I had always shopped at this store when it was on Third Avenue and now I found it again today on Second Avenue! It was great then and it is even better now! I was looking for gifts for my 1 year old granddaughter and I found so many amazing items, with the very supportive help from Lisa, herself! She is knowledgeable about her products and took the time to help me make my selections.They have an awesome range of products and the quality brands gave me confidence that I was getting the best. Merchandise is outstanding, and service is generally great, but one cashier is always rude to me. I have a photo of Barack Obama on my phone case. She adamantly told me how much she doesn't like him. She's impatient, very intolerant of my Gold Crown coupons, and once her colleague even came to my rescue when she refused to let me make two separate transactions. The last time I was there she had a tantrum regarding how Gold Crown is of no benefit to her, and she's no longer participating. I don't know her name. Don't think she's Lisa. I've often seen a gentleman there who appears too be her superior. I've tried to be friendly and to warmly greet her, but her mood remains. Strange way to treat a loyal customer of 14 years - I first shopped at the 3rd Avenue location. Sadly, I'll probably seek another Hallmark store where my purchases will count toward points, and I won't have to endure disrespect. read more

This store is so cute! And even though it's mainly a Hallmark seller, it's nice that they're not a huge chain store and they sell other trinkets there as well. The one downside to this store was that I had to search very hard for what I was looking for: single Thank You cards. I understand that most times, you want a stock ty note and coming in 10 packs is easier, but sometimes, there's someone who went above and beyond and they deserve a fancier card than the others! But other than that, the store is neat and well organized. They seem to turn stock over according to the seasons. Will definitely come back here if I need another card or gift. read more

My favorite Hallmark store by far! I used to go to them regularly for party supplies at the old location on Third. When I found out they'd moved, I hunted them down because the store is so darn good. Plenty of light and way more space--and I was able to organize my friend's surprise birthday party in 15 minutes. Lisa's Hallmark Store is a staple on the UES she moved from 3rd Avenue around 5 years ago. Lisa's is my go to for all my last minute gift needs which are many. Her buying eye is unique and nothing looks cheap... I remember bringing my daughter to shop many, many times (she is now a grown woman) to pick out a toy, card or ornament or jewelery. The employees are all nice and helpful as my type A personality is always running in for a last minute gift with the Uber waiting. Great candles, room sprays, baby gifts, toys galore, chocolates, frames, novelty items and of course cards and wrappings...I always get my party balloons there. The gentleman that works there is a real pro with the party decorating. Many times you can get lucky and see Lisa she works her own store often and some great conversation and perfect gift suggestions from her. Fantastic experience! Great selection of baby gifts and kids toys. And of course all of the hallmark staples we all know and love. We live in the neighborhood and come here for last minute birthday gifts and cards wrapping etc. The owner is friendly and inviting. She helps us shop and has great taste in selecting specialized gifts. We have lots of friends who shop here as well. They also work with the local school and donate a portion of their proceeds. They even do a special class with some of the kids from the school where they teach about owning a business.
