She has a very precise and gentle hand - which made the whole thing much easier. It was my first time getting microbladed, so I didn't know what to expect for pain. Xen used a topical to numb the eyebrow area, which helps a lot. She also tells you what she's doing next, which helps so you feel good and aware throughout the process. Healing was much easier than I thought it would be. It took a week of putting on the A&D cream (Xen gave me all the instructions) and it was easy to do. I healed beautifully and could not be happier! It's amazing because I still look like me (which is what I wanted) - but with amazing brows that make my eyes pop! I LOVE them! I wanted them to have a polished, more pronounced look - but not look huge. Xen had different options and really listened to what I wanted. We found the right shape for my face (based on what I wanted) and she took it from there! My mom loved them so much that she got them done too! My dad gave her microblading from Brow & Line as a birthday gift - well done dad! Her brows were sparse and she had to pencil them in everyday. Now she has gorgeous brows from the moment she wakes up each morning! She is so happy! Xen is a total gem! I somehow found Claudia via Instagram and as soon as I was done with breastfeeding, I made an appointment. The initial appointment I had was at her Alameda office. It was not painful, and she really was very particular about the shape in order to not underdo it or overdo it. Mine healed quickly without any issues and then for my second appointment, I went to her new office in Pacifica. We made the brows a bit thicker and they are now the perfect size and shape. I was referred to Hallie to have my brows touched up a year after I initially had them done. Since I had never been tattooed, I didn't know how my skin or the pigment would take so a touch up was needed. Hallie really took time to understand what I wanted from my brows and also study how the pigments developed with my skin type and tone. She did an amazing job filling my brows in, correcting the shape where they had faded, and selecting the right pigment blend to match my hair. Six months later and my brows still look amazing and have settled in beautifully. I'm super happy with Hallie's artistry and will not hesitate to come back. She told me she didn't have a shop anymore but was willing to come to my house. I paid the $100 deposit at the time of booking. Appointment was specifically scheduled for 5:30pm after work; I also remember this because I even warned her about potential rush hour traffic at that time. I was surprised when she called me the morning of the appointment to tell me she was on her way, and I reminded her I was at work and appt isn't until 5:30pm. She said no problem I'll see you then. A couple of hours before my appointment, Hallie texted me saying her car isn't working and needs to reschedule. I was understanding and provided several alternative dates and times the following week. When I didn't hear back by that weekend, I followed up and even offered to travel to her in Oakland to make it easier on her, and let her know I was really trying to keep my touch up appointment within the 6-8 week recommended timeframe so my brows wouldn't fade too much before touch up. She said she'd get right back to me, but never did. One week after my initial booked appt, I kindly asked for my deposit to be refunded since the service had not been provided and she seemed like she was going through a lot and couldn't get back to me about rebooking. She said she would send it. 24 hours later I let her know I still never received it and asked when she'd send it. She refused to provide a timeframe and was short with me. It has now been approximately one month and I still haven't received my $100 deposit back. I understand that unexpected circumstances happen, but the lack of communication, failure to reschedule, and failure to return a deposit for a service that was never provided are extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
