From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with friendly and attentive service. There was no wait time, which made the evening even more enjoyable and stress free for such a large group. The food was fresh, delicious, and served in the perfect portions. Everything was so good that we left nothing behind. I had the flan, and it was honestly the best flan I have ever had. My niece ordered the chocolate cake, and it was absolutely perfect. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had for a special occasion. Whether you are celebrating a birthday, graduation, anniversary, or any important moment, this restaurant makes the experience feel memorable and special. We ate steaks, but the seafood menu is diverse and worth a look. Ask for a Portuguese house wine -- or a bottle if you usually drink a whole bottle with dinner. The tables were all taken, so j was ready to sit on the bar, but we opted for the back dining area. It's a smallish room that had about 6 more tables. We started with some bread for the table while we were perusing the menu. They also have a pretty good list of Fay specials, which is also posted to the facebook page each day, so I checked there as well. We ordered lots of different fish specials. Everything was good well, flavorful, but not too salty. And portions are healthy. The clams were huge!! And the first seafood dish had soooo many pieces of seafood. I also loved that I could swap my side of rice for a nice vegetable mix of carrots and broccoli rabe that would well cooked! I also ordered cappuccino and espresso which were very good. We will probably try this for takeout soon too.

He requested a surprise birthday candle in the cake and they also put it on a plate that says happy birthday. Really nice presentation! He unfortunately didn't love their version of fra diavolo because it has a ton of peppers. Otherwise it was tasty, he just picked out most of the peppers. The seafood in it was cooked well and he said the shrimp was his favorite part. We also added extra tapas - -brussels sprouts (VERY good) -baked clams (these have stuffing with shrimp and a slice of bacon on top. We actually didn't like these, would prefer clams without a pile of stuffing).

Entrees come with Market Table, plus Brazilian sides for the table (pao de quiejo, polenta, sweet plantain). Most of the time someone comes around offering a grilled piece of cheese with honey, but they didn't stop at our table with it tonight. My family does now avoid coming here during major holidays like Mother's Day - one year they had trouble keeping the Market Table in stock, including the rice. But it's still one of our favorites to celebrate birthdays. Don't fill up right away on every meat you see come around - sometimes they are too busy to get to every table before a type od meat runs out, and there are times we had to request what we wanted because we didn't want to get full. I've personally been to four of them around the country, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, huntington station 2x and my first time here in Carle Place. We went for Lunch and the "experience" was only $56 per person including the salad bar. We got about 7 cuts of meat, disappointedly 6 of them were all dry and tough! Only the first spicy steak was decent but then again I got the end fat piece which was very tasty. It's ok, it's only $56 right? No!....of course of few of us had beers, and dessert. Total bill plus tax and tip for four, for LUNCH? $384! Split between 3 people and Birthday Boy not paying ? $128 per person Shooooot! For that money we could have gone to Peter Lugers for Porterhouse and would be guaranteed excellent steak! So while this stand alone establishment with ample parking and no reservations needed for lunch was convenient, the steak was 1 star, service was good and attentive although the guy who brought over the skewers was messy, steak juices, oil, honey from the cheese bread stained every corner of the table cloth on all ends, not glamorous, non apologetic, a 5 star restaurant this is not! And unfortunately took a few stars away from the other servers which were great! Dessert I had the Cheesecake Brûlée, it was great! So an overall rating of 3 stars even with hard to chew steak and an almost $100 per person price for LUNCH!??? can only amount to an overall experience of 2 stars for our visit to this Fogo. Picture is before we took our first bite! Sorry but that's why your restaurant is not maintaining a 4 1/2 Yelp rating like most Fogo's. Training for the skewer guy and the protein chef is needed. Unless they save the bad cuts for LUNCH! Waaaaay too expensive for substandard meat, completely unacceptable for a dinner service, mildly acceptable for Lunch, But not for $100pp!
