Unprofessional, rude, uncooperative. Stay away…read more Please be patient with this review, as context is important. I have sleep apnea, untreatable by CPAP. My medical doctor recommended an appliance that you wear at night, like a retainer, that adjusts your jaw forward to open air passages. It is prescribed as medical, but has to be fulfilled by a dentist. My dentist is not able to bill medical and referred me to DHS. When I called, they made an appointment to see the dentist. I assumed it would be for a fitting, but she said it was to 'check my mouth." Seemed like a waste of time for both of us, but OK. When I got there we talked about the device, and recommended I waited until he got the approval from medical. I validated that I had all the correct paperwork, and a recent sleep study and X-rays. This conversation could all be done by phone, but, again, OK. Then he said that as long as I was there he might as well take a look at my mouth. I told him I already had a dentist I was happy with, and was just here for the appliance. The next day I got a call from his office. The doctor said this was "not a good doctor patient fit, "and that I should go elsewhere. Elsewhere not to include any of the other DHS offices. I was floored. I asked why, and she kept repeating the phrase over and over again, "not a good doctor patient fit." I asked if I had something, if he didn't have time, if he preferred I move all dental business to that office. Do you call that a satisfactory answer? After 3 days of searching for another un-network dental office that could make the device and bill medical, I finally found one. All of their requirements need to be done online. I emailed DHS to ask if they would forward all the info they got from my doctor to me. No response.the next day I repeated the request - no response. Then I asked if they would do me the courtesy of at least respond whether they could or could not. Rude, unprofessional, uncooperative. Those are the three words that first pop into my mind.I still have no idea what the problem was. I don't know what their standard density practices are like, but this is not a business I would entrust my teeth with.

We are moving and I called 6 times and was told, it's in the mail etc. Come to find out they sent it to our insurance company, ALL OF OUR OVERPAYMENTS! I feel taken advantage of and I'm out over $1,100. Beware!

I used to use them because they accept both of my dental insurances (I prefer to be over insured…read morethan to pay out of pocket) and a reasonable location. It is "owned?" by Dr. T. with various subs popping in and out from time to time. One sub declared a chipped tooth "an emergency" and chased me down the hall screaming "its an emergency" while I was walking off after refusing treatment. I changed to a different office, one that later closed when the building was torn down and replaced by a high rise. After looking for someone I could trust (I have Anthem BC/BS Fed EE plan AND Delta Dental ins.) I learned, to my dismay, that too many dentists were attending too many seminars on how to convince people they needed unessential work done (ka ching). Went back to MW on Tree Ln. by default only to have Dr. T slip me a form "do you like your smile? would you like whiter teeth? etc." ka ching, ka ching. This guy is going on 80 yo and justifies his up charges by asking "do you know how much dental school costs?" You have got to be kidding!!!!!!! He joked about his hygienist always changing her mind on her career choice "she wants to do something different each week" that week she wanted to be a child psychologist, his assistant bored me with her life story (Navy wife) while I sat in the chair and then proceeded to thump me on the arm when Dr. T had his hands in my mouth. A crown was made WAAAY too big and caused me to bite my tongue, he filed it down 2X before agreeing to do a re-do as a "courtesy". An 80 yo with a wavy chestnut brown rug on his head discrediting his staff and complaining about the high cost of dental school? Is this professional? Where does a person go to find a dentist that just does basic dentistry and doesn't want to put an addition on his house or take an exotic vacation?

I am a bit concerned about their prices, they charge $49 for the fluoride treatment, every other dentist I've been to across the three states I've received care in has charged $19. When I brought up this huge discrepancy, other dentist in the area and asked why there was a difference. They were unable to fluoride treatments cost more here. When I asked about booking my next cleaning, I was told they didn't have availability until way later in the year and that I would need to call back to get an appointment so I could use my two free cleanings per year. The staff was great, my main concern is price gouging especially when the services are the same.

They don't waste money on a fancy waiting room, but their X-ray equipment at every chair is top of the line and way more comfortable / less invasive than my old fancy dentist. They have smart TVs at every chair so you can watch literally anything while they work on your teeth. I never felt any pain while I got a ton of cavities filled, a tooth extraction, and a dental bridge. Despite being a high volume clinic, they are EXTREMELY accommodating, nonjudgmental, and friendly as ever even when they are swamped. They remember who I am even after several months in between appointments. I am 24 and the dental hygienist holds my hand during the numbing process because they are just really, really caring despite being so busy. I have been seeing Dr. Nik Choudhary and I highly recommend him! He's fast and doesn't make a lot of small talk, but my dental work looks great, and most importantly it was all completely painless. The dental hygienist (her name starts with a C I think?) is always an angel. I can't applaud Bright Dental enough for creating such an inclusive and helpful atmosphere for EVERYONE who needs a healthy mouth. I spent years and years avoiding the dentist but no more! As a fellow healthcare worker, I can tell their priority is to genuinely help as many people as they can, and I have never felt like profit is their goal. They have worked with me financially and they are known for taking same-day walk-ins, dental emergencies, and patients with no insurance. THEY ALSO TAKE BADGERCARE and are open on Saturdays :)

At my first appointment, I came in specifically for a root canal consultation, but the staff seemed unaware of that and instead performed a full exam. I then waited nearly two hours before being seen, only to have a very brief (about 5-minute) interaction where I was told they would need prior authorization. About a week later, I was informed the root canal was approved. However, when I returned on May 1, 2026, I was told that while the root canal was approved, the crown was not--and they weren't even sure the dentist would proceed without a crown plan in place. I was then told the crown would cost $900 out of pocket. As someone with Medicare and Medicaid, that simply wasn't feasible. Eventually, the dentist agreed to proceed, but there was still no clear plan for a crown, which caused me significant anxiety. When I asked about alternatives, I was told they could remove the existing filling, drill out the infection underneath, and place a new filling. I agreed to that option. From there, the experience only worsened. I waited another 30 minutes while the dentist appeared to be juggling multiple patients at once. When it came time for numbing, I specifically asked for topical numbing gel beforehand. Although a technician briefly applied it, the dentist immediately began injecting Novocaine without allowing it time to take effect. The injections were extremely painful, and I received multiple shots. The procedure itself was also very uncomfortable, but I felt I had no choice but to endure it to get through the appointment. To make matters worse, I was scheduled for a follow-up appointment, but when I later called to confirm, I was told I wasn't even in their system. Overall, this experience felt disorganized, rushed, and unnecessarily painful. I will not be returning.

They tried to do the procedure in the dentist's office, but they weren't able to get me numb enough, and referred me to Capital Endodontics. I was nervous going in - the experience in the dentist's office the week before had me convinced this was going to be a painful procedure. Dr. Landwehr immediately put me at ease. His chair-side manner was amazing, and the first thing he explained was why I experienced pain when the dentist tried to do the procedure, and how they would numb me so that wouldn't be repeated. He then went on to explain what was going on with my tooth, why I needed the root canal, how they would do the procedure, and why it was the right solution. The procedure itself was comfortable and quick. Dr. Landwehr was thorough in explaining what was going on the entire time - what I would smell, hear, and feel - which I greatly appreciated. I think one of the most notable things about the whole experience is the absence of any post-procedure discomfort or pain. My jaw is slightly sore from my mouth being open for so long, but the tooth and surrounding area feel fine - no sensitivity, no tenderness. I had my procedure around 2:45pm and by about 6:30pm all of the numbness was gone and I was able to eat a (relatively soft) dinner without any pain or discomfort in the tooth. I highly recommend these folks if you need a root canal, and from the other reviews here, looks like you can't go wrong with any of their practitioners!
