My daughter has been attending Art With Larisse since she turned 5 (now 7) and I cannot say enough great things about this studio. The instructors are so warm and attentive, she absolutely adores them, and I feel very comfortable dropping her off knowing that she is in good hands. Her art has progressed so much, some of the pieces that she brings home I am in awe that my child did them! She started off with pastels and had moved on to watercolors, and gets so excited to complete every goal she is given. They are also very accommodating with schedule changes which is a huge bonus for us. My work schedule is constantly changing, and it is so easy to text the art number if I need to reschedule. There never seems to be a problem with getting her into a different class. She has also attended camps here which have been so fun for her. Art with Larissa studio was the first art studio we went with for my 12 year old. Laid back feel but with the professionalism a studio should give. We did a summer 12 week session and my child had a blast learning new techniques with her art. I was blown away with the few pictures she completed with the class, her art was beautiful. Learning the basics was taught but definitely room to advance for any artist. We definitely will return to this studio to continue my child's artistic abilities. Parking can be hard (many little dance studios and music studio as neighbors) but has the Santee Library a few doors down, definitely helpful if waiting the hour long session with smaller kids. read more

Unfortunately we will not be returning and don't recommend. Was told that because we were 3 days into the new month - my daughter can't come to finish her artwork, even though she had a makeup day on the books from the previous month. I do understand it's policy that the makeup day can't be used, but for there to be no accommodation to allow my daughter to finish (her last step of her art before bringing it home (even after I offered to pay) is not the customer service I would expect. Highly disappointed that they weren't willing to work with us. read more

My daughter had expressed a desire to learn art. After bad experience at another studio where the teachers completed most of her art work for her, we switched to Art with Larisse. My daughter went there from age 8 to 13 years and has grown tremendously as an artist. The way they teach is very hands on, but the children are completing the work themselves. My child attended this studio for approximately a year. The owner was rude and allowed her employee's to be rude as well. The studio never returned calls. I would call and leave message and they would get the information wrong. When I asked to speak to the owner she did to care that her employees could not keep phone messages straight. The business was more concerned about their employees then their customers. I was told by many of the instructors that I could not stay and watch my daughter during her art classes. In addition, the instructors were mean which is a reflection of the ownership. I NEVER recommend sending any child to the studio. I would recommend using any other art studio that values their customers. read more
