My twin granddaughters love Little Artists! They'd go every day if they could. They get to choose their own subject from a wide range of sample pictures, and there's always at least one kind and helpful teacher who spends the whole time observing, making suggestions and teaching skills. My girls have grown so fast into accomplished little artists! The price is more than reasonable for what you get. Makeup classes are available for when the child is sick (give 2 hours notice) or on vacation. You can also do drop-in classes if you call ahead. I highly recommend Little Artists for being that rare kids' class that actually works to impart skills. read more

I had given this place a bad review. Based on cookie cutter art and personality less staff. My twins attended a few years ago. Some how they re set their yelp account and my review was deleted because I mentioned another art studio as being better. I would never call what they do art! My daughter absolutely loves her classes here. She looks forward to every Thursday and to get one step closer to finishing every picture. I am giving this place 1 star due to their lack of customer service. The website does not provide all the information you need. They want you to call them to schedule a trial class or to get more information. I do just that... But it took several days to receive a call back. The call went to voice mail and the man gave some information never stating how much the class cost or how to go in and sign up. I called back immediately just to get yet another voice mail. It's been 1.5 weeks and no call back. I'm done trying with this company. Please provide a better sign up process for your business! read more

Our 10-year-old son has attended classes here for three years. It is definitely his creative "happy place" and he can't wait to go every week. They have nurtured his natural talent and helped him grow as an artist by leaps and bounds each month. We continue to be amazed by the work he is able to do under their direction. I thought what I felt from the staff was maybe all in my head, but after reading the other comments I know now it wasn't! We spent 10 minutes in the studio, attempting a trial class. My 5 yr old was excited, my 3 yr old was being rambunctious and touching EVERYTHING. I was doing my best to redirect her. Amanda & Brian were neither warm or welcoming, didn't introduce themselves or act friendly towards my kids, & the only time they spoke in those 10 mins was to correct them, even though I was standing right there. Maybe I misunderstood the intensity of the program?? Or maybe it's not appropriate for small children? In any event, we left & won't be going back. read more

My daughter has been going to this studio for well over a year. They work with her through her vision problems and help her produce some really good art for a child her age. They even helped her draw a picture of a pet that had passed away. Not only did this help her process that event, she now has a great picture of a beloved pet, that she drew herself. As for the staff, they are great. Sit in the waiting room while your child is working. You can hear the children having fun. You can hear how much Mr. Brian and Miss Katie enjoy working with the kids. And the one time I did have an issue, I brought it to the attention of the staff and it was handled right away. This studio is pleasant, enjoyable, and a great outlet for little ones to express creativity. This is one of the best activities I have put my daughter in. read more

I've taken my daughter and a few other kids to the San Carlos location over the past several years. My daughter has autism and requires extra attention and support. She also has a big interest in drawing and really is excited each week to attend these classes. Brian and Amanda and the other instructors are absolutely amazing in how they interact with the kids and are able to determine what level of instruction and support each child needs in order to produce some pretty incredible drawings. You should see the dozens of drawings on the walls from many different students over the years. My daughter has developed her drawing talent and progressed to an amazing level that my wife and I were always hopeful that she would grow into and she's very confident in her ability to draw anything now. We know that she never would have achieved this level of skill without such wonderful school and teaching staff. Isn't it funny how some people come to a business just one time and they don't like the class as much as they expected to or their kids are complete brats and they immediately blame the business or other people rather than themselves. The world would be a much better place if they viewed the experience in an adult fashion and didn't chose to spend their negative energy bashing such a wonderful place. My wife and I highly recommend the Little Artists school and especially love the location in San Carlos with Brian, Amanda, and a lot of very happy parents and kids! :) read more

My daughter has been attending here every Saturday for months. She loves it! They really nurture her creativity and she comes home with great drawings every couple of weeks. We framed some and gave them as Christmas gifts last year to all the grandparents...it was a win-win! She has progressed from pastels, to crayons, to colored pencils and there's much more ahead. Mr. Bryan is awesome and all the staff is always super sweet to her. We feel totally secure leaving her there for her hour long class. She is always excited when Saturday comes around. This place is great for the budding artist or just any child who wants to do something to break up the typical sports activities. If you're hesitant because it seems expensive...they run specials a lot and either way, it's worth it. We love Little Artists!! read more

I wrote a review on Little Artists over 5 years ago and my opinion has never changed. This studio and the instructors are caring gifted people. They form meaningful supportive relationships with the students and encourage art in all its forms. The student will grow and learn, but it's not magic. Everything worthwhile takes time and dedication. My opinion is that the students at the studio have fun and learn. They take pride in their accomplishments and they grow. Bringing my son to Little Artists 8 years ago was a good decision. He still enjoys it. He still paints. What more could I want? read more

Our son, Noah, was blessed with the gift, and we saw it early on. Because schools today offer little in the way of art, my husband and I found this Little Artists Studio near our home in Fletcher Hills to help him develop his talent. He LOVED going to class and learning from his teachers including Steve, the owner. Everyone was so nice to us but more importantly to both our sons who attended at that time. They were always so patient and gave encouraging and constructive criticism, which is after all how one learns to stretch their abilities. Of course Noah had other committments, be it school, family obligations, and little league but Little Artists has a great policy for making up classes and switching to a different day, as long as there is room, so that gave us several options. Noah would never, NOT want to go to his drawing/painting class. As the years passed, Noah would bring in a special piece he wanted to work on. The Little Artists teachers were always enthusiastic and eager to help Noah with his piece. Noah spent 11 years at the Little Artists studio starting in elementary school all the way through high school, and is continuing on with with Art school. I recommend Little Artists to my friends and anyone with young children! read more

My 11-year-old daughter has been taking art lessons at Little Artists for 5 to 6 years. She has a natural talent for it but neither my husband nor I have any artistic abilities. We wanted her to be in a place where she could learn the skills to advance. She gets to go through the different mediums one at a time and learn how to do each one properly. Instructors are very kind and patient and their schedule is easy to work with when you need to do a make up sometime other than your normal session. I highly recommend checking it out. read more
