I tried Epic Wings and honestly it just wasn't it. The food didn't sit well with me afterward. I'm not sure what it was but the fries had way too much sauce on them which made them hard to enjoy. The pizza stick was a letdown too, it was a little raw on the inside and had way too much cheese. The bread sticks were also pretty plain with very little flavor. On top of that the chicken in all the meals had a weird grainy texture which was pretty off putting. Overall it wasn't my favorite and I don't really see myself going back. read more

The manager was very helpful, and friendly. I ordered the sweet chili wings. The boneless wings were huge. The sauce was way to sweet and not enough heat. My son ordered a lemon pepper dry rub. The wings with the dry rub were very good! We both ate, (and were happily filled) for under thirty dollars. read more

The owner of this place is so sweet! He personally comes out of the kitchen to greet everyone that walks in and out of the restaurant. I even saw him helping the cooks cook the meals. I love a person of authority not afraid to get in there! The lady that took our order had an AirPod in and wasn't overly nice or helpful, even after telling her it was our first time. The food was FANTASTIC. This place deserves 5 stars when it can give us our order faster. It took like 35-45 minutes for everything pictured. Wasn't expecting that wait. I would definitley go back. The cinnabites were really good too. read more

We met the owner, Javier, he took our order. Super nice guy! Very friendly. The restaurant was super clean, and very modern. I've had Epic Wings in California before, this is the only location in Texas that exists at this time. It was a bit out of the way for me, since I don't live close, but definitely worth the drive. Get the breadsticks (they're huge & fresh) and wings (always good)! Fries were also delicious, it was my first time trying them. Everything was delicious and fresh! :-) I even had leftovers. We got the combo number 3 & 4, and a side of fries! The fries were like big in-n-out fries! Overall recommend eating here! I will definitely be back soon! :-) Thank you! read more

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to see such a nice, clean chicken restaurant. They have a plethora of flavors to choose from. My husband chose the medium Buffalo chicken tenders. We did not expect the size on them thangs!!! (I guess we've been burned badly on the thought of huge tenders!) But this trip has changed all sorrow! The ginormous size of the tenders did NOT disappoint, and the flavor was there! Nicely seasoned Buffalo sauce dressed the chicken well. My husband got 12 for 25$, but he could only eat three because they were so huge! I had to get in on the action and try it myself. I had one and it was full of fun!!! Even though it was medium Buffalo, I could take the heat! Also the very awesome cashier was eager to help and pointed out the handmade breadsticks and the mango habenero flavor! He really knew how to make his guests feel welcome! He needs a raise! His trainer was helping him as well and he caught on quickly. The chicken came in an aluminum tray and boy oh boy I can't wait to come back!!!! Come by this awesome place! Also, don't get thrown off; it's not Cane's. Our GPS took us back there towards Cane's and I was freaked at first. It had happened before where we put in one place and wound up at another place. So don't be deterred. That's why I took a picture of the front of the store. It exists! :) read more

I've had wings from so many places and I have a favorite spot that I won't mention here but this is now my second favorite place. The wings are tasty, not small, and we enjoyed the fries! We usually like to eat them on the spot but we took them home, needless to say everything was warm and tasted delicious. (15 min from my house) staff was also kind and able to help with flavors. The fries were not too crispy nor soggy and have enough y salt to enjoy. The restaurants dining area is clean and welcoming and conveniently in the medical area. We will definitely go again and ask for crispy wings on the habanero order. read more

Epic Wings - Chicken Wings Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

I visited this restaurant a few days ago and ordered a 48pc wings, 24 pc wings, and two side salads. Total $138 (very expensive considering the wings didn't come with fries). The salads consisted of lettuce, red onion, green peppers, and old/frozen cucumbers. I returned the salads due to quality and requested a refund. The cashier gave me two separate return receipts, I thought that was odd. I didn't say anything because I did return two salads and thought maybe that's the way the handle refunds. After waiting a couple of days for my credit, I only received credit for one salad (not both). After looking at my return receipts, the same transaction number is on both receipts (so I was only credited for one). $8.11 isn't a lot of money, but I just wanted to make everyone aware of their refund practices. Make sure you check your refund receipt when asking for a refund of an item. read more

Came here opening day a few months back. I got a chance to meet the business owner. He was one of the nicest caring people ive ever met. Since it was the first day, I didn't have my card only Apple Pay and he said it wasn't working so he gave me and the person I came with free food. I got the sweet chili bone in wings and when I say they were delicious , they were shmacking. Pack with flavor to a T. Not to mention the bread it came with was soft, warm and so scrumptious. Crazy thing I only visited this place once because I've been super busy. I'm bout to go back here on these days. The vibe was chill even though it was opening day. It still was nice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO VISIT THIS PLACE!! read more

The flavor of the wings was excellent. My chicken was a little chewy and room temperature by the time I received it. My wife's meal was warm and she really enjoyed it. Waiting over half an hour to receive cold food was my biggest issue. It wasn't terribly crowded, but the cashier/waitress/everything but the cook, was overworked. She was taking orders in person and via phone, all while also delivering the food to the tables. She was super friendly, but she needed help. I was hoping for better, but the service was friendly and the restaurant was clean at least. read more

I am from San Diego and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a wings n things, here, in TEXAS! I had to go. The owner greeted me and took my order. He was so kind and let me rant about how I have missed wings n things so much since I moved. I got a tender meal with breadsticks, and it was phenomenal! Everything tasted fresh and the wings were saucy and delicious. I even took a meal to go and drove it all the way back to Austin for my husband. He too said that the meal hit the spot! Overall, this place is amazing. If you know, you know! Nothing like it anywhere else. If you are a wing/tenders connoisseur- please check it out! read more

Food is absolutely fresh and good the wait staff was outstanding and attentive will be visiting the place more often will family and friends

Last minute choice after reading Yelp reviews for wings. Was an excellent choice. Owner happened to be there, came by introduced himself and gave us a little history. Explained that everything is made fresh and asked what we had ordered. We had not ordered the breadsticks, but it was explained they are baked fresh and told us he would bring us some to try. They did not disappoint. Had bone in wings with garlic parm. OMG were they good. Cooked perfectly, perfect amount of sauce. Meat just fell off the bone. This is a must try if you've never been. We will be back. read more

The place is amazing! I used to go to the original ones in San Diego and they are just the same! Got there at the right time when they opened and the place got packed! $1 wings! Order in person, great deal with the original Buffalo wing flavor! A definite drive to great deal. $10 make you holler! Javier the owner is a very friendly and accommodating guy. Loves to converse about his new restaurant and appetizing menu. I first tried these authentic wings in Dayton, Ohio. Went by a different name back then. So I was so delighted when I bit into these amazing wings. And all the wonderful memories came rushing back to me. Ordered 2 single meals one tender one wings, not much flavor on the breading, the bread was good, but it was empty inside and it kills the overall vibe of a place like this. The service was okay, I'm still confused about the menu and why fries don't come with anything, it's also quite pricey for what you get. The owner was running the register and he checked on us several times which did end up being a little bothersome as he stood and watched us eat for a couple minutes while trying to talk to us. He also kept all of his personal things with him up front which looked messy. Will be back for the bread though! read more

Lemon peppers were way better than Wingstop's. Not oily like most wing places. Just nice seasoned and crispy. Hand cut fries were good also. Guy working the front was friendly. Would definitely recommend. read more

So happy Epic Wings is here in San Antonio! I'm from SD so this place definitely helps remind me of home! Food is always fresh and customer service is fantastic! read more

So for context, I grew up eating at Epic Wings (originally it was Wings n Things) and it has always been my FAVORITE place for wings and especially breadsticks. I was soooo very excited that after moving from my homestate with plentiful Epic Wings to here that they finally opened an Epic Wings in SA and I could cure my garlic breadstick cravings! Unfortunately, my experience with this Epic Wings was disappointing. I ordered the garlic mild tendies meal. Right before it arrived, the staff told me they accidently made the parm tendies but could ladel the sauce on for me. Oh well, I thought, at least I get the tasty sauce. When the food did arrive, the sauce was just lack luster and the breadsticks looked...not like they ever had at all the other locations. The bread had this weird crackly texture and little flavor. The ends were very hard like croutons and there was no garlic like they usually have. When I bit into my first tendie, there were tiny bones in my mouth that I had to spit out?! I still am not sure if it was in the breading or the actual meat (which would be weird for a tender), but it was unpleasant and I didn't finish obviously. The other chicken was without bones luckily, but was very underwhelming and did not taste like it should. My last trip to an Epic was literally the night before I moved earlier this year, so this was a total bummer that nothing tasted like it usually did at the many other locations I've been to back home. I give 3 stars because it could have been worse and the staff was really kind. But I hope they get some retraining on what it's supposed to taste like, texture, flavor and all. I loooove Epic so please improve because I am a frequent flyer at this chain and love you guys! read more

As good as I remember them in SD. Javier is very welcoming and kind gentleman. My family and I are here at least once a week and would be here more often if the commute wasn't too long. For those leaving negative reviews who are familiar with the OG wings n things, give them a second chance. When they first open some of the flavors were off (ranch, breadsticks) which is normal as they are a new franchise in a new state. I can now tell you that all the flavors are there. I promise they won't disappoint. read more

I saw this place on a TikTok and at the time we didn't have one in Texas. I am so glad one opened up in San Antonio. The chicken was delicious! So tender and flavorful. The service shines from you walk in! The owner is at the front with a friendly face waiting to take your order and then runs to the back to ensure everything is coming out and being expo'd properly. Love that they have a huge patio and I was surprised over how much room there was inside as well. They have a small bar seating area with about 4 beers on tap, in my opinion perfect for a spot like this. Walk up service here and then they'll bring your food out to ya. It's perfect to bring a large group of kids and sit outside. Now let's get down to the food, MAN, is it good. It's fresh, never frozen (they don't have a freezers here, wild), breaded in house, sauces made in house as well. As wings are my fav food, blue cheese is a must and that's also made in house and is so darn good. The bread that comes with your meals is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I got my strips tossed in extra hot and lemon pepper. Such a good combo! Love that they pair their meals with both celery and carrots. Definitely coming back! Great food and even better service! Shout out to Javier the owner. read more

Came here with my girlfriend. Tabitha was an amazing server and made sure our needs were attended to in a timely manner. nothing was too quick or too low. The food was fresh And delicious. Atmosphere was good vibe and clean. Service was attentive and helpful. Great customer service.

The food was okay, last time I came I ordered a family pack of breadsticks and they were all sour. The OWNER gave me 1 buy one get one free meal and only gave me a month to redeem it. I hadn't noticed which would have been fine but he said he couldn't redeem it because the computer wouldn't take the code. Didn't like the way he spoke to me he was raising his voice, which was entirely unnecessary. Regardless of being the owner customer service should be his number one priority. Gave them their coupon back, definitely wont be going back :/ . read more
