Very sweet owners who always help us with our customized threading on blankets and clothes .. These have really come in handy for baby gifts and we appreciate how kind the owners are and hope to keep coming back often. The price is very reasonable so far we've done about five designs read more

Kidology - Toy Stores Near Me - Carmichael, California

Edit now that they've been open a few years: I stop by a few times a year and buy a bunch of items to keep in our stash of presents for birthday parties, and I always kick off my Christmas shopping there. Their stock changes A LOT so I always find new things. I love their selection of $1-$3 items. I use them as stocking stuffers or little boosters for presents. read more

James, the owner's son, who works there is so rude and disrespectful! The owner is much nicer and also owns the healthy eating place next door to the toy store. I do like the selection of merchandise but James has such a bad attitude that I really don't want to give them my business. Prices are high! It's still fun to go in and look at all the fun toys, though. read more

Great little toy shop, and it feels great to shop local. Sure you might find it a buck or two cheaper on Amazon, but why support bezos if you can support someone who lives in our community. I got everything I needed for a baby shower here. Thank you! read more

Great shop for all ages, games, toys etc. Much better than Amazon!!! It's good to support local businesses.

I probably said "OMG that's so cool" at least 20 times as I walked around this toy store!! It has so much cute, fun, interesting, unique, amazing, creative, educational.....TOYS!!! I really miss the good ol' days when true "toy stores" existed, so this store is like a breath of fresh air. I admit, it doesn't look like much from the front, or even from the entrance, but keep walking. What you'll find is actually a fairly large store with some of the most amazing toys I've ever found in ONE store. And not only are the toys seemingly high in quality and creativity, but they have stuff for a wide range of ages. They have toys for babies (infants) all the way through adults (assuming they like super cool stuff). My recent purchase included a chalk board eraser, kids placemat, fidget tubes, the cutest tea set, an adorable lantern, a little mini cement truck, and a pink, locked diary. This store is a rare gem in a sea of toy-scarcity! read more

If you love old school toys this is the spot for you. You're not going to find your plathora of barbies at This particular toy store. What you will find is a unique selection of board games, science related projects, toys for the little ones, books, puzzles and more....the owners of this shop also own the sandwich place next door!!! Family owned and operated the service is wonderful. Cheerful and professional. And never-ending about the quality of products....outstanding and worth every penny. read more

A wonderful independent toy store. Small, but packed with all sorts of wonderful toys and puzzles, including a few from yesteryear. Lots of choices for children of all ages and very helpful staff to guide you making your selections. I really appreciated being able to see and hold the toys rather than ordering online. Reasonable prices. Thank you! (Closed Sundays and Mondays.) Highly recommended! read more

Kidolgy is the best toy store I've been to in forever!!! What a great place! With so many little ones in my life this store has so many options. They have Brio trains, monogrammed blankets, and educational offerings and lots more! Games and make believe in abundance! So glad I found them! They are in an easy location. A few cute toy store, with fun for all ages. The owner was extremely helpful and gave me a lot of good suggestion for getting a gift for a friend's daughter's three year old birthday. A lot of the toys took me back to my own childhood too, since some of the old stuff is still around apparently! I definitely will be returning here for future gifts and fun ideas. read more

Great atmosphere, great displays and it definitely brings out your inner childhood. I will be doing all of my gift shopping here.

Got lot of goodies in this store but... the lady assume me of stealing cuz I came in alone to find something for my friend's son that really love the Dino's stuff. Couldn't find anything here tho but this place got lot of goodies I'm sure your kids will love this place! I'd suggest you to come in with kids and so she won't just stand and block you from the door, thinking you steal stuff. She could at least approach me to make sure everything is okay. P.s I'm Deaf so yeah I was uncomfortable for a moment. read more

Needed to buy some birthday presents, but this time I didn't just want to run to Target or Amazon. Realized it was a bit of drive to Kidology, but after reading the few reviews I was convinced. Kidology did not disappoint! Warning for all parents: your child will be hooked so proceed with caution. :) It's a small business, which even makes it more exciting that I was supporting them. They are located in the Carmichael area on Fair Oaks Blvd. A bigger shop than I had anticipated with very reasonably priced items. The store pretty much covers all ages from infants to teenagers- you're bound to find at least one thing you need. The store consists of anything from books, board games, stuffed animals, crafts, and trendy toys in the market today. They even do custom embroidery. Owners were more than helpful and helped me find exactly what I needed. Left with so many cute unicorn gifts. Safe to say I will definitely be back. read more

EASILY the best kids' store in Sacramento! It's the only place I buy kids' birthday party gifts anymore. You're sure to get the birthday kiddo something they won't get a duplicate of (like if you grabbed something from Target)--but Kidology does offer gift receipts just in case. It's far more than just toys: They've got books, costumes, science and art projects, embroidery options, games, crafts, and more. They recently renovated the inside, so it feels much larger. The staff is always friendly, and they seem to have new items each time I go. You can find something for ANY kid here--they've got a little of everything! read more

Cute and unique toys in a small shop! There were some areas to interact with toys that were out for the kids which I loved. I did feel that the toys were overpriced and not all of them were good quality. The women working the shop were kind and let us look around without hovering. Overall it's a good spot for a unique gift if you don't mind spending more than usual. read more

Terrific selection. Came in hoping for inspiration for a nephews gift, totally found multiple great gift ideas for now and in the future. Unlike online megastores or the big boxes this place has creative, cool and unique gifts for kids. So glad I found them.
