I am freaking terrified of the dentist but I am SO thankful I found Bright Dental. I don't write reviews, but as a healthcare worker, I am SO impressed with this establishment and their mission. They don't waste money on a fancy waiting room, but their X-ray equipment at every chair is top of the line and way more comfortable / less invasive than my old fancy dentist. They have smart TVs at every chair so you can watch literally anything while they work on your teeth. I never felt any pain while I got a ton of cavities filled, a tooth extraction, and a dental bridge. Despite being a high volume clinic, they are EXTREMELY accommodating, nonjudgmental, and friendly as ever even when they are swamped. They remember who I am even after several months in between appointments. I am 24 and the dental hygienist holds my hand during the numbing process because they are just really, really caring despite being so busy. I have been seeing Dr. Nik Choudhary and I highly recommend him! He's fast and doesn't make a lot of small talk, but my dental work looks great, and most importantly it was all completely painless. The dental hygienist (her name starts with a C I think?) is always an angel. I can't applaud Bright Dental enough for creating such an inclusive and helpful atmosphere for EVERYONE who needs a healthy mouth. I spent years and years avoiding the dentist but no more! As a fellow healthcare worker, I can tell their priority is to genuinely help as many people as they can, and I have never felt like profit is their goal. They have worked with me financially and they are known for taking same-day walk-ins, dental emergencies, and patients with no insurance. I had a very frustrating and distressing experience at this dental office and would not recommend it. At my first appointment, I came in specifically for a root canal consultation, but the staff seemed unaware of that and instead performed a full exam. I then waited nearly two hours before being seen, only to have a very brief (about 5-minute) interaction where I was told they would need prior authorization. About a week later, I was informed the root canal was approved. However, when I returned on May 1, 2026, I was told that while the root canal was approved, the crown was not--and they weren't even sure the dentist would proceed without a crown plan in place. I was then told the crown would cost $900 out of pocket. As someone with Medicare and Medicaid, that simply wasn't feasible. Eventually, the dentist agreed to proceed, but there was still no clear plan for a crown, which caused me significant anxiety. When I asked about alternatives, I was told they could remove the existing filling, drill out the infection underneath, and place a new filling. I agreed to that option. From there, the experience only worsened. I waited another 30 minutes while the dentist appeared to be juggling multiple patients at once. When it came time for numbing, I specifically asked for topical numbing gel beforehand. Although a technician briefly applied it, the dentist immediately began injecting Novocaine without allowing it time to take effect. The injections were extremely painful, and I received multiple shots. The procedure itself was also very uncomfortable, but I felt I had no choice but to endure it to get through the appointment. To make matters worse, I was scheduled for a follow-up appointment, but when I later called to confirm, I was told I wasn't even in their system. Overall, this experience felt disorganized, rushed, and unnecessarily painful. I will not be returning. read more

They set up an appointment and it was an half hour before seeing my granddaughter. the 2nd appointment, they had text me to make sure we were coming the whole weekend and when we got there, the sign says it's close for the day. When I called there, the man said the dentist had a personal emergency and won't be in. When we went back today the water wasn't working so they put her in another room then the dentist went to a different room and started working on someone else. I had a very disappointing experience at Bright Dental. I was billed for a full cleaning, yet the hygienist did not perform any cleaning or even examine my teeth. The dentist was present for only a few seconds, and I left feeling like nothing had been done--my teeth did not feel clean at all. This is especially frustrating because I rely on these visits for preventive care, and being charged for services that were not actually provided is concerning. On top of that, because of insurance limitations, I am unable to seek another cleaning elsewhere for the next six months. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously and works to ensure that patients receive the care they are being billed for. As for me, I will never go back there. read more

Scammers, the fact that doc stated that the rest of the teeth must be whitened before doing a crown. The doc stated that they only do cosmetic crowns and that the charge happens to be ($900.oo) the same as what the insurance dictated the root canal would be less. They clamp even though the crowns are covered 1 type, that they only do the type that's not covered. Quite a scam doc has going on. read more

A nurse told me good things about Bright in Fitchburg. Doctor Syed was professional, clear, helpful. He was a total 180° in the right direction (from Dr Chaudhary at Madison West Bright Dental, of my original review.) Their time management of this office, wasn't great when I was there, I was on time and still waited about an hour for my scheduled appt. Not so sure about cleanliness of this place, the bite wing x-ray device looked like it could use a thorough cleaning. read more

I got dentures in October and my bottoms didn't fit from the start. Finally a dentist that doesn't put me on a waitlistnand never gets back to me because of my insurance!! Love that a lot of times they can do the work needed right then and there without having to come back. Due to this though and the shear number of patients and only 1 dentist working you tend to arrive to your appointment on time but won't get called back until we'll after your appointment time, and then will sit in the chair and wait quite a long time. I travel about an hour ish (depending on traffic) or 50 miles to get there. So when I go, I go with the rest of my day open ended as I don't know how long it will take. I've had 2 or 3 root canals here and they are SUPER nice. I do NOT numb well at all and have had many previous dentists try numbing me only to max out the meds and me still not be numb, but Dr can ALWAYS figure out how to numb me. I have dental ptsd from not being numb as a child and having work done and the dentist and hygienist telling me that I was numb and I really wasn't. Every hygienist here has been amazing with soothing me when I get scared. I've not had a bad experience here at all. I have moved my children here as well. They both have braces (from a different orthodontist) and Dr works great around them. All in All in highly recommend this dentist. Only took a star due to all the waiting but if you bring a book or something to keep you entertained your good to go! read more

This place is not good. The waiting room was dirty, the whole clinic was dirty actually. No receptionist, inefficient staff, not even any music playing in the clinic. No dental exam or tooth charting, dentist briefly ran the scaler across my teeth to 'clean' them spraying water all over my face and down my neck. Then the hygienist (who had BO) polished my teeth very roughly and somehow got polish in my hair! The dentist didn't even know that one of my teeth had a crown or why there was a hole in the crown (I had a root canal through that crown). I will never go back. read more

This establishment has questionable practices. My wife had a full set of dental x-rays 3 months prior to a visit at Bright Dental. They disregarded this and took another set of full Dental x-rays for a dental cleaning, simply to increase their billing. PLEASE FIND ANYWHERE ELSE. Seriously, anywhere else. Completely unprofessional. "Person" wanted to fill 6 fillings in my mouth. They insisted this was immediate and imminent. I returned to my normal dentist now that I have different insurance and they said that all of that was totally not necessary. Just small pits in the teeth, not even close to needing to be filled. The "cleaning" was a complete waste of time once I refused to make 2 appointments for all of these fillings. So grateful for real dental insurance and a real dentist. Please spare yourself and do not come here. The tech had no idea how to do a panoramic X-ray and had me do it twice. There was a hyperattenuation in the center (which is due to my permanent retainer) and had me do it again- just to get the exact same result. The tech also forgot to give me lead for the X-ray. The "cleaning" took literally five minutes with a water glosser and fluoride. My appointment was at 5pm 6/9/22 and I left by 6:25pm- and that was me being pushy since I had somewhere else to be. Additionally, Dr. Nikhilesh Choudhary was very rude to both me and the tech. I guess I wasn't opening my mouth wide enough and he banged on my bottom teeth and said "open you need to let me get in there." He was mean to his tech too who was training and didn't know how to hold things to his preference. I've been to many dentists, and maybe it's because this dentist accepts badgercare, but worst dentist office I've been to. This office is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! The reception desk couldn't remember who I was 2 minutes after talking to me.. The dental hygienist who took my X-rays started telling me if I need dentures and they aren't happy with the X-rays they will need more...excuse me? This is my FIRST time in this office. NO ONE has looked in my mouth DO NOT assume I need dentures at 25 YEARS OLD!! Then I am shamed because my teeth are discolored and won't match their fillings?! Excuse me!!! Don't go to any locations for this business!!!! Made an appointment for my son at the one on fish hatchery rd and we are a 2 hour drive from there. We lost part of the info that we needed so we called before coming to make sure it's OK and he would be seen. We get there just to be yelled at by the front desk blob in front of a full waiting room and while she was being on the phone. Yesterday I stopped at the clinic at 4:00 p.m. to pay the upfront dental cost they require before any dental work is required for my husbands appointment today. When I arrived at the clinic the door was locked which struck me as weird, but a nurse let me in. She said she would go get "Rosie" to come up front and take the payment. The same person came back out a second time, and I asked why the doors were locked. Her response was because the office was closed. I specifically looked up the hours for the clinic and on their website it stated 9:00 - 6:00. I told her the hours that are posted on their website and her response was yes they really should change that. I stood out front for 20 minutes waiting for "Rosie" to come out and take my money. I even yelled could someone please just come up here and take my money. Nobody came! I left and was upset because now I have to make a special trip back there before my husbands dental appt today at noon or they won't provide the service. If it wasn't for my husband living in Madison and not far from this place I would definitely find a new dental office to take him. read more

Absolutely terrible. First off it took them 30 minutes to get me back when there was virtually no one there. Then the dentist couldn't even figure out if it was my tooth that was chipped or if a filling had chipped and then couldn't decide if I needed a root canal or not and then decided that I was going to have to pay for an $800 Crown regardless. When I told them no I can't afford that they decided they could no longer clean my teeth, which they were going to do and rushed me out of the office. Just terrible. read more

Just know that you might have to wait at least an hour without a seat. They tend to overbook themselves. It doesn't help to call ahead to see if they are on schedule. They were an hour behind at least but told me to come at the same time still. They told me they give me a grace period of 15 minutes, so I planned to get there 15 minutes later. But since I got there 3 minutes past that they said I had to reschedule. It doesn't matter that they don't keep their appointment schedule. When I was there there were people standing and crowding around. It was so overbooked. I was treated so wrong. Don't waste your time here. read more

Spare yourself the waste of time. I waited 90 minutes... (yes, 90. An hour and a half) past my appointment time then asked the receptionist if I'd been forgotten and was told "He's running behind". Another 30 minutes later.... I was taken for a set of panoramic x-rays then taken to a room and they did a set of bitewings.... The dentist came in, briefly looked in my mouth, said " You have no cavities but you need 4 crowns. Now I'm going to clean your teeth".... upon which he squirted my teeth with some water for about 10 seconds.... then he handed me a credit application, told me I needed $3600 for the crowns (they claim my insurance has zero coverage for crowns) and I could leave the completed application with with the receptionist. I said I would take it home and look it over. I was then told that my insurance required preauth for a "deep cleaning" (are we calling anything other than a quick hosing off a deep cleaning???) and it would take 60 to 90 days. They called me a week later and said my insurance company wanted more x-rays before approving the deep cleaning... I'm calling my insurance company myself to discuss what is being billed..... and I've made an appointment at the dental school for a check up and cleaning since my insurance won't pay for another since they are being billed for the one I didn't get at "Bright Dental". Just don't. Take it from someone who is now going to drive 100 miles to a dental school where I've always received better care and been treated with general courtesy and respect.... I went in for my appointment, had to schedule a ride as my car is down. So I get in and I'm waiting. In the chair, still waiting. And waiting! Finally he came in and because they were sooo late. Brush off the main issue and sent me on my way. They wanted me to see an endodontist. Not necessary. Oh n I was declined service. Meanwhile the cavity I did not know about broke at work. Do I call...nothing. left message with call center manager and waited 2 1/2 day and no one bothered to call. So I'm brushing and flossing and the rest of the tooth broke! I'm livid! So I call back and now I'm WAITING till the 5th to get things fixed!! Seriously??? I'm not impressed. But ya kind of got us over a barrel, I'm disabled and on state insurance and not many places will take it. So forced to put up w this BS! Rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional! I went in there to get a clean and was told I had 8 cavities so the dentist ask me if I just want to get them done now, I said yea why not, Never did the dentist even go over the cavities with me witch I thought was weird. Then the guy pokes me with a big ass needle way to many dam times, them he leaves the room for a solid 20 mins, he gets back and asks me if I still feel anything and I said yea so he POKES ME AGAIN and that's not even the pokes he gave me during the procedure. He comes back after my mouth is fully dumb and begins and I notice him drilling into my wisdom teeth witch I thought was weird after having a conversation with him talking about how I would like to get my wisdom teeth removed, come to find out Guy put fillings in my wisdom teeth that I was having removed in a month! After the fillings sit in he asks me to bite down and grind my teeth witch I did 3 times before guy got my dam teeth lined up with my jaw. Terrible experience and I have cement on the sides of my teeth to prove it. All and all I would not recommend this bright dental location to my worst enemy read more

this was the worst dental experience of my life and I haven't been to a dentist since a child, they scared me for life. from the monent I got there the staff were very rude, the Receptionist were cracking jokes about my insurance which is forward health/badgercare by the way. i didnt feel as if I was treated like a patient or even a human being, they overlooked me, they didn't inform me how the procedure would go Or even how aftercare should be. they removed my infected wisdom tooth last Friday, what was supposed to be 45 min appt that started at 10am didn't end until 1:30pm due to dr.nik leaving to work on other patients every chance he got. They didn't even numb my mouth again before leaving, knowing I had to go all the way accross town for the medicine they prescribed. The pain on the way home was so unbearable that I called them and they told me to go to the hospital, that there was nothing else they could do... two days later after my prescription ran out, I tried to contact them and can't get ahold of anyone and I'm still in extreme pain ... moral of the story listen to the bad reviews cause I didn't and I regret it read more
