I'm Thankful for the teachings and insights I have received from Unarius and its students…read more Each time I visit, I feel uplifted and that I am participating in creating my positive future. From discussing topics with the students, taking creativity workshops and participating in the classes and events, I am gathering tools and experiences that help me to grow and hopefully help in creating a better Earth for us all. I think the creativity workshops are probably the best way to visit especially if you can tie it with a tour. It would be a great first introduction. Besides the workshops, I really love the Crystal Flame Ceremony in December. My first actual visit (I've been aware of Unarius for years) was a visit during business hours. We spent an hour talking with Billie who has painted some of the most well known paintings of Unarius. Each time I visit now I can feel the positive energy and excitement building. Stop in and ask questions. They are always willing to talk. There are a ton of books and dvds and everyone's favorite, the starship pin!

I was very nicely welcomed, everybody from the group was very generous and helpful, they've kindly introduced me to their spiritual teaching, but at the same time they've gave me a lot of time and space to discover things at my own pace. I ended up buying quite a few books which are great help if one wants to follow online classes. What I liked the most is that they put a lot of emphasis on creative expression. I've tried their art classes and also saw a performance of their choir. Both things were very inspiring and they helped me get a deeper understanding into my own artistic practice. Visiting the Unarius centre is a must!

Vince's knowledge and expertise in psycho-educational assessment, the IEP process, and…read morecollaborating with school teams is an incredible asset. Being a school psychologist who still also works in public education gives him a "read through the lines" perspective on your child's situation, and positions him to be incredibly effective both advocating for your child and guiding parents through the process.

We do not recommend TEC "advocacy"! My wife and I recently hired TEC and Vincent Tarantino for our…read moreson with autism. We simply wanted to understand the class options for our boy. We found Vincent to not be very knowledgeable and he did not come close to presenting the level of expertise one would expect from an "advocate", especially given the proposed "expertise" and him being a "former School Psychologist" that he presents on the website, in phone calls, meetings, etc. An important point of deception (the hidden truth coming out after a few mtgs and numerous reschedules he made last minute), is that he is a CURRENT School Psychologist in San Dieguito Union HS District. He hid this from us, as he does on his website. I am quite sure that his curent employer would frown on what he does in other san diego districts. I wonder if he has actually ethically informed them when he is working as an advocate on their dime during their school hours. From the start, we found that it is hard for him to attend IEP meetings, and of course we found out later that this is why, he is serving as the opposite role (to a parent advocate) in his current district. As a business owner myself, I find this, along with several other experiences, as a strong identifier of him as an unprofessional "advocate". In addition, in our meeting with my child's school, Vincent was disrespectful, seemingly angry, and unprofessional. He even yelled at the team, unacceptable as a "professional". He apologized to the team and us, but after the meeting, did not excuse his behavior. It was highly uncalled for and we instantly fired him, even though we were 4 meetings in (with a 5th being scheduled) with our son's iep. We were not interested in his disrespectful unprofessional behavior that would only serve to hurt our son and his educational team. How dare he act this way, especially as a CURRENT Educator. Further he yelled about something we did not condone, threatening to make the district pay for an"independent evaluation", what he called an IEE (even though we personally agreed with the district's assessments and Vincent even said later he personally agreed with their assessment, but that he was trying to force his way). In our 1st iep he even misquoted one of the assessments they had done that I looked up later. Perhaps it's about money deep down for Vincent. The advocacy needs to be based on educated and knowledgeable info, this was tremendously lacking from this business. Following the meeting, we fired Vincent and warn all against him. We worked with the school without him and things were 100 times better than with him. Message us if you want recommendations on other more professional individuals we have found.

He gives this class 5 stars, especially the students he was so happy to see. And the disruptions happy kids cause in classrooms is totally not ideal for everyone trying to learn, and most importantly, the teacher trying to teach. Somewhere, over the rainbow, there is a happy medium where a guy who truly does want to learn, can do just that. Occasionally he needs help and guidance to do so. And because no other guides, an IEP, or any special needs kids are not accommodated or welcome, we are on the search to find someone who does accept special learners. This particular class recognizes none of this. I recommend looking over the paperwork introducing classes such as this one, and going over it with the instructor. We try things out, we disclose as much as we can. These are elementary school aged kids. And no one is perfect. All of this was so upsetting for me as I felt we finally found something successful. Good luck, everyone.

If you have any hesitancy about hiring a tutor when your child is struggling with reading--don't…read more I was the parent of a student who was pushed through elementary school despite clear signs of a learning disability. Later, my daughter was diagnosed with severe dyslexia in 5th grade. She was also a COVID student, which caused her to fall even further through the cracks. Needless to say, I didn't sleep for days, constantly worrying about her future and her low reading level. Then I came across a tutor named Jeanie Ross, "The Singing Teacher." Not only is she a former teacher, but she is also a specialist in working with students with dyslexia. I gave her a call, and she immediately reassured me that my daughter would be able to read at grade level--it would just take time and patience. Jeanie was not only incredible at what she does--she was a true blessing to both my daughter and me. She transformed my daughter into a confident reader. Today, my daughter is in 9th grade, earning straight A's, and most importantly, she believes in herself. I'm not saying it was easy, or that my daughter doesn't still have to work hard--but now she understands how her brain works and how to be successful in her learning. When Jeanie told us she believed my daughter was ready to move forward without tutoring, I was anxious and nervous. But she reassured me--and she was right. I cannot express the dedication Jeanie showed my daughter. She wanted her to succeed just as much as I did. She is truly a blessing and an incredible teacher. You will not be disappointed if your child is tutored by Ms. Jeanie Ross, "The Singing Teacher."
