Another week and another Pizza Thursday and this week we made our second trip to this Little Caesars since SIP started. As I stated in my pre-Covid review, when you order a fresh pie from them it's actually pretty great. Placing the order on their app and pick up keeps contact to a minimum. I feel secure in ordering from them. We went with our usual, the Extra Most Bestest pepperoni and the Italian cheese bread. Both were REALLY good. Hot, cheesey, perfectly cooked (not over or under baked). It was a really great meal. And affordable to boot! It's our go to easy night meal from before and now during the pandemic. After repeatedly seeing TV commercials advertising Little Caesars' new Extra Most Bestest Thin Crust Pizza, I decided to try my first Little Caesars pie in probably 20 years. I'm admittedly a bit of a pizza snob and routinely prefer getting my pies at the many fine independents or regional chains in the Michigan area. Little Caesars, which is headquartered right here in the Motor City, is the third-largest pizza chain in the USA behind the "Hut" and Domino's...not exactly what you'd call a pizza boutique experience. But after seeing the reviews from several Yelp friends patronizing and enjoying the "Pizza-Pizza" experience, I decided to jump on board and give it a whirl. I found several positive things that distinguished this pizza from so many others from the national chains. First, I loved that the pepperoni was spread all the way to the edge of the pie, just as the commercials claimed it would be. I added my usual onions and 'shrooms to the pie and they were also generously spread out to the very edge. I also really enjoyed the crispy and flaky crust. It was better than most thin crusts I've had and it was cooked perfectly to my liking. Finally, I also appreciated the fact that Little Caesars uses their own unique combo of Mozzarella and Muenster cheese...a distinction you won't find at this price point. While Little Caesars will never become my "go-to" for tomato pies, I was genuinely impressed with their product...my first from Little Caesars in two decades. Four stars for "Pizza-Pizza". read more

I have been going to this location since the 70s. They have always turned out a very nice product now we are in 2023 and the folks running this place now are extremely nice very efficient and friendly if something is not right about your pizza they will definitely make it right and most of the time they will give you, both pies! So... they play favorites here, and I'm apparently not one of them. The last time I was here, I ordered a hot-n-ready with sausage, crazy bread with marinara, and a family-size Greek salad. After my salad was made, my order (pizza included) sat on the counter for 15 minutes while my bf was in the car, which we left idling because we didn't expect to have to wait nearly that long. Just how did 15 minutes pass by? Well, a middle-aged man and his son stormed through the door (the son looked to be around 8 years old and was loud and obnoxious), and BOTH men working up front decided that they needed to take this guy's order and socialize with him. When I approached the front of the register to inquire about my order (including the pizza that had been sitting on the back counter and the bag that probably had my salad in the back right), neither men would acknowledge my existence and continually avoided eye contact. I was the ONLY other customer in the store at the time, and the food was just SITTING there. FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES. Eventually the other customer left with his order, and then the older of the two men saw the pizza in the back, read the list of other items on the attached sheet of paper, and grabbed the bag that I had noticed earlier. He handed me the items without an apology, NONE WHATSOEVER for leaving me waiting there awkwardly for so long while my pizza got cold. I came in the other day to pick up my Detroit style deep dish with pepperoni, and I was blown away with how friendly, courteous, and helpful the staff was. It was a busy Friday night, and I was expecting it to be like any other busy pizza chain with surly staff and looking dirty. It couldn't have been more different than my expectations, the gentleman behind the counter treated each guest like a personal friend, the staff offered to fix any errors or check on any orders people were waiting on, and it seemed like the crew was having a great time. Little Caesars Pizza is growing on me! I visited this store instead of the one by me to see whether the quality was homogeneous, and it seems to be so! I ordered a Hot-N-Ready Pepperoni Pizza for takeout, and paid ~$6 (a little under). For a whole pizza at that price, I honestly can't think of a better deal that balances volume and quality. If you're trying to get some late-night food with a few friends, and are 'ballin' on a budget,' this is a great option. If you want to splurge a little more for quality, some great pizza outfits also exist in downtown Ann Arbor. Overall, I'd pick Little Caesars over Domino's or Pizza Hut any day. read more

I wish I could give them a 0. This place is DISGUSTING. Been going here for YEARS, until yesterday. Called to order a pizza for my 4 year old so we could watch a movie and eat a pizza. He LOVES the stuffed crust pretzel pizza. So I picked him up from daycare, called up, made a joke about needing 57 pizzas (TOLD HIM I WAS KIDDING) started with my normal order, but he was already calling me a P***Y, a C**T, a MF'er, and many more words WHILE ON BLUETOOTH with my 4 year old listening. So after he gets done ranting, I'm just DUMBFOUNDED. So I called back, said "Guess you cant take a joke brother", went into my order, he again, went into calling me more and more names , and said if I wanted anything, I had to go to the store. So I KINDLY obliged. While on my way to the store, I called corporate, get to the store, tell them what happens, well the owner (or at least he identified himself as the owner). He came out, said they had 2 prank calls, well I dont care, his job is to take orders, not to talk like that to customers while 4 year olds are listening. Hes absolutely lucky my kids were with me, because I was UPSET to say the least. But the owner literally did nothing but hide the employee in the kitchen from me. So im going to continue to post this everywhere and advise everyone to take youre money and support local places now. Im going to continue to follow up with corporate as he has to abide by their rules as a franchisee. But the kid called himself Mike over the phone, and said he was the manager, I guarantee he wasnt the manager, and Im not even sure if his name was Mike. And maybe for all I know its the owners son, which would be an absolute disgrace to the company. But again, will continue to push this issue, and follow up on it til this is dealt with. read more

This caesar's seldom lets me down. They rarely run out of cheese hot and readies. The staff normally exceeds standards when it comes to friendly and professional. The only consistent thing that makes me sad is the fact that they have Pepsi products instead of coke. And I am aware that I hate one thing and love the exact same thing. I'm just branded. I walked in 15 minutes after opening and there were no pizzas and told it would be 8min. I saw two other people walk in and walk out because the case was empty. The employee told me they don't keep many Hot N Readys during the morning hours (11:15). I worked here for a few weeks until I got a better paying job, let me tell you a little about how this place operates.. 1. Employees are not only encouraged to smoke cigarettes inside the building, they are told not to go outside to smoke. Cigarettes are being smoked three feet away from where fresh dough is being stretched and panned, and approximately eight feet away from where your pizza is being sauced, cheesed, topped, cut, and boxed. 2. It is a common practice to store food directly on the floor in the walk-in cooler when they don't have enough shelf space. When mopping at the end of the night sometimes that same container is being touched by a filthy mop head. All food is to be stored at least six inches off the floor, so this a direct violation of health code. 3. When they run out of food service grade sanitizer for washing dishes, they will use a random amount of bleach in the water to sanitize the dishes. Some pans never get washed, others only twice weekly. Most dishes are being "washed" in filthy water that is hours old. Penny-pinching owners want to only order enough cleaning supplies to last about five days when they only receive these necessary supplies once per week. 4. Only one area in the store uses gloves for making your food, that area being the salad bar. Seldom do you see employees washing their hands after touching money, taking phone orders, picking trash off the floor, sneezing. 5. Employees play favorites -- they talk trash about paying customers as soon as they walk out or get off the phone, and pick and choose who to make wait longer and who to give good service to. If you piss off the veterans you will pay for it with your time and the quality of your product, no one person is safe unless you have a shoe-in with staff. 6. If you are thinking of working here because you saw the poorly worded ad on craigslist, proceed with extreme caution. If you like being treated like you are a complete fool because you ask questions and want to learn as much as possible, by all means, this is the place for you. If you like working extra hard to do the work of unmotivated, lazy co-workers and owners, this place is for you. If you ever plan on quitting, it's better to just plan on not receiving your final paychecks.. because you won't.. In summary, this pathetic joke of a Little Caesars, run by a family of pretentious half-wits, is beyond a waste of time and money. Go down the street to Cottage Inn, or Papa Johns and get quality product, good service, and know your food is handled safely and with care by people who take pride in their work. read more

Little Caesar's is, to be blunt, mediocre at best. You know exactly what you will get when you open the ugly, brown box. With that said, this location does provide fresh, hot pizza. However, each of the several times I have been here I have not had good experiences with the customer service. There is one cashier who seems to be always working the front register that needs to get a clue. When I walk in and order a "Hot and Ready" pizza I am expecting to pay and head my own way...quick and easy. This individual however, thinks its funny or something to try and get you to buy more and makes the transaction so incredibly awkward. There was one particular time I entered the store with a friend who was buying a pizza and I was buying the 2 liter to go with it separately. In today's day and age I use my debit card on everything, even if the transaction is $2.00 for a 2 liter. That is my choice and there is no issue with that. So as I went to pay with my card, he said, "Really? I are serious?", I said "Yes, I don't have any cash". He responded rudely with, "Dude you've gotta be kidding me, you couldn't have rung it up with your buddy's pizza? Now I have to re-ring this up and swipe your card, too!?". I responded with, "YES, THAT IS YOUR JOB". I angrily left the store and have never (and will never until this doofus is gone) return. I hate when employees act this way. I am extremely dissapointed in this location. Their customer service is terrible, the staff are yelling at eachother what to do. You have customers in a hurry being told to hold on because no one is in the front of the store. And on top of it, the pizza looks terrible and cannot even be cut into equal pieces. I have had a lot of hot n ready's in my day and safe to say I've given this place a fair shot. Every pizza I have got here has been over cooked, cold, not cut equally, and hasn't been nearly as delicious as other franchises. In addiction they charge more then $5 +tax for the deal. TERRIBLE!!! This Little Caesars location gets delivery orders wrong time after time, and are no help when you call and ask them to fix your order. They lie and claim that your receipt is wrong and basically claim that there's nothing they can do and will not refund your money when they are the ones at fault. I ordered the tuna sandwich. What I got for my five dollars was tuna in name only, about an eighth of an inch spread on one surface of the bread. The rest was a thick wad of iceberg lettuce plus the standard-issue fast food "tomato" (the kind engineered more for its capacity to bounce successfully off a truck than to reproduce the taste of the real product). It wasn't bad mind you, or flatly fraudulent, just an inflated, borderline-fraudulent disappointment. Maybe the bottom line is not to go for the sandwiches at a pizza place best known (apparently) for the favorable price to volume ratio in its named product. I can't really comment on the pizza, I'm sure I've ordered take out or fast food less than ten times in the last 15 years. For that matter, maybe what I got represents the current state of the art in tuna subs as well, given the general rule that everything always gets worse. Let's hope not. read more
