A great stop for a quick and cheap meal. I've been to Yaghi's twice now and the pizza has been pretty good both times! The staff is super helpful, the pizza slices are massive, and $10 gets you 2 slices and 2 drinks. Not bad! There's a TON on the menu, pasta, wings, and more, even though the shop is pretty small. There's about five or six bar seats by the window and a narrow walkway between them and the register, but that's about it. The place does however seem super popular for takeout judging by all the to-go orders they were preparing on both of my visits. Give Yaghi's a try if you're craving some pizza! I would come back here again to try the different pizza options. I thought the chicken pesto pizza was really unique because it tasted so different than a regular veggie lovers pizza you would get at Domino's or Pizza Hut. I really liked how Mediterranean it tasted with all the different herb flavorings, and I liked the thickness of the crust. The actual place itself is super small inside and is mainly designed to pickup your order. Service was good, and they gave me extra Parmesan and red chili flake packets when I asked. My only qualm was that I placed my pickup order for the pizza in advance and by the time I brought it home it was not even that warm anymore so I had to reheat it. We have heard a lot of good things about Yaghi's and wanted to give it a try so we decided to pick up some pepperoni rolls and a salad the other night for dinner. The online ordering and pickup experience was great (super fast and easy). When we got home we split up the large salad (great size to split for 2 people) and each grabbed a few rolls. The salad was pretty simple but was fresh and good quality. The rolls were still pretty warm despite our drive and the flavors were spot on. You walk in, there's a display of pizza, pick your slice wait 3 min for them to heat it and then you sit down at the limited seating on a stool and heat a hot fresh crispy NY authentic slice of pizza. Haven't been anywhere else in San Antonio that hits the vibe and gets the thinness crust sauce and flavor of pizza just right. The service isgreat too never had an issue You don't come here for take out ( you could but it's better fresh). You don't come here with a big group expecting seating and table side service. . I'm sure it's better if you ate there but even with a 10 min drive home the crust was still crunchy which is great. Great tasting pizza. The pizza rolls were also really good and HUGE. It is a little pricey but if you can get past that it's a good pizza. Sadly I'll say there are better pizzas for less money but it's up there in terms of taste and quality. Just not my number 1. Service is friendly. Salads are good. The slices are served piping hot. I ordered a pepperoni and olives slice and a Buffalo chicken slice and while both were good, they could've used a bit more sauce. It's hard to spot from the road but it's next to the HEB on Babcock and Huebner. The restaurant inside is small and has a windows for people watching and they have a small dining area outside if you don't mind eating outside in the heat. read more

The margherita pizza was delicious, but the little bread rolls in the Caesar salad may have been my favorite part of the meal. This is a pizzeria like those you'd find in NYC; pies on presentation to order by the slice and options to order entire pies from the kitchen. There's a few counter-style spots to sit or stand at and a handful of double-seater tables outside (technically this means they have a patio). Slices are thin, stay formed when folded and have that great crisp. I had the works which was awesome! Great variation of toppings and this didn't make it soggy or oily. Also had the buffalo chicken which to me tasted perfect; strips of chicken laid across a very made-from-scratch sauce. To me, it tasted a lot like a vodka sauce with a bit more kick. Big fan!! Came with a little cup of ranch for dipping cause it's buffalo chicken. Got both slices to go. The reheat was great and both slices per packaged together in a single box. No overlaying on each other and was surprised they were actually put in a box versus a plate. Made it easy to travel and eat. For less than $10 you get 2-slices and a canned soda. This place looked promising. As a Jersey Native and 110% pizza snob, I got really excited when I walked into this pizzeria. There was a faint nostalgic smell. I saw the pies available and was slightly disappointed. You could tell the slices had been sitting out for a while. Not to worry, I knew the guys would reheat the slices. Then I found out the price and felt even more disappointed. Each slice is about $3.50 - $4.00. I saved my judgment on the prices until I took a bite of the slice. I was given my reheated slice and got excited again. The weight, feel, look - this slice had it all at first touch, but then I took my bite. The flavor was absolutely lacking. The dough, the sauce, the toppings. Ugh. So disappointing. Which brings me to the price. This type of slice in NY/NJ would go for $1.50-$2.00. I'm not saying this is a crappy slice of pizza, but back home it would be considered a crappy slice of pizza and you'd be okay with that because you paid $1.50-$2.00 for it. Comparing this pizzeria to the other "NY style" pizzerias in San Antonio I'd have to say this one comes the closest. This one really got my hopes up, but it turned out just okay.
