining room, to your left is the counter for pick up & to-go orders. They do have a nice enclosed outdoor patio that's has plenty of seating. Plenty of indoor seating too. Seating is open, so you can sit wherever you want. Food & Service: We were greeted fairly quickly and given menu and drinks. We ordered the 'Fried Pickles' for an appetizer, these were tasty! And after we received the pickles the service kind of started to lag, and our first server disappeared.. We finally ordered our wings with a new server, which I don't mind waiting but it seemed like a pretty long time. And now for the main course... We split the 'Hot Cheetos', did half 'Cajun Dry Rub' and half 'Citrus Buffalo'. I gotta say we were VERY underwhelmed with the Cheeto and Cajun flavoring. They picture SO well but the flavor is just not there. The Citrus one was the tastier of the 3. The saving grace for our meal was the fact that the actual chicken wing meat was delicious. We paid $40 for everything. Personally, I think they could be very successful in a different location & if they had a Chef tweak their flavor profiles just a tad to give it that depth. I'd hate to see a unique place like this go out of business completely but I understand how other people don't frequent this place.

There was a sign to seat yourselves. OK. We sat down and the bartender brought us menus. Us and a group of three were the only customers. Brought us waters. While looking at the menu, a server comes over and asks if we wanted appetizers or go straight to order. Straight to order, please. The husband ordered the brisket pot roast. It came with asparagus and what he thinks was puréed squash. I had the pecan chicken. Panko breaded with pecans and a bourbon sauce. Maple and bourbon were the flavor elements. Came with baked Mac and cheese and sliced slightly charred carrots. This was really good, as was the husbands plate. Warm Sourdough bread and butter is served with the meal. We split a Caesar salad. The salad was OK, the dressing was a little tart and served on the side. I'm taking a slice of chocolate cake to go. As I peek into the bag, it is a generous slice with strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream. Stay tuned. The restaurant is part of the Hillside Resort. Looks like a bunch of rooms. When we were about to leave a group of women came in and sat at the bar. I told the bartender we'd heard about them through Texas Eats. He said 'are they still showing that? That was about six chefs ago!' All righty then. I'd say it's worth a trip to try.

Pork chop and steak were not dry, but juicy with lots of flavor. I loved pot roast growing up , so I had to order it here. Although tasty, texture was a little chewy and tough. Also would have enjoyed a little more helping of vegetable/potato purée underneath the roast. The salmon dish looked fabulous, but was slightly salty. The sweet bun that accompanied each dish were delicious! Service was good. I'd come back to try the pork chop next time around.
