This is the first time I've ever had a bad experience at a dentist office. I recently moved into…read morethe area and needed a new dentist. I thought I had booked a cleaning, but after I arrived I was told the appointment would just be an examination. The x-rays were done on film that needed to be developed. The hygienist began to explain my gums were in bad condition and I had deep pockets that would need scaling and root planning, but she wasn't sure if it was deep enough of a pocket for insurance to pay for it. I declined, saying if it didn't make it to the level where insurance thought it needed to be covered, I didn't want it. She then disappeared to get the dentist and came back to say she asked the front desk to ask my insurance about it anyway. Which I was immediately uncomfortable about. Then, the dentist came in and told me I needed to get the SRP because gum disease never goes away, basically not giving me an option, and there was no further conversation about a regular cleaning. I have never had a cavity before. Regular dentist visits every six months, and never a concern about gum disease. They told my insurance I needed scaling and cleaning on all four quadrants of teeth. It took me months to finally go to another dentist after that experience for a second opinion. My gum pockets were almost all 3 with two 4s. 3mm gum pockets are normal. The 4mm gum pockets did not need scaling and rooting. If anything, the second dentist said cleanings every 4 months instead of six. Would not recommend.

After reading about Dr. Sreeni, I knew he was the right doctor for my dental implant surgery. The office is very conveniently located in the Rockville Town Square area, and there was free patient parking right next to the elevator in the garage. The office was very clean and modern, I couldn't help but notice the beautiful fish tank upon my arrival. Upon arrival inside of the dental room, I noticed so much new and sophisticated technology. The front desk was very polite and informative, and I met with Dr. Sreeni for my consultation. He was so professional, and explained everything to me in a way that made the produce very easy to understand. I went in for my dental implant surgery yesterday for tooth #3 (molar) that is very important for chewing food. Upon arrival, Dr. Sreeni's staff checked me in and explained everything to me very clearly, I wasn't nervous at all. In my opinion, I've never received better care or surgery in my life than I did from Dr. Sreeni and his staff. The ENTIRE process was 100% PAIN FREE! I was scared because I went to a different office/dentist for the tooth extraction last month, and I went through a tremendous amount of pain. While in Dr. Sreeni's care, he did the entire implant from A to Z with absolutely no pain whatsoever during the procedure and after the procedure, I repeat PAIN FREE. I have a follow up appointment in two weeks to have my sutures removed, and look forward to thanking Dr. Sreeni and his staff again for the wonderful and pain free experience.

I was in desperate…read moreneed of repair when I went to see him this past July, after having gone to my regular dentist in June for my check-up; I was told my teeth were in "phenomenal shape", not long after that visit I suffered a very painful toothache; my regular dentist couldn't fit me in for 2-3 weeks!!! Dr. Keith got me in right away and made sure I received the proper care I needed. I trusted him from that point on. His staff is really friendly and so helpful. I recommend Dr. Keith to ANYONE looking for an excellent dentist, he's about making sure your mouth is healthy, because it really does effect your physical health! At my follow-up visit Dr. Keith and I discussed a treatment plan, since July he has replaced all of my old silver fillings, which were about 43 years old and some other "dental work" that a really bad dentist had done in the past, and had subsequently been causing other ailments. The difference in my overall health since Dr. Keith has completed the treatment of my dental work has been incredible! I have a mouth guard now to keep me from grinding; the sinus, breathing, snoring problems are gone - it's amazing! I LOVE my smile, Dr. Keith :-) Thank you!

The morning I went there were a number of more senior citizens there for dental care and it appears they really take care of their more senior clients. Once back in the room I waited quite a bit for the dentist to come. Before that the dental hygienist took X-rays which was quite the task to put it gently. The X-ray experience was probably the initial deterrent. Also, I thought I booked an initial cleaning which I thought was typical for a first appointment, but apparently I did not. The first appointment consisted entirely of X-rays and then a review and evaluation of the X-rays. I don't know if I'm a personal fan of the bedside manner for the dentist, but that's a subjective standard rather than objective. I'm sure this is the right office for someone, just not me.

I'm 64 years old and I've had as much radiation for tonsil cancer earlier in life that a human can survive. And fortunately it worked, and cured it. But my teeth were a casualty. I was told I'd have "tooth problems forever" and it was the truth. But to my immense good fortune I've found the most wonderful dentist who has cared for me and my family (and several of my friends) for years. Whatever goes wrong, he fixes it. And no matter what work has to be done, he gets it done and it's 100% painless every time. To look at my teeth, you'd never know I have chronic tooth problems because he keeps them in such good shape both structurally and cosmetically. To complicate matters, I can't open my mouth as wide as normal people can. My jaw muscles are very tight from the radiation. So performing dental work in my mouth is particularly challenging. But Dr. Liebeskind is always patient and understanding and talented enough to perform whatever needs to be done, never complaining about how difficult I make it for him. It would be fine if he wasn't also one of the nicest people I've ever met. But he is. And I wouldn't complain if he didn't have the nicest, most professional staff. But he does. I enjoy seeing them as I do old friends. I'm retired from a leadership position at the FDA where I knew countless physicians of all stripes. And then I served as a hospital VP for 8 years and worked closely with literally hundreds more doctors. I don't throw superlatives for doctors around lightly. Dr. Liebeskind is the best dentist, period. These days as I'm retired to Delaware I drive 3 hours to see him, and I'd drive farther if I had to. You don't know how lucky you are to have found him. The whole office runs like clockwork and is truly client-centric. I have never been kept waiting past my appointment in almost 10 years of patronage. I've had cleanings and fillings but mostly crowns; all feel and look wonderful. Fees are reasonable for top-notch dentistry. In fact I have dental coverage through my Kaiser Permanente health plan but have never used it since I wouldn't think of changing dentists!

I actually spoke with a customer representative from Tricare after this disastrous dental appointment and she confirmed that the only proof I needed was my ID and benefits number (some providers will also ask for the sponsor's DOB and SSN), and she said that providers can verify my insurance by calling their number or through their website. I have had Tricare for years and visited dentists all across the country, and all of them have not had a problem verifying my insurance, even when they weren't in network. I want to reiterate that I did nothing wrong and that the problem was and is Dr. Eghtesadi's ignorance about insurance and unwillingness to listen. Dr. Eghtesadi was not "direct," "to-the-point," or "candid." He was rude, patronizing, and caustic. If you've ever had someone try to "help" you or "teach" you something when really they just wanted to take their emotions out on you or assert their imagined superiority, then you will know what I mean. Dr. Eghtesadi can try to rewrite what happened all he wants, but I was there, and he was shockingly rude and angry.
