The wait time for an appointment here is about a month out. You pay a $100 deposit. Claudia corresponds with you and if you go through with the appointment you pay the remainder in cash $450. Your deposit is non- refundable. I am someone who doesn't have much hair on my brows, they are sparse and my tail stopped growing on both sides. Claudia drew my eye brows on and I didn't like them which right away irritated her when I questioned her to adjust them. I requested for her to please pull my eye brows in they give me a different look and to open up my tail which she drew dowards and said it was my natural way my hair would grow, but really IT doesn't. It boxed in my eyes making me look tired and older. It was such a horrible look. I asked her why couldn't she open up my tail, pics on her website from previous clients have their tail open. She said because your tail would be in your tempos. I never asked her to draw them out to my tempos but to open them up, it lifts the eyes giving you a more youthful look. In the end I turned it down. She wasn't open to doing what I asked and mentioned that her business wasn't about clients coming in and requesting their brows get done the way they wanted. If you are someone who knows brows like me, this wouldn't be the place for you! I will post some pics to show you how she drew my brows and then a pic of a client she did that I wanted my tail like. In the end I tipped her $50 on top of her keeping my $100 deposit for her time (15 minutes) but when I think of the interaction we had and how I'm paying a lot of money to someone who had an attitude about something I was asking for, I totally regret it. I'm sharing this experience on here so no one else like me would have to see $100 go down the drain or waste their time. I also wanted to add that months prior to this, I had a scheduled appointment where I had to arrange coverage to take the day off from work and she ended up canceling my appointment that morning at 5am to tell me she had food poisoning, what a coincidence. This review is long overdue!! Claudia is an amazing artist who will give you beautiful, natural looking eyebrows. I got my eyebrows done back in August 2021 when I was recently engaged, had an engagement photoshoot 1 month out, and I was tired of doing my eyebrows everyday. I do very minimal makeup and it would take me at least 10 minutes a day to do my eyebrows because it was always a struggle (I hate putting on makeup). I researched about semi-permanent makeup and found Claudia. I asked her all the questions before making an appointment because I had an engagement shoot only 1 month away. She was so welcoming and always took the time to answer my questions and concerns. I decided to move forward and I was pretty nervous tbh since I've never done any real beauty treatments that's semi-permanent. The whole process is a PROCESS. The first session took the whole afternoon and it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. Claudia definitely took her time to make sure my brows looked perfect during the initial session. I also told her I wanted natural looking brows and that's something she prides herself in doing. Fast forward to the healing process - I definitely freaked out the first week because my eyebrows looked super dark. But literally like what everyone says, trust the process and wait it out. Follow the after care and it'll be fine. You have to be patient! I even bought these visor, shower thingy on Amazon to protect my eyebrows from getting wet in the shower for the first couple of days/week. Present day, it's been 1.5 years since I made the decision to get powder brows and I've gotten countless compliments. I was excited to book an appointment and provided the 100.00 deposit she requested. I reviewed the policy (medical) for the services and realized I was not a candidate for several reasons: on blood thinners, and diabetic. Also the level of after care was not for me, not explained during phone conversations. I called her and requested the 100.00 deposit back and she refused, stating it is not her policy to refund deposits. In this case I believe she failed to give "full" disclosure and revealed she was willing to provide her service to me, despite my medical reasons for canceling. I think this was an individual case where she should have refunded my money and just let it go. I wanted the service but was not willing to put myself at risk for it. Clearly she created the medical guidelines for a reason, it shocked me she was willing to side step them for 100.00. Edit: YOU CAN SEE THE OWNERS REPLY BELOW. Here's my response. When we initially spoke we did not discuss medical policies. I read something on your website, and you said, yes, my clients usually don't read it. I admit, I did not read it carefully enough. Initially I only asked about the diabetes, not blood thinners. Whether it is there in your written policies or not, that is a very important issue when it comes to tattooing. When I asked if the procedure breaks the skin, you explained it was tattooing, and I balked. The next day you asked if I read the attachment to an email, I said I had not, I immediately read it, and it was slightly different more complete than the one I read before. I saw blood thinners and thought I can't do this. I also have anxiety and I began to panic thinking of what might have happened if I showed up and did it and there was an issue. I only hung up when you insisted because of your policy that you weren't returning the 100.00, you kept talking and I had said all I had to say, and I hung up. I think honestly that you should follow all your policies firmly and not just the non refund, you put me at risk by not saying that's too risky I won't do it, or you're on blood thinners we can't do it, I'll return your deposit. I LOVE HOW MY BROWS TURNED OUT! It's been two weeks after my second session, and they look soft, natural, and elegant. Claudia is very professional and knows what she's doing. This is important for something that will stay on your face for a couple of years. I've been wanting to get my brows done for almost 10 years and even visited other countries that offer top notch cosmetic procedures. But I couldn't find the right person to do it because my standards were so high...until I found Claudia! Before my appointment, she thoroughly explained the process and how it differs from micro-blading (btw, definitely opt for powder brows over micro-blading!). She addressed all of my questions and concerns (I was worried about ending up with reddish-toned brows, which would clash with my skin tone). Claudia shaped my brows to complement my face structure and took into consideration factors that are unique to me (dry skin, light-medium neutral/warm skin tone, black hair). She was patient with my preferences and concerns, and would not proceed until we were both happy with the "draft."The procedure itself is painless and at most feels like scratching. I did have a bit of "brow shock" immediately after both sessions, but do not panic if this happens to you too. Definitely trust her judgment and the process. Because she also factors in how the ink, swelling, and everything else will adjust with your skin over time. I can't believe I was ever terrified of having my eyebrows tattooed. I foolishly imagined there would be lots of pain caused by the needle, but I was terribly mistaken. Honestly,had I not felt the personal need to transform my appearance because I am now age 48 and divorced. I would have continued tolerating my super thin chola 90's eyebrows out of fear- lol. Such as, the challenge of giving me the right color that would work well for my fair skin and dark colored hair. She decided to use a lighter color ink to try out because it would be easier to make it darker in the post session. She skillfully shaped my eyebrows conservatively to see how it would look. Again, the thought process was that I could always make the color darker and increase the shape size in the post session, but the starting point would be more conservative so to ensure my overall satisfaction. I was very relieved in the starting point she had for my eyebrows because I had been accustomed to thin eyebrows for so long. I was afraid she'd make my eyebrows too large. But Claudia did the complete opposite, she shaped my eyebrows to compliment my facial features. She made my eyebrows look soft and dainty! When she was done sketching out my eyebrows and it was time for her to do the actual tattooing. I found myself surprisingly shocked how painless the procedure was. It helped that she applied a numbing cream on the eyebrows as she worked. However, the numbing cream was an added bonus because Claudia has the MOST gentle hands I have ever encountered! Her hands were so gentle, I kept falling asleep, while she was working on me. I'd wake myself because I could hear myself snore! Lol OmG I can't believe I was so afraid of getting my eyebrows done. I feel so silly now because the session was by far the most relaxing experience I have ever had, including a massage! Claudia pays attention to detail and took her time to make sure she was able to shape my eyebrows to both of our liking! Not everyone's eyebrows are the same so I appreciated this. It wasn't easy to accomplish because of the shape and placement of my eyebrows (naturally one is noticeably higher and different). Claudia also made it clear that if wasn't able to shape my eyebrows then she would not tattoo them. Claudia didn't rush it and in the end she came up with something we were both happy with. I really respect her for that because I would rather her say I can't work With your brows then to force it and then I'm unhappy!! After she tattooed my eyebrows another thing I appreciated was how detail oriented she was about the healing process and letting me know the many stages I was going to go through and to not worry!! I was really looking forward to powder brows, and put a lot of work into finding the right tattooist. Sadly, I wish I had stayed away from this service altogether. i am very embarrassed by my powder brows - i feel that they look clownish, and that is exactly what I was worried about. Claudia was a bit impatient during our consultation. I shared my concerns with her, but in retrospect I don't think she was attentive and I felt rushed to make a decision, like I would be disappointing her if I didn't move forward. I figured with all the good reviews, I couldn't go wrong, but now I can't undo this permanent makeup. I wish I had trusted my instincts and backed out. Going to see Claudia is truly one of the best things I've done in my entire life! I am horrible at make-up and can't draw symmetrical anything on my face for the life of me. It literally takes 20-25 min and a handful of q-tips just for me to do my brows, eyeliner and mascara. I've had sparse eyebrows my entire life and have gone through quite a journey with many trial and errors figuring out the right products, shapes, color etc. that suited my face. Naturally I don't have a lot of color in my face, and think I look kinda sickly without any make up. So I've always been pretty self conscious about going out without make up. I had finally found a routine that worked but with my lack of artistry, putting on make up was still one of the longest parts of my "getting ready" routine. Coupled with the bad habit of chronic lateness, doing my make up is not something I look forward to. After researching a lot online I stumbled across Claudia's business and was immediately blown away by how put together everything was. I'm naturally a very cautious and hesitant person, so deciding to get semi permanent anything I wanted to make sure I was going to the right person. Her website had so much great information that answered the millions of questions going on in my head. She is incredibly thorough to make sure that any potential customers would be a great match. Even after meeting her in person, it even more clear how much pride she takes in her work and how much she truly wants customers to be happy with their brows. Going into the process I was terrified of many things, getting turned away for not being a good candidate, ending up with brows I hated and having to put up with them for 2-3 years, the potential pain of the procedure, looking like I had super dark sharpied eyebrows on while healing, and the awkwardness of sitting with a stranger for 3 hours. I am happy to say that all those fears quickly diminished. After sitting down with Claudia she let me know that I was a great candidate (I thought I wouldn't be because of an oily T-zone and having occasional eczema). She starts by meticulously drawing out the shape of the brows and even taking many pictures and observations of how you use your face muscles and brows. She was very knowledgeable, and so incredibly easy to talk to. I was super impressed by how much time and care she takes into making sure everything is perfect. The procedure itself didn't even hurt and practically felt like nothing once numbing cream was applied. In preparation of looking odd after the first procedure I even took a few days off work to hide but honestly the brows looked amazing on day 1. They were a little darker than what I was used to but didn't stand out at all. If anything the days to look out for and maybe stay in for a day or two are the 5th -7th day when the brows are patchy and peeling. Claudia sends you home with a little guide of exactly what to expect and what to do during the healing process. She also emphasizes to reach out to her for any questions or concerns, which I greatly appreciated. Overall I am so grateful to Claudia for truly transforming my brows. I am definitely more confident now to leave the house without any make up on. I still run late a lot but not as late since I save so much time in my make up routine. Gone are the days I have to worry about accidentally rubbing my eyebrow make up off, or not being able to draw/shade symmetrical caterpillars on my face.
