Small complaint....I ordered a pizza over the phone and the guy was really nice however, once I arrived and picked up my pizza and got home to eat it.... It was the wrong pizza not that big of a deal this time since the wrong order ended up just being a cheese pizza and everyone was a bit disappointed but it was still okay for our tastes buds I like the food but make sure to check your pizzas before leaving.

Pretzel crust pizza was delish. Get the jalapeño cheese sauce to dip the crust in. Great value for the price. Order online for easy in store pick up

Heny refused to give me my pizza that I ordered to pick up for today! I showed him the email that they legit sent me that my pizza was ready for pick up he saw it and told me that's not possible he refused me many times and tbh I'm so pissed

Special The Batman calzone pizza $7.99 ~ very tasty

Pre-order through their app and you'll not only arrive to pizza ready to go, but also usually better deals! This location has one of those fancy schmancy heating Hot & Ready Zone so you can just grab your pizza and roll out. This weekend they have a special for the new The Batman movie. A calzone pizza for $7.99 in the shape of a bat. Adorable, cool and a good deal! Recommended. My friend and I also had their cheesy bread, which never disappoints. The garlic parmesan wings are also very good but SO much garlic, sauce and cheese. I loved that plus used the excess sauce to dip the cheesy bread in. But for others it might be too much. This location can get quite busy, is pretty small and usually has just one person working. They do have their own parking lot though and that's always appreciated.

Manager is a real jerk. He got my order wrong then told me it was my fault. He explained I ordered a cheese pizza but my pizza had pepperoni on it. But I ordered a supreme pizza. These people are real idiots. Stay away. I also found a hair on my pizza. It's disgusting.

Over the past two days I've received thousands of emails asking if the pretzel crust at LC is worth a try. Not to worry fans- I have heard your voice and have an answer to your questions. YES. The crust would make even Snyder's of Hanover proud. The pizza is solid, and further enhanced by the fact it costs $6 and is ready in as many minutes. What I would NOT recommend are the chicken wings. If you a really curious as to what they taste/feel like, take a bite out of a microwaved sponge soaked in barbeque sauce. The only earthly substance squishier and slimier than the "meat" is the fleshy tissue (presumably an attempt to emulate skin?) that it is wrapped in. Perhaps the most concerning part is that the bucket of sloppy meat products they are passing off as wings cost more than the pizza. Ultimately, however, I think the blame falls on me. Shame on me for ordering $8 wings from LC. Since I should have known better, they still get 4 stars.

I've ordered from this place twice and both times have received terrible pizzas! The first time, I ordered the pretzel crust pizza, and the crust was super undercooked (literally white crust). The second time, today, I ordered a stuffed crust pepperoni to be delivered. It came all messed up, with maybe 4 slices salvageable? This place can't seem to get things right! I called DoorDash since they delivered it and got a refund, but wow!

Pizza Portal is definitely a cool concept.
    Rion H.

Did the pizza portal and don't regret it. Pretty cool concept for pickup, highly suggest it. If you are ordering pizza from corporate chain, you know what to expect as far as ingredients go. $9 for half cheese and half 4 meat. Pizza was cooked all the way through which sometimes doesn't happen at places like this and it was prefect for $9. Hopefully no bubble guts tho! Fingers crossed!

I ordered the chicken strips with fries, while my partner ordered a two-piece chicken dinner with macaroni salad and spicy rice. Although we had to wait a little while for the food, it arrived hot. We both agreed that it was some of the best fast-food fried chicken we had ever eaten. The chicken was moist and the batter was crispy. My fries were good, and my partner's macaroni salad and spicy rice were both flavorful. We especially loved the biscuit. I also couldn't help noticing that although the dining room feels like something of a relic, it is very well maintained. There were no dirty tables and no trash on the floor. I was genuinely shocked when the cashier came out to ask how everything was and whether we needed anything else. Most fast-food chains seem determined to eliminate as much human interaction as possible. Pioneer Chicken was a refreshing reminder that fast food can still be friendly, clean and satisfying. Pioneer Chicken is a winner in my book!

I ordered the fries which were actually pretty good. They were definitely seasoned, but they weren't heavily in taste sense. They had something for me to drink and it went really well with a meal actually. I'm glad that I could say that I enjoyed this place from beginning to end. If it's your first time visiting Sampa, you have to be open minded towards the concept itself. Yes, the dishes here are smaller in portion and costs more than your typical fast casual spot. All the servers here are attentive and offer to help with what to order if you're unsure. For dinner, the Crispy Pasta is their take on crispy pata but served with spinach tagliatelle. The crab fat fried rice is a no brainer and depending on the night you come, I highly recommend the Sinigang xiaolongbao special. In a not very obvious area of DTLA, next to Urth Cafe but no other restaurants. We didn't have reservations so we had the option of sitting at the bar or following the waitress to a back room area instead of the front room that is visible to everyone. My son is a minor, so to the back we went! Seriously, the closer we got to the back room the more I felt I had been cast in "The Chef." Scary! Lol! The back room is black. Blackout black! Black tablecloths, walls, chairs, dark, low light. Very luxurious and open space. Which - because it wasn't full at the time - felt a bit like being in the film, The Menu." A bit too upscale and empty to feel comfortable. More guests arrived later, a large table, so that was more comforting. The food: Recommended *Kara Kara Tamales: braised oxtail with a peanut butter sauce. Wow! The taste was wonderful! Hard to explain but Filipino/African food meets Latin food. It was on the "shared plate" menu, which to me means it will be a lot. But the 2 tamales were not very big. Still, they were so rich that the 2 really were sufficient to share. Quite filling. I couldn't get enough of the sauce! *Crab fried rice: Very tasty and generous portion. Plenty share! Not recommended: The street eats menu. Now, this is what pulled us in - the sights and smells of the food being grilled outside the restaurant. Most of which was on this meme. Like a tasting menu. But for price to portion ratio, it simply isn't worth it. I ordered the skirt steak. 4 oz, cut in half. Cooked down to what looked like .5 oz! Each on a toothpick sitting in a paper plate (or maybe it was cupcake holder?) IDK. I just know it wasn't a good presentation and the taste wasn't memorable. Regular. More grill smell than taste. Not at all worth $8. Service: Really nice. And mostly good. Though they did fail short by (1) Using only small appetizer size plates and (2) Not bringing a fresh plate to eat the crab fried rice on after the peanut butter sauce laced tamale appetizer was eaten. The server brought the fried rice, but didn't bother to give us fresh plates (nor silverware). My son was mortified when I grabbed a plate from one of the empty tables! (Teenager energy on full effect). But after initial attentive service, the variety of different servers whizzing by didn't stop to ask if we needed anything. And I sat waiting at least 8 minutes staring at the rice. I assured my young man that the servers would be fine with me getting another plate to save them from having to. And once I did, he suddenly started eating from my plate of my peanut butter free fried rice. And of course, when a server did attend to us and I let her know, she was glad I took matters into my own hands instead of not eating for 15 minutes. Thoughts: Go for dinner, and order from the full dinner menu, skip the skimpy street eats menu. With reservations you can sit in the main restaurant area that has some view to the outdoors. Without it - back to the black room you go! Know that it will be expensive. And it will be original. Not sure I'll go back. It's very "special occasion" upscale dining. But If I do it'll be with reservations. The meal was memorable and worth experiencing.
