Lisa is wonderful! I saw her for eyebrow microblading, which I had never tried before. I have blonde eyebrows and it's always a time-consuming challenge to get the shape right if I want to define them. I was really hopeful that Lisa could give me a semi-permanent look that would save me time and ensure my eyebrows always looked right. She couldn't have done a better job. In my consultation, she spent plenty of time drawing the shape so we could decide together what looked best. Then in my first session (you do two sessions for microblading, an initial session and then a touchup 6 weeks later), she accommodated all of my perfectionist requests to tweak the shape of the eyebrows until I was completely happy with them. It was no easy task since most faces aren't perfectly symmetrical, and getting the eyebrows to look even is an art form. We went with a lighter shade for the first session, since I'm a fair-skinned redhead and didn't want to regret any extreme changes. In the second session, I decided to make my eyebrows a little darker. It's great that there are two opportunities to get your brows just the way you want them. I love the way my eyebrows look and never before realized what a huge difference it makes in one's face. Lisa is also extremely kind and lovely to be around. She really knows what she's doing. I went to Lisa Bruce for brows and liner. I specifically wanted the old style, glam look brows not the microblading. She did a fantastic job; exactly what I expected, exactly what I wanted! By the time we got to the liner, I really couldn't take much more, so we decided to finish when I returned for the touch-up. At the next appointment, she fine-tuned the brows, but I was having too much pain this time. I think it was my chemistry at that time. I just couldn't take it. Lisa Bruce is very professional but also a very nice and kind person. She suggested I return one more time to get what I wanted on the liner. I have been seeing Lisa for about a year for electrolysis. The appointments are getting further and further apart (which is great...there are just a couple pesky ones that show up now and then). In fact, I just had to cancel my next appointment as there is nothing there that needs removal. YEA!!!! From the first appointment, Lisa explained the science of hair growth and what to expect in terms of growth cycle, the number of hairs that are likely to be gone forever vs. regrow and need a 2nd shot, etc...so my expectations were realistic. She also coached me on ways to minimize the discomfort (don't drink coffee ahead of time, take a couple of aspirin, etc) and has made it as comfortable as possible. Let's be real: electrolysis is uncomfortable. Downright painful at times. Despite this I found myself looking forward to appointments with Lisa because she is so warm, charming, and fun to talk to. Not to mention every appointment was a step toward less anguish over unwanted hair. She was very upfront about the science of hair growth at the consultation so I didn't have unrealistic expectations, but I am delighted at the response so far. One thing I appreciate about Lisa is her professionalism: you only pay for the time spent in treatment. My eyelashes have thinned with age, and when I developed an eye condition that made eye makeup irritating, I looked into getting permanent tightline (non-obvious) eyeliner. I am so glad I found Lisa Bruce! During the consultation she took the time to find out exactly what I was looking for and we chose dark brown colors for the top and bottom lash lines. During the procedure she was very diligent with the numbing cream to make the process as low-pain as possible. My recovery was very easy and there was no "down" time. The best part of all is that she scheduled a second (free) appointment for fine-tuning a few weeks later. I was actually very happy with the original result, but Lisa made it even better the second time, when we went a little bolder. Even after just the first tattooing I no longer needed to wear any eye makeup at all (or just a little mascara if I want to "up" my look), and it has sped up my morning routine considerably. My eyebrows are PERFECT, exactly as we had discussed in my consultation, the color and the shape are exactly as we had drawn and I am exceptionally happy. Unfortunately, I soon noticed that the micro-blade tattooing didn't take and my beautiful eyebrows basically vanished. During my second appointment, Lisa tried a different technique and re-did the entire micro-blading (instead of simply "touching up"). Soon thereafter, I noticed that the tattoo was again vanishing. During my third appointment, Lisa re-did my eyebrows again, this time with a powder technique. They came out beautifully.
