Dr. Saitoski is simply superb. She has excellent chair-side manner. Always monitoring for pain points, fielding questions, listening attentively. Her explanations were thorough but concise. Hygienist Tess is supremely patient and encouraging. She completed a deep cleaning that took twice as long because of the lapse in time since my last regular cleaning but was a good sport about it. Abby and Mia were so nice and accommodating and careful when taking X-rays and prepping me for tests and procedures. The working relationship of the staff is highly professional in general. I called to make my child's first ever dental appointment - and they did not gather any demographic information. Only my child's name... no date of birth, no phone number.. nothing... we scheduled the appointment, thankfully I had to call back and reschedule. I rescheduled - gave the new scheduler my phone number and child's information - THEY NEVER ENTERED IT IN! My fiance just took him to his appointment that was supposed to be canceled but, they never entered my information to call me!!! HORRIBLE! 1/29/2026 Work @ Epic and Looking for a dentist, please read this before you make an appt. There are lots of choices out there. My original review was written 1/6/2026. I felt it should be updated The office manager responded to that review, saying that if we had problems getting a hold of her. I mean no malice; I just want other Epic employees to be aware of this situation. So they don't find themselves possibly going through this, especially for those who travel a lot. This has been a frustrating experience, made more frustrating by today's experience with the office manager. A few years ago, he had some crown problems. . Here's a quick summary of why he asked to be compensated. My husband has needed backup 5 times since 1/6/2026. Will need another 1/2 day. He will have spent 2 1/2 vacations day and will need another half. 1/6 went to have it checked 1/8 temp crown put in ( fell out that same evening) 1/9 temp crown put back, but needed to go to Middleton since Verona couldn't fit him in 1/20 for a permanent crown. Didn't fit right 1/29 Thought he was getting the permanent crown, but dental work was needed 2/13 Hopefully, the permanent crown He's spent 3 weeks being careful about what he eats. Now has 2 more weeks to wait. Having used 3 sick days by the middle of Feb is frustrating. Hopefully I can update this in February, saying that he has permanent is finished, so that he can be back to eating anything he wants. My husband paid the full amount after the dental insurance kicked in. When my husband spoke to the officer manager about possibly being compensated for what I typed out above. She listed a variety of reasons why they couldn't. I'm going to highlight two of them, Six crowns myself, so I know how you feel. ( I doubt she's had this same experience of coming 6 times ) And we don't do free dental work. My husband wasn't looking for free dental work, but a little knocked off for the fact that he would need his backup 6 times instead of 3 is the reason he asked. The one positive was that the dentist said if the crown comes in, maybe they could get him in before the 13th Hopefully, in 2 weeks I can come back and update this, as it finished. read more

Have been getting my teeth cleaned for over a year. Generally it was easy to schedule an appointment but at times no one answered the phone. Clean facility and friendly staff except one of the hygienists was rude where I shared my concerns with the manager. Recently got a denture and they don't use digital scan yet. read more

We have been VERY unsatisfied with this dental group in Verona. There are so many other options. Stay far away!!!! My son first visited this office a few years ago when our regular dentist was unable to fit him in for a cleaning. At this cleaning, he was told he had several cavities that needed to be filled. They also tried to upsell him on various procedures he did not need that were NOT covered by our insurance. I was at the visit and told them we absolutely DID NOT want these additional services. He as able to get back on schedule with our regular dentist 6 months later. She was shocked he was told he had cavities as she found NONE! Time has passed and he is now living on his own and trying to take over adult responsibilities. He again tried First Choice Dental in Verona. At that time an xray was performed that was NOT covered by his insurance and was NOT NECESSARY as he was having no issues or problems. He was NOT explained that this was the case and is now required to pay for an unnecessary xray. As a young person just starting out, trying to understand the responsibilities, I feel the office took advantage of him. I tried having this discussion with several people at their office and was told he needed to take responsibility. Be very careful if you do go here! Questionable business practices for sure. I visited First Choice Dental Verona about two weeks ago. The dental procedure was completed seamlessly. The dentist, Dr.Felix, was friendly and professional. He provided great dental counseling, and went above and beyond to ensure patient's comfort during the procedure. His assistant, Bree (I hope I spell it right), was also really nice. I was greeted with a big smile, and had a nice conversation with her. She also checked a couple times to make sure that I was comfortable during the procedure. The office staff also provided excellent customer service. They were friendly and professional! They made sure that I understand the details of current and upcoming dental services, helped with scheduling future visits and other administrative needs. Went in for my appointment on time and was scolded for not replying to the text reminders or answering the phone 29 minutes earlier while I was on a business call (no message was left). I was told that conformation of the appointment was required and turned away. I have been coming here for years, never missed an appointment and always paid my bill promptly. I will not be returning. These people are literally the nicest people ever. I came here a few months back for my first regular check-up in Madison. Because my last check-up back home was less than 6 months ago, they couldn't do an x-ray without charging me. Instead, they waived the fee so they could get an appropriate picture of my teeth. Then they told me that I needed some deep cleaning that could end up costing me ~$500 out of pocket. I was ready to pay, since it's my teeth, which is pretty kinda important ya know? They didn't want me having the cleaning just yet and instead put me on an antibiotic to kill the plague build up, and see how my teeth would be later. Went back two days ago, and apparently I didn't need their deep cleaning treatment anymore because my teeth's condition improved significantly. I had a normal bi-annual cleaning instead with Dorrie, a dental assistant. Dorrie was the most attentive person ever, making sure I was comfortable while letting me know what was going on during every step of the process. I came out of there knowing more about the teeth cleaning process than I ever wanted to. But honestly, fantastic service that puts you before their own needs. I highly, highly recommend seeing them for your dental services if you are not already! read more

I have been a patient of the Verona location for years. I've not had a bad experience all these years. The staff know me by name and I know most of them by name. The hygienist are all super. They are precise and very caring. The Dentists are top of the line. My favorite was Dr Wagner. She went on to her own practice. I am now with Dr Penwell. We have a good relationship and he is very friendly and knows my peculiar situation. I am very satisfied with the treatment I receive there and will not be going to a different dentist any time soon. I have been going to Dr. David Penwell for about 14 years, and could not find a more professional and capable dentist. His running explanations--"what I'm going to do now is . . ."--friendly demeanor, very friendly staff make a great team. I've experienced complicated procedures as well as the usual cleanings and fillings, and they have always turned out well. I visited First Choice Dental in Verona in February 2021 for minor oral surgery with Dr. Penwell and his Dental Assistant Amber. They treated me with ultimate care and my visit went perfectly. Dr. Penwell is a great dentist and educator too. He and Amber answered all my questions with confidence and professionalism. Though my surgery was basic lasting less than 30 minutes in duration, Dr. Penwell called me at home later the same day to be sure that I was feeling well. Worst place.... I have never been to a medical facility with so many snarky, rude, condescending people. There was only one exception to this; that was the first dental hygienist we scheduled with the first visit. I gave it a second chance...second time was worse. Unless you like being spoken to as if you are a disobedient dog, and want to be chastised by a dental technician because they don't like the brand of toothpaste you use, bullied with product propaganda, I would suggest scheduling elsewhere. Have been many times and never experienced the bad treatment others have described. I've had x-rays and cleanings, and I got veneers on my two front teeth last year that cost a pretty-penny and I've had no issues, they were incredibly informative and helpful throughout the whole process, and it truly seemed like they cared about my well-being. read more

I had over 15,000 worth of crowns that dentist said were necesarry, 2 root canals and several cavities all done in 2 day process with sedation. One and a half years later I was frustrated with the discomfort I was still having, went to a different dentist who was shocked at the crown work done, end of tooth still exposed and a cavity underneath. Said crown should not have been needed. The root canal was not done completely now I have abscess way up in mouth. Kicker is all those crowns need to be drilled for cavities where root showed and replaced. Placed was a factory geared to make money who did not care the least about the shoddy work nor the money I spent. read more

First Choice Dental is very much a commercial enterprise. They are geared toward seeing hundreds and hundreds of patients each day, and for the most part, they are efficient and orderly. Because they run at such a high volume, don't expect folks to know who you are. For example, I've never seen the same dentist twice. I have seen the same hygienist for years, but recently she left, so I'm going elsewhere. Be forewarned about strict appointment practices. While I've had to wait well over an hour for my own appointment (or my kids) sometimes, they will cancel if you are ten minutes late--keep in mind the focus on high volume. Also, many times you are asked if you'd like to pay for extra treatments not covered by insurance. I get tired of this as it makes the hygienist seem like sales person. For these reasons, I'm taking my business elsewhere. I've decided to go to a dentist closer to my home who also uses modern equipment and techniques that I want, but doesn't make me feel like a number or a dollar sign. read more

Please think twice before choosing this office! I heard good things about other locations but this location just sucks! The reception was very nice, but the manager NIKKI (she is the worst manager I have ever seen, in a business context) did not respect patients and did not apologize when they did something wrong... The worst that happened to me is that they cancelled my appointment out of no reason... and called me 17 min before my appointment time when I am already on my way. Please think again! read more
