The first piece of chicken I had from the buffet had a long bone in it , becareful eating the chicken! The food was cold and it wasn't great for a Chinese buffet joint. Definitely way better tasting in Jersey. The only thing I actively liked was the Idaho cooked potatoes. read more

We arrived to find a mostly empty dining room about 730 pm. They were open til 9 pm. The food was good, but I could tell it was little dried out from sitting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The dining room very clean and soft music was playing so it was a very relaxing dinner out. I bet lunch time would be more fresh and lively. Great buffet!!! My family and friends have been going to their restaurant now for about 15 years + or -. Best restaurant in town. Very clean!!!  This is where the locals and the out of towners go and everyone knows your name. The food is great with all fresh vegetables, no msg, American and Chinese food. Great prices and awesome friendly people too.  Kid's love it here too. Large parking lot which is free and that's great for in town. What more could you ask for. They also have carry out and delivery. They are handicap accessible and considerate enough to help people. They have coffee, tea, sodas and Hershey's ice cream for all the ice cream lovers out there. Menu has changed and food looks and tastes horrible. It's absurd how every other Chinese buffet has crawfish and actually decent food for $12 + drink a person. There was a wide array of delicious Chinese food, sushi, salad, and especially dessert. Our son loved the General Chicken, and our daughter enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken. The restaurant was bright and clean on a main street of Gettysburg, a pleasant location to dine. Everything here was delicious and filling. I know what people say about MSG but when you're strung out sometimes the best cure is Lo Mien. The waiters here are always on their phones but I understand, sometimes you just got to hustle, boo. I wasn't sure if this place was BYOB or not but it was by the time I stumbled out. My only gripe is that even though they say you can't get a doggie bag, they never mentioned anything about securing certain food items in your purse. I feel like if that's a policy then it should be mentioned before I waste my time bringing my Ziploc freezer bags. I don't go to a buffet for the ambiance, unless I'm in Vegas, and I don't expect Maine lobster to be included in a $12.99 special when you're in Gettysburg. If you keep in mind that Li's is a buffet and not a gourmet $35 per plate venue, I believe you will agree with me that you will find Li's to offer the best value around. The food is far above average, both in quality and selection. The decor is certainly outdated, but I find that to be part of the subtle charm of the place. I especially enjoy the coconut shrimp, the variety of sushi choices, and the cream cheese wontons. I stumbled across Li's by accident about a year ago and have yet to be disappointed in my ten or so visits since. I try to give bad places more then one shot, giving them the benefit of the doubt. I have been here 4 times now, and NEVER again will I waste my money or my stomach lining on this place. The selection isn't very big, but its not a big place. However, what they do have is just awful. If its not cold, its dried out and hard as a rock. Anything with seafood in it smelled quite strong, too. Never a good sign. They have someone on site to make sushi, if you can call it that. There might be one or two sad looking pieces sitting out, I would not recommend trying them. Just awful. The things that are supposedly tempura fried are tasteless little chunks of batter with a variety of sticky sweet and nasty sauces. In conclusion I am very sad that this is the best Chinese Buffet that Gettysburg has to offer. There are other Chinese places in town, from now I will just order a variety of dishes from a place that knows what they are doing, instead of trying to make do with this garbage. read more

Decided to give it a try after a long day of walking around,was tired and hangry. Your typical America Chinese buffet. The manger/owner( I guess) was very polite and very attentive to us which goes a long was in my eyes! The food was good and a good selection of it. I would recommend it for a fast meal that will fill u up. The food was hot and didn't seem as though it had sit out there all day and just been stirred up. Definitely would return!! read more

Decided to go in with my husband for dinner around 5. Not too fancy but I'm no snob, good food is where you least expect it but this isn't one of those places. The selections not very good to begin with but on top of that half the food I tried was cold. The waitresses were sitting around on their phones so there were no drink refills. After we tried a few things and didn't find one thing we enjoyed we waited 5 minutes for a waitress to come by then went up to get our bill. We told the man at the register how half of what we tried was cold, he then told us "it must be a difference of opinions because other customers have said it was the best they've ever had" and rung us up for 27 dollars. 27 dollars for 2 plates of cold food. Food was not fresh. 'Special' Alaskan crab legs were disappointing, probably from frozen cold storage. We asked for fresh dumplings, because the ones on the buffet were gray and dead. When we asked for new ones, it seemed to cause an issue in the kitchen. But they did, and their best effort was sad. I love dumplings, but these made me think of dog meat mixed with some scallions. Alas, they never refilled the dipping sauce on the buffet, so I got to experience the full array of taste blandness. Place was dirty. Li's is a very nice buffet. It's not a huge buffet or a 5 star Chinese restaurant but it is a good family buffet. It is best to visit during peak times as with any buffet so the product turnover is better. Reasonably priced for a buffet. Frequent diners can also take advantage of the buy 9 get one free card. The staff are very attentive and nice. We have been visiting Mr. Li and his family for years and will continue to do so. read more

It has been forever since I had experienced amazing customer service. Our waitress Joyce was extremely pleasant and helpful. My son's shoe fell off while trying to escape the high chair. She stopped what she was doing and came to help. Jay was an outstanding host. He made jokes as he showed us to our table. Had a wonderful Birthday meal at Li's Buffet with family and friends and they made a crab out of a cucumber for the birthday lady! The food was fresh, hot and tasty! We came to Gettysburg for a short tour and didn't realize there is an amazing buffet here in the town. My son's likes the amazing food here and the quality and ambient is the key. The owner's Li is very welcoming and he greets all customers. Two thumbs up for sure read more

Clean, well lit, nice seating. Most of the food was edible. Some of the meats were cold I.e the chicken skewers.

I like the fact that there was not an overwhelming selection. There were fresh clams without any sauce, which was okay by me, since there was plenty of hot sauce and soy sauce to season it up. The white rice was pristine, meaning that the Americans, or locals, don't touch that stuff, only the fried foods, I guess. The only stir fry dish that I tried was chicken with onions, there was plenty of char from the wok that made it taste good, but unfortunately there was a little too much sweet brown sauce for the stir fry to stand on it's own. The fried dumplings were right on target, and the sesame bean balls were petite and very delicious, ate four of them, which was a mistake, but a pleasant one. This is a nice place, which doesn't try to overwhelm you with variety, but keeps it simple, fresh, and clean. The only suggestion I might recommend to the management is to have a few more vegetable selections, meaning some stir-fried Chinese vegetables. read more
