The service is great The best part is you can call your order in I'm about 20 miles away and after I order when I get there it's fresh and hot very friendly service read more

Fast service. The huckleberry milkshakes were delicious. Heads up, you have to call in the order from the parking lot.

Fun place. Good food. Good value. You should go and try it out. Service was decent a little slow in peak months but not bad. read more

I never go to/through Wallowa without stopping at the Little Bear. I love their burgers and waffle fries. During the pandemic, they stayed open by taking phone orders only and brought it out to you, and that does continue. Don't let that discourage you, I think you get your yummy food even faster. read more

Ordering was odd we walked up to the window and we were told if we wanted to order we would need to call. So we walked back the truck and called in our order the owner was very friendly and helpful she took our order, cooked it, then brought it out to our truck with the correct change. All in all was good experience and the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings was fantastic. My buddy had the king burger and said it was amazing and his only complaint was the lack of napkins. : ) read more

The ordering system is weird you have to call them to place a order. But other than that the food was pretty good and worth the wait. Although the seating situation could use some work the tables were dirty most likely never cleaned. read more

Perfect stop in this small town right off the highway! Large menu, wonderful customer service, and delicious food. We stop here every time we're in the area. I'm a huge fan of the crinkle cut fries and fry sauce. The calling in your order thing is different, but they get things done quickly and run, yes RUN, your food out to your car. The staff really hustle and are so kind. Definitely stop here, even if just for snacks and a milkshake for the road read more

After we moved into town, we were constantly told that we needed to try this place. Everytime we drove past, there was always a line of people lined up outside. I finally had the chance to try it with my son and I wasn't disappointed. My son had the King burger with Fries and I had the Chicken Fajita supreme. The Fajita supreme means it has mushrooms with it. It was huge and came wrapped up burrito style. The King Burger was the largest burger with 3 patties. My teenage son was unable to finish it. I also got their Oregon Berry shake which had a mixture of blueberries, huckleberries, marionberries, and blackberries (I think. Ha ha ha). It was very good. The fruit was fresh and had some whole berries at the bottom. Seating is outside. read more

Love this little gem in Wallowa! The servers are awesome and always friendly. The burgers, fries and soft serve are divine!

Just a small food spot in Wallowa but worth the stop as they are doing good drive in food the right way. Greeted by friendly service and a small town feel with great tasting food. I had the Mushroom Swiss Burger with a large fry. The burger was excellently cooked on a fresh corn meal bun that was toasted with just the right amount of toppings. Was served their unique BBQ fries that were delicious. And if that wasn't enough you can finish off with a hand made milk shake that feels like it came right from the farm. So fresh so good, next time your around this is a must stop for some good food. read more

We stopped by on our way through town, the burgers were awesome, the fried zucchini and onion rings and mushrooms were great too. It's a nice little place and we spent some time chatting with the owner. Wonderful experience. read more

This place is a local staple. The food is good. Little Bear is a treasured local business in Wallowa. The owner is second generation. Her amazing kindness has built a business serving good food to the local people. With patience and understanding call this number 541-886-3161. You order your food, pay for your food, and the food will be brought to your vehicle. Please be kind. Please use your manners. Generation's of families have stopped and eaten Little Bear food. Parents have bribed their kids and grandkids with a Clown Cone made with the spectacular ice cream, also made in house. Wallowa is a small town and we don't have time for rude and disrespectful behavior. If you want rude and disrespectful behavior go someplace else. Preferably leaving the county. Little Bear is a seasonal restaurant. So if you missed out, there is alway's next year. The next town is Lostine 8.1 miles away. If the businesses are open you will have a couple places to eat. The LT serves up BBQ that I haven't had the chance to try. The owners are developing their relationship in the small town community. Just down the road is M. Crow. M.Crow has pizza, salads, and burgers we are told once a week. The also brew their own beer there. Some NYC expertise with a small town attitude. They have a small selection of groceries, just in case you forgot something on your way camping up the Lostine River. When you are headed in that direction you will see the Blue Banana Coffee shop. Open at 6 am with good drinks and baked goods. Open every day except for Sunday.1 Now you might be wondering why I'm sharing other Food businesses( yes coffee is food). I am my brothers keeper. When he succeeds so shall we all. Lifting up someone, something, or some place into the light. It doesn't cover you darkness. Helping each other and cheering each others businesses on is better for the community overall. The next time you plan to drive through our little town, call ahead and Little Bear might feed you. read more

Little Bear Drive-In - Cub burger. The bun was AMAZING! - American Near Me - Wallowa, Oregon

We are in town from Massachusetts. My Husband and 9 year old twin sons were on a 3 day 24 mile hike and when they came back today they were sore, happy and HUNGRY! We went to the Little Bear Drive-In and it was outstanding in every way. The food was delicious and it was done very quickly. We had burgers, fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, the BLT and the popcorn chicken dinner. All of it was outstanding. In fact, I have to say that the mozzarella sticks were the best I every had and I have sampled a few in my day. I would like to especially thank the very kind server who brought our order. Thank you for your kindness to us, stopping to chat with us, and the special gift your shared with my children. You made a real difference in our day and in fact in our vacation. Thank you so very much! read more

Wish I would have read a couple reviews explaining how I overwhelming rude and ungrateful these people are to have patrons. I honest think they are attempting to drive away customers. Would never return and would recommend others stay far away! read more

Terrible service and simply just pathetic rudeness from the workers. This was our first time ever eating here and will never come back. I recommend Heavenly's Burger in Enterprise or C-Zers in Elgin instead!! Great trustworthy people run those businesses and have much better food! read more

Just stopped at this place for ice cream, so first of all you have to call and place your order even though your on property. So we called to place our ice cream order and the lady on the phone got an attitude because we couldn't hear her. Once that happened we didn't order and left. Don't bring your attitude to work. Won't be coming here again! read more

The grass fed beef burgers are wonderful. The beef patties were large enough I couldn't eat all of my burger. You don't see waffle fries much anymore but they have them here. I dipped them in their yummy fry sauce. Glad we found this place and plan to go back. read more

Best burgers and shakes in Wallowa County. Unlike other drive-ins who have had to close due to Covid, Little Bear has figured out a way to serve their customers well. read more

Well I'm passing through town, not a lot of choices so I stopped at this little drive through burger joint. Burgers were on a fresh tasty bun, meat was not a premise formed patty. It was hot and just right with onion rings and fries. You can eat at some tables outside, I'd recommend this place to locals or passers by. read more

Wow. What an unpleasant experience. The calling on the phone to order from someone standing behind the window 4 feet away is dumb. Grumpy lady on the phone said she couldn't hear me. Well maybe open up the window. I asked a couple simple questions about the menu and was met with a bothersome tone. Bathroom was locked. I asked the grumpy lady if I could use the bathroom to wash my hands before I ate, she said no. They don't let customers use the bathroom anymore. The outside tables haven't been cleaned in years. Bird shit, layers of grease and spilled soda and food cover the tables. Food was mid. Atmosphere and attitude loses any return visit for me. I wished I'd read the reviews of others with almost the same experience. I'll pass the word so others aren't disappointed too. The only garbage to throw away your trash is down the alley. A nice customer did inform me that if I wanted to wash my hands before I ate, I could go two blocks away to the city park where they had clean bathrooms. read more

I wasn't expecting much but the cheeseburger I had was the best I've eaten in a long while (and I've had a lot in the Portland area)-hand formed patty, awesome roll, great sauce...yum! Good onion rings and tots too. The wait time is dang too long and the staff was friendly. We will stop here again if in the area. read more

One of the best hamburgers I have ever had! The berry milkshake was delicious as well. I highly recommend stopping in!

We've driven by here annually for years on our way to the lake, but for some reason we haven't stopped. FINALLY we did stop, because it was lunchtime on our trip back to Portland and we always like checking out a new place. It was a busy, warm Sunday afternoon but the cashier was friendly and efficient. We only ordered burgers and they were excellent. Fresh, hot, and not greasy. The condiments were just the way we like them with lots of crunchy lettuce. We'll definitely be back on our future trips to the Wallowas. read more

The food here my family has enjoyed for quite some time on our way to family events and the like in the Wallowa Valley, with generous portions and good ice cream. I am writing this review as my father and I pulled in today to grab a burger while taking a break from our elk hunt and though we read "open from 11-7" outside, it said closed. We decided to wait as it just turned 11, and a woman pulled in around 11:05. My father pulled forward and politely asked if she knew if the drive-in would today, and we were greeting with an angry glare, door slam, and a shout "Um, yea that's why I parked RIGHT THERE". She stomped off and shook her head. My father smiled and said "thank you" and pulled away. A woman at the local grocery store stated that this is typical behavior because she is "allowed to get away with it". I am not sorry to say they have lost our business, and may I suggest being polite to customers that were in no means causing you harm or stress, but wanted a bite to eat. read more

simply based on my ice cream experience. .. It's never good to nickel and dime you're customers. It only makes sense if you give your customer an ice cream cone that is falling over you would provide them with a cup so ensure they do not lose their come. Nope here it costs an extra .25 for a cup. Crazy!!!! read more

The ice cream cones are huge!! Our favorite place to stop on your way to Wallowa Lake.

That was a solid milkshake! LOTS of flavor options and made the way they should be - thick and slow. The large was bigger than expected! We didn't try the other food but it looked good and prices were reasonable. Worth a stop if you're passing through. read more

Wow! This is a seriously an awesome burger. I usually do not like hamburger buns but these buns were so fluffy and did not detract from the burger in any way. I paid the extra for the grass fed beef and it was so worth it. the beef was extremely tasty. The bacon had good flavor too. I couldn't believe I ate the whole thing! I will definitely eat here again. read more

I have been in Wallowa almost 2 weeks and have been by for lunch quite a few times. Each burger gets better and I ask the kid on the grill to make me something special he definitely delivered. I recommend you take it as it is. It's a small business in a town of 800 people in a county of about 7,000 people. It's not a get rich quick scheme where they are trying to fleece you. I got a small bag of Lays potato chips with each burger I got. I do not need potato chips... I was full each time I finished my burger. This also is not a McDonald's your bathroom at home may be bigger than their kitchen. There has always been 2 people here one 2 take orders and one to cook so don't expect fast food turn around on your order. Things cost money so yeah if you just need a cup it's going to cost you .25 cents I'm sure they don't get things for free so neither should you. I would love to come back some day and see that they are still slinging burgers so keep buying them! read more
