When an employee walked near me I had asked her if the store happened to be shutting down since I hadn't seen any sales like this anywhere in the mall that day. She answered me briefly but when I walked away she walked over to her coworker and began to talk about how my question was dumb and how sad it was that the US literacy rate has gone down. Obviously I was not going to cause a scene in the store, but I think it's insane for workers to be on the clock and disrespecting customers who are right next to them. There was only one register open, which was fine since there were just a few people ahead of us and we weren't in a rush. However, a female employee who seemed like a manager got in line behind us and then called another employee to open a register. Another male maybe manager instead of helping the next person in line, he helped the employee who had been behind us. That didn't sit right. Thankfully, when we did get to the register, we were helped by Melissa, and she was absolutely lovely!
