Edit now that they've been open a few years: I stop by a few times a year and buy a bunch of items to keep in our stash of presents for birthday parties, and I always kick off my Christmas shopping there. Their stock changes A LOT so I always find new things. I love their selection of $1-$3 items. I use them as stocking stuffers or little boosters for presents. read more

James, the owner's son, who works there is so rude and disrespectful! The owner is much nicer and also owns the healthy eating place next door to the toy store. I do like the selection of merchandise but James has such a bad attitude that I really don't want to give them my business. Prices are high! It's still fun to go in and look at all the fun toys, though. read more

I probably said "OMG that's so cool" at least 20 times as I walked around this toy store!! It has so much cute, fun, interesting, unique, amazing, creative, educational.....TOYS!!! I really miss the good ol' days when true "toy stores" existed, so this store is like a breath of fresh air. I admit, it doesn't look like much from the front, or even from the entrance, but keep walking. What you'll find is actually a fairly large store with some of the most amazing toys I've ever found in ONE store. And not only are the toys seemingly high in quality and creativity, but they have stuff for a wide range of ages. They have toys for babies (infants) all the way through adults (assuming they like super cool stuff). My recent purchase included a chalk board eraser, kids placemat, fidget tubes, the cutest tea set, an adorable lantern, a little mini cement truck, and a pink, locked diary. Got lot of goodies in this store but... the lady assume me of stealing cuz I came in alone to find something for my friend's son that really love the Dino's stuff. Couldn't find anything here tho but this place got lot of goodies I'm sure your kids will love this place! I'd suggest you to come in with kids and so she won't just stand and block you from the door, thinking you steal stuff. She could at least approach me to make sure everything is okay. Cute and unique toys in a small shop! There were some areas to interact with toys that were out for the kids which I loved. I did feel that the toys were overpriced and not all of them were good quality. The women working the shop were kind and let us look around without hovering. Kidology did not disappoint! Warning for all parents: your child will be hooked so proceed with caution. :) It's a small business, which even makes it more exciting that I was supporting them. They are located in the Carmichael area on Fair Oaks Blvd. A bigger shop than I had anticipated with very reasonably priced items. The store pretty much covers all ages from infants to teenagers- you're bound to find at least one thing you need. The store consists of anything from books, board games, stuffed animals, crafts, and trendy toys in the market today. They even do custom embroidery. Owners were more than helpful and helped me find exactly what I needed. Left with so many cute unicorn gifts. Safe to say I will definitely be back. read more

EASILY the best kids' store in Sacramento! It's the only place I buy kids' birthday party gifts anymore. You're sure to get the birthday kiddo something they won't get a duplicate of (like if you grabbed something from Target)--but Kidology does offer gift receipts just in case. It's far more than just toys: They've got books, costumes, science and art projects, embroidery options, games, crafts, and more. They recently renovated the inside, so it feels much larger.
