Cute little mom and pop type restaurant. You might not notice this driving by because it's in a strip mall off Route 4, but this is our favorite new breakfast place in Fairfield. My favorite menu item so far is the biscuits and gravy and my husband's is Goetta, but any breakfast we have had there has been awesome! Fast service and great staff. read more

Good, Not Great We were in the area and used Yelp to find a highly rated place for lunch. I had the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs breakfast ($7.99). The corned beef was the same as their sandwich meat, just cut into strips. There were LOTS of diced onions and a bed of lightly cooked hash browns (substituted for home fries). Then, two eggs on top with two slices of toast on the side. A big portion size for the money, but it just wasn't what I would consider to be good ole corned beef hash. My wife had the hot Corned Beef & Swiss sandwich ($5.99). It was ok, but not like a good deli sandwich. It came with chips and a pickle spear. Service was friendly and reasonable for a busy lunch on Saturday. Lunch for two with two soft drinks plus tax was $19 before tip. Glad I tried Lisa's, but I'll try someplace else next time I'm in the area. read more

Was a pleasant experience here. I'm not into all the hip locations all the time. Sometimes you just need a good ole diner. As soon as I walked in it had a home town feel. Staff was friendly. They definitely have their regulars and can tell people are loyal. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs. It was good portions and fairly priced. They food isn't stand out but it is a solid home style meal that will make your belly happy and all for a good price. read more

I love this place for lunch. Service is prompt and friendly, the restaurant is spacious and comfortable, and the food is always on point. I always order the turkey bacon club double decker and I have never been disappointed. A traditional club sandwich on your choice of toast, with the perfect ratio of turkey and bacon and fresh toppings. The breakfast menu and specialty sandwiches are enticing, should I ever stray from my go-to. I would definitely recommend Lisa's to anyone passing through Fairfield during breakfast or lunch time. read more

We were heading to Jungle Jim's when we decided to get something to eat and with this being our first time in the area, we debated on where to stop. We had all the usual chain options but we wanted to try something different and boy was I glad we did! Lisa's was GREAT! Everyone was super friendly and our waitress, Dawn, even brought us a little sample of goetta since we'd never even heard of it before! Two of us got cheeseburgers which are hand formed when you order! They were juicy and hot and oh so good! One in our group got a Ruben that came out perfectly toasted! The atmosphere was homey, feeling like a local place but making everyone feel welcome! I highly recommend Lisa's if you're in the area! Stopped here today with the boys for lunch since we were in the area. Had never been before but the kids were in the mood for some good diner food. Lisa's delivered. Burgers, double deckers, crinkle cut fries...all made perfectly! The BLT was loaded with bacon and had thick slices of tomato. It took quite a while to get our food but our waitress was very apologetic. We didn't mind - they were slammed and we weren't in a hurry. When we headed up front to pay the bill the lady at the register (I think it may have been Lisa herself!) offered each of my kids a free chocolate chip cookie to make up for the long wait for the food. It wasn't necessary, but was very much appreciated...it's little things like this that bring customers back. And the kids and I will definitely be back! read more

I really hate to give negative ratings but I can't help it on this occasion. My boyfriend and I wanted to try a new breakfast place over the weekend before catching a movie so we tried Lisa's because of the good ratings. I can't even tell you if the food is any good because we never even got to eat. When we arrived, we were seated by a dismissive hostess who wasn't rude but wasn't friendly. The only waitress who appeared to be working was friendly enough, but hurried us ordering, then we proceeded to wait over an hour for food that didn't come. In the process, we missed our movie, had no apology or follow up and never got our food. Eventually we just left, and even though the staff saw us leaving, nobody bothered to say anything to us. I have been to Lisa's kitchen twice now. Both times we're amazing. On my first visit I ordered the corner beef hash with eggs over easy. It's was some of the best corned beef hash I've ever had. It was homemade and crispy. The eggs were cooked perfectly. On my second visit I ordered steak and eggs. The steak was a sirloin and cooked how I ordered, medium rare, and the eggs over easy, and again they were cooked perfect. The service was solid and the atmosphere has an old school diner feel. This is a great place to get really good homemade food at reasonable prices. I'm lucky enough to live close by so this will definitely become a go to breakfast spot for me. read more

The Menu itself has plenty of different lunch and breakfast option. I only had lunch there so far and it was very good. I chose "The Cuban" Sandwich and it was very tasty. I have been here 3 times. The food is fine. I can not say I have ever had bad food. BUT the service is awful every time. I keep thinking that the servic will get better or I have caught someone on a bad day. Doesn't seem to be the case. Waitresses are not nice. Owner thinks she knows everything. We had a most excellent breakfast here. We have a tradition of having Steak & Eggs in the morning after our anniversary and chose Lisa's based on a Yelp review. After having trouble finding the place (The address is 6601 Dixie Hwy.), we looked at the menu and were disappointed but asked anyway. Very clean local diner. The menu was simple and light and not overbearing. Was not welcomed as I entered but after a moment or so was told I could sit where I like. Server was welcoming and genuine, very nice and helpful. I ordered sweet tea with lemon and despite the previous review my lemon wedge was very fresh. I had Country Fried Steak and eggs with hashbrowns. The eggs were cooked perfectly to order, the hash browns were crisp and cooked perfectly. The country fried steak was a minor disappointment, it appeared to me to be a bit overcooked as it crumbled around the steak (perhaps brought in frozen?). The gravy made up for this and if it was overcooked hid it well. The owner was very nice and willing to help. Inexpensive breakfast, great place to take the family. I would recommend Lisa's to anyone, look forward to trying out their lunch menu. read more

Only been for breakfast so far, but was pretty impressed. Good and quick service that was really friendly and engaging with my son. It's always nice to feel welcomed when dining with little ones and they were very accommodating. Our group which included my parents had a good mix of things from the menu ranging from eggs, home fries, goetta, bacon, sausage, and omelettes which were all pretty good.
