Liam's exhibition concluding the Summer Catalyst Camp 2021
Amanda N.

I cannot praise Momentum enough! Our family stared at Momentum midway through the Covid distance learning of the 2020-2021 school year; and also attended the Catalyst Summer Camp. I was worried that my kiddos were going to fall behind. They absolutely love coming here, it is not a chore for them or am I forcing them. Their attitude towards learning at the tutoring center is genuinely enthusiastic. All the tutors are wonderful and keep contact with the parents via text on any concerns or specifics on what you want your child to focus on. The owner, Terri, truly cares about the kids and the attention they are receiving. She is super helpful and willing to work with you based on your family's situation. The mission statement of Momentum is "to empower and inspire students of all ages and abilities by providing affordable, individualized academic support and enrichment". You can feel and see this mission statement the first session that you or your child attends. Try Momentum you won't be disappointed, you'll want to keep coming back.

If you have any hesitancy about hiring a tutor when your child is struggling with reading--don't…read more I was the parent of a student who was pushed through elementary school despite clear signs of a learning disability. Later, my daughter was diagnosed with severe dyslexia in 5th grade. She was also a COVID student, which caused her to fall even further through the cracks. Needless to say, I didn't sleep for days, constantly worrying about her future and her low reading level. Then I came across a tutor named Jeanie Ross, "The Singing Teacher." Not only is she a former teacher, but she is also a specialist in working with students with dyslexia. I gave her a call, and she immediately reassured me that my daughter would be able to read at grade level--it would just take time and patience. Jeanie was not only incredible at what she does--she was a true blessing to both my daughter and me. She transformed my daughter into a confident reader. Today, my daughter is in 9th grade, earning straight A's, and most importantly, she believes in herself. I'm not saying it was easy, or that my daughter doesn't still have to work hard--but now she understands how her brain works and how to be successful in her learning. When Jeanie told us she believed my daughter was ready to move forward without tutoring, I was anxious and nervous. But she reassured me--and she was right. I cannot express the dedication Jeanie showed my daughter. She wanted her to succeed just as much as I did. She is truly a blessing and an incredible teacher. You will not be disappointed if your child is tutored by Ms. Jeanie Ross, "The Singing Teacher."

I told Little Learners about the past problems we had, and that in some ways my kid was working on rebuilding his confidence. After a few weeks there he began to be more like himself, even wore his favorite pink shirt to school! (This was something he'd been bullied for in the past, so this was a big step.) At that moment, I knew he was really starting to feel safe and accepted at LLP. My kiddo is also not one of the kids who sits still very well. He is fidgety and is still learning to be good at circle time. They have been patient with him and have kept me well informed of his progress. They even let me visit the classroom many times to see what they did at circle time, and helped brainstorm ideas on how to get my child to learn to best behave. They have encouraged me and my child, and have been VERY helpful and very good at collaborating with me to think up ways to best help my son overcome challenges, and learn good behavior. They also have been great at being sure to celebrate his successes and his accomplishments, too. They just hosted the preschool graduation and we were thrilled! They had a nice, big ceremony in a nice venue and they put a lot more thought and planning into the event than I ever expected. It's clear that they really care about the children and parents, and work hard to ensure that the families that attend LLP are happy and know they're appreciated. They really know my son, and all of his likes, dislikes, and his charming qualities and what makes him tick. I would absolutely recommend this place to friends and family.
