Main Street in Flushing has an okay MTA station. It can get fucking busy. There's always so many…read moretourists. Even so, it's not the busiest station around. The station is located in the heart of the Chinatown in Queens. A busy station at the end of the line. It serves the 7 Train. This is where this line terminates, so it's busy with all the trains. It has a local and an express. The express skips a few stops on the way to Manhattan. Be sure to look for the right track, but it doesn't always run so you may not be able to take it anyway. If you're a tourist heading here, it drops you off in the middle of the neighborhood. There's plentiful Chinese restaurants and shops. It always seems so busy. In spite of this the station is pretty clean. There's endless possibilities of great Chinese food along Roosevelt and the other streets.

The #7 IRT train from Manhattan to Flushing, Queens, you have to love it or hate it. It goes to some of the iconic destinations in NYC, like CitiField, Flushing Meadows Corona Park & Jacob Javits Convention Center. It also connects Times Square with Grand Central Station and more recently, Hudson Yards with the farthest reaches of Queens. It goes through some of the most densely populated areas of the City, so ridership is high (re: packed like sardines in a can). So many memories were made on the 7. I remember as a teenager going to the Mets games at Shea Stadium with my friends or playing ultimate frisbee or football under the Unisphere. And the fare was just 50¢ for a subway token each way! Later as an adult, we would ride to the US Open to watch Pete Sampras or Andre Agassi and the fare would be $1.50 using the Metro-Card. The 7 is not without its ups and downs. Probably 80% of its tracks are elevated with its terminal stops underground and a long stretch going under the East River. The exposed elevated tracks from Sunnyside to Flushing seem to have more than its share of maintenance woes and currently do not stop at 3 station platforms undergoing reconstruction. I remember not too long ago, pieces of the structure like rivets & rusted out steel would fall onto cars along Roosevelt Ave and the MTA had to sling hammock nets under the really corroded sections to catch falling debris. Also on short notice, it will not run into Manhattan, which is a major inconvenience for Queens residents. The MTA is trying new schedules though, with direct express trains for Mets game or the US Open, which benefits Manhattanites mostly. So, if during rush hour you see my face pressed up against the door window, it probably was not by choice, just out of necessity that I had to get somewhere and couldn't wait for the next train. Now, even with repairs at certain stations it's like every 3 minutes there is another train coming after the first one left. The trains are new. Found them to be clean compared to some of the other lines. What I love about the 7 train "International Express Train" for its diverse neighborhood at every station that you get off. It's like an adventure and you are venturing to another country, smell the fragrance and aromas of the food being cooked. Every country that is represented and you find enclave of eateries and shops. It's like a mini United Nations on the 7 Train. -The MTA 7 Train will take you to Citi Field for Mets Game. Get off at Willets Point Station. Also Flushing Meadow Park, and US open as well as other events. -Get off at Main Street- Last stop towards Flushing. Chinatown- Lots of food shopping and dining experience. Don't forget the Sky View Mall-You will see segment of the mall as train heads underground toward Main Street. Just a few descriptions of the stations on the 7 train to whet your appetite. Mainly, the ticket booth. I do not feel that the service has improved in regards to it being less crowded. This service provided does not improve the concert crowds of people riding this bus. For the people that actually retrieve a ticket kudos to you. For the ones that pretend they don't understand, y'all need to get it together. You're holding up the bus! Honestly, how long has SBS been in effect? This is an ongoing dilemma. My thing is this, if a person takes the same bus every single day there's no excuse as to why they don't retrieve their ticket before hand. Due to them there's a hold up with the bus driver leaving.

This is a pretty decent LIRR station compared to many others. It does have a commuter parking area,…read morealthough it's nowhere sufficient, but it's a small miracle that they even have those. They do have a waiting room area, but it's only open for a few hours a day, which is pretty terrible during bad weather or in the winter. There weren't many ticket machines, which is usually okay. The platform going towards Long Island has none, so watch out! Lastly, what's really annoying is that every half hour or so, either this station or Auburndale is skipped. It only takes an extra minute to stop at both during off peak hours, so this is just an inconvenience to local residents - as if the high price of commuting to Manhattan isn't enough!

He scanned our ticket and we boarded. The bus was pretty full, so we ended up sitting separately. The above head storage bins are kind of tight, so I had to take something out of my over stuffed backpack to manage to wiggle it in. While my purse sat on my lap. I liked the foot rest and the hook on the handle on the seat in front of me. Trash bags were hung here and there. Looks like they also provided small bottles of water for us, though we had to grab those ourselves. The electric plugs didn't seem to work, but perhaps the ubs plugs in the ceiling did. Our driver was a great communicator. He set expectations so we knew that we had a 20 min rest stop before arriving at Baltimore, and pointed out things to help us to pay attention and to get back to the right bus. He warned us that given current construction that we were sure to arrive later than what our tickets said, and gave us his best eta given the circumstances. Another passenger later commented that the bus bathroom was clean. We kind of ended up being dropped off on a brightly painted bridge in the middle of no where - perhaps on Maryland Ave?, by a bus stop. A short walk from Penn Station.

You have the Q10 Bus to JFK Airport, Q37 to the Resorts World Casino, the Q46 to St. John's University which terminates here. As well as other busses to elsewhere. Plenty of destinations if you ask me. However, it looses a star because the busses are too spread out and I personally think the Q10 and Q37 should share the same terminal since it'll be a better "transit hub". The Subway: As we all know, the NYC Subway is one of the best in the world in terms of service levels. This spot has the (E) and (F) Lines, however I personally believe that the (MTA) should send the (F) straightforwardly on the Local Track, and the (E) on the Express respectively. This will lower congestion and speed up service. But still, the ADA Compliance is great! Elevators are provided to every level and platform of the station!

I would think the "BEST" city in the world where dreams are made of, would at least be up to par with technology. I understand there will always be delays, but it's almost on a daily basis.

The trip there was fine, but when we were getting ready to head BACK to the city, the driver announced that there was a MANDATORY $3 tip per person. He walked through the aisle to collect it from everybody on the spot. He was argumentative and rude toward passengers who refused to pay the tip. A very uncomfortable situation--felt like a robbery. Tips are a gesture of appreciation; I have never seen any service provider be aggressive like that. The bus company should tell people in advance about extra fees. I don't like confrontation/tension, and didn't feel comfortable watching the driver argue with people. Would NOT recommend.

The driver didn't speak English, except for when he demanded $5 tips from everyone before driving us home and then screamed profanities at us when we left. His driving was atrocious and the car disgusting so we didn't tip him at the end and he flipped out.
