They have a very sweet team, I had no problem booking my appointment, getting my records transferred here, and my day of service was great. I am a bit concerned about their prices, they charge $49 for the fluoride treatment, every other dentist I've been to across the three states I've received care in has charged $19. The fluoride was the same, the price was $30 more which does worry me about what their prices are like outside of what is covered by insurance. When I brought up this huge discrepancy, other dentist in the area and asked why there was a difference. They were unable to fluoride treatments cost more here. When I asked about booking my next cleaning, I was told they didn't have availability until way later in the year and that I would need to call back to get an appointment so I could use my two free cleanings per year. The staff was great, my main concern is price gouging especially when the services are the same. read more

The office is beautiful! Very up to date and cozy. When I was brought back, I happily sat down in the chair, because it has massagers built into it! After being unsatisfied with my search of dentists through my insurance company, I was pleased to find Byce and Worman Dentistry. I trust the testimonials of past patients and the staff here lived up to their multiple 5-star reviews. Upon entering the examination room, everything was well explained before any treatments began. The hygienist, Tiffany, was pleasant, patient, and answered all of my questions. Specifically, when I asked about receipt of previous x-rays, she offered the option of deferring the procedure if my last x-rays were up to date. Similarly, after reviewing my x-rays and doing an examination, Dr. Worman chose to hold off on completing a filling on a potential cavity spot. I have had negative experiences with past dentists who stressed the importance of drilling and filling for preventative measures when I was not sure it was necessary. His decision shows me that he is willing to work with me rather than provide a strong recommendation for an potentially unnecessary procedure. Regarding other procedures, the cleaning was thorough and discomfort free. Work with insurance so far as been easy, and they even mailed me back my insurance card when I accidentally left it on the desk. At no point did they say they were not going to do the cleaning I came in for. They just said "If you will follow me to the front we can schedule those cleanings." read more

I recently had a root canal performed by Dr Worman. He did a great job and the procedure was entirely pain free. His assistant Heidi, was very personable and also very knowledgeable. Boy, two days ago I had a GREAT first appointment here. Let me say, everyone working there seemed happy - not creepy clown happy or fake airline attendant "Goodbye now and thanks for flying with us" happy - but just sincerely pretty happy. Anyhow though, starting from the beginning: When I arrived, I was greeted and asked to take a seat in the waiting room, where I sat for NO MORE THAN 90 seconds - probably more like 60, before being called back to start paperwork. I stepped into Bobbie's office ("Bobby's"? Please forgive my spelling.) She was like a cool aunt to me, right away. :) Very fun, very personal, even let me look at the computer monitor while she entered my info. (I work at rather prominent medical software company in the area so looking at the Dentrix interface was intriguing to my wacky mind.) Next, I felt very comfortable and calm with my hygienist, Bree. Couldn't believe it. The hygienist is supposed to be the worst; They have the scary painful tooth scraper and the collection of vibrating gizmos that feel like nails on a chalkboard. Nope, I would even go so far as to say that it was peaceful. I also appreciated all of the insights and explanations of what was going on - Didn't have to give those, but they sure set you apart from other hygienists. Finally - I spent the least amount of time with Dr. Byce (Brad), despite many issues which had accumulated in the 2 years since I last visited a dentist (sorry, mom) but this was for good reason: He was quick, knowledgeable, and confident in a way that left me thinking, "...Sir, I entrust my teeth to you and I will follow you into battle." I was quite happy with my dentist. Well, mostly with my hygienist, but my wife and kids were all seeing Byce & Worman, so I thought I'd move over with them. They are all happy there, and it made sense to try. My first experience was a basic cleaning. Tiffany was gentle, but efficient. Dr. Worman came in and looked at a few things and we had a talk. I had been experiencing sensitivity in one area. My previous dentist tried some things, but mostly based around sensitive toothpaste and a sealant during each cleaning. They always tried to get me to replace silver fillings as a maintenance task. Dr. Worman looked at that area and noticed a large cavity behind a filling - it probably had been there a while. It was close to the nerve, which would explain my issues. He said I was looking at a root canal and crown (since the tooth was mostly silver filling). While not excited about the fix, I was glad he took the time to listen to my concerns and then address the issue head on. On top of all that, they were most concerned about my wallet - they wanted to make they used my coverage to MY benefit, possibly deferring some work until next year if coverage wasn't optimal. It worked out that I could have it all done with max coverage NOW, so that was great. But the fact they cared enough to look into that - that was impressive. Yesterday was my root canal and crown prep appointment. Now, I'm not a good patient at the dentist, but I will grip down and get through it like a good little soldier. I have to say there were no issues at all. Heck, I never even felt the anesthetic shot he gave me - I felt him put the topical numbing agent on, but that was it. Huh. Then, he commenced with the various drilling and prodding that goes along with those procedures. I never had a root canal before, but I kinda knew when he was doing it (based on him doing things I had never seen/experienced before). No pain, no discomfort. In hindsight, my wife informed me that he's THE guy for root canals - the "Michael Jordan of root canals", if you will. He moved on to the crown prep - more drilling and shaving, and no pain or discomfort. Before long I was out of there with a handful of ibuprofen and a "have a nice day". Today, still no pain. Not even soreness. Seems strange. I've literally had worse experiences with basic fillings (at other dentists). The staff at Byce & Worman are excellent. Bobbi at the front desk is so personable and caring. Dr. Worman is my kind of guy - we share a taste in music and can talk about golf. read more

After leaving a vm just after normal Friday office hrs with news of my gimpy molar AND that I was going to be out of the country for the next 2weeks, Dr Worman called me to schedule a time to fix everything. Few dentist offices are as professional and kind as Byce and Worman. I bought a Groupon for them and was so pleased with everything, including their location. The office building is clearly new, and full of sunlight. The staff was warm and efficient for my first cleaning. Bonus; they use a sonic device to remove most plaque instead of the old school scraping device that still haunts my nightmares. On my second visit, fillings for a few cavities, Dr. Byce was thorough, professional, and really cared about my comfort. Finally, as a new client of their's, I was given 2, $50 gift cards for friends to spread the word. When a card is used, I also receive a $50 credit on my account. read more

I feel kind of weird reviewing a dentist, but I like this place. All of the staff are really nice and good at what they do. Each exam room has massaging dentist chairs so you can relax when they're doing work on your teeth and they have a bunch of nifty gadgets. I came here for some chipped teeth and they used this laser thing to prepare the surfaces. Also they have this neat cleaning thing (I think it's called a waterpik or something) that agitates the plaque buildup off your teeth. Pretty cool. Also I think their pricing is reasonable, especially compared to my old dentist in Minnesota. read more

I went here after extensive research. I had a horrible experience at DHA in Fitchburg with a filling. The technician was very friendly and explained everything she was doing and seeing. She cleaned my teeth quickly and efficiently (DHA took 2 hours). Dr. Worman did my consult and he was friendly and explained everything clearly. I had a horrible filling at DHA and explained to him my experience. I needed more fillings so he came up with a plan to ensure that I had a good experience and was very empathetic to what I had been through. I had three fillings and a crown, it went wonderfully! He did have to do an extra block on top of the normal blocks once he started drilling but once that were complete, I felt nothing (at DHA I had to go through the whole filling, feeling everything). He suggested bringing my headphones (great idea), they also had a tv right above me, a massage chair, I took a sedative ahead of time and had Nitrous on hand in case I needed it (I did). The entire staff is very friendly. They had my insurance breakdown within minutes (took DHA months to figure it out despite it being a very common plan). I would highly recommend them, especially if you've had a bad experience before. read more

I was not pleased with the service I got here. I went to Bye and Worman about two years ago having then just purchased a Groupon online. While the staff were nice and the building was very new, I felt like they were a little pushy about retaining my business with them despite having already told them I had no dental insurance and wasn't planning on coming back right away. After my cleaning I was told I had five cavities. Not having the money to spend on my teeth at the time I waited to have those cavities filled. Once I was back on dental insurance I went to a new dentist, Dental Associates, to do a cleaning and have those "cavities" looked at. There I was informed I had no cavities and to come back six months later for a cleaning. DO NOT COME HERE! They will tell you you need costly work done when perhaps you do not. Ask your friends and co-workers for recommendations. That is how I found a dentist that I am truly happy with. read more

Byce and Worman made a mistake with their estimate on what my insurance would cover, and tried to charge me months later almost double what I had originally paid. After a conversation with them, they acknowledged the error on their end and waved the additional cost. They were professional and speedy with their follow up, I will be continuing to take my business to them. read more

I and my 6 year old daughter went here because they had a short notice opening. The DH was quite thorough and did a good job on my teeth. Dr. Byce reviewed my X-rays and indicated I had 2 teeth that needed immediate cavities filed with one likely going to be a root canal with another 5-6 more cavities to be filled after that. I just had a "clean bill of health" from my dentist 1 year earlier and none of my teeth were causing me any pain. From information from Dr. Joseph Mercola I told him I was not getting a root canal to which he responded they would have to extract it immediately. I also indicated that I don't get amalgam fillings because the mercury is toxic and he just said "..they have been shown to be safe...". The DH was rather rough on my daughter and when I told them not to perform any fluoride rinse Dr. Byce came out to the waiting room and verbally insulted me that I was risking my child's dental health. On top of this, they said we had adequate insurance to cover "X" amount of the bill and my responsibility would be ~$100. Two weeks later I get a bill for another $40 that they said our insurance did not cover. I contacted my insurance company and they said they provide very accurate coverage information as long as the dental work that is being quoted for is accurate. My previous dentist always managed to get the coverage amount accurate and I never had a follow-up bill. I told BW that I had paid "my portion" of the bill the day of services and that my insurance provides accurate coverage information. That had no explanation other than the coverage amounts were not as much after they had submitted their claim. They are now threatening to sue for the $40. REALLY? Frankly, I agree with A K. that this place is looking to take you for all the money you can afford to pay! They'll put a filling in every tooth if you let them. And, if you don't believe mercury and fluoride is safe then you are just an idiot! read more
